Chapter 21: Aurora Magic Power
The three left and arrived at their rest house, unlike Aiden. He arrived late because he had to have a short talk with Allana about the bet.
Half an hour passed, Aiden finally arrived at the rest house. The house was in the northern compound of the Astralis Magical Academy, a fairly large house with two floors.
When Aiden opened the door, the woman named Clarissa stood just behind the door with a cynical look and both hands clasped around her waist.
"What?" asked Aiden.
"What are you doing?" asked Clarissa.
"This is the mess house for the entire 71st squad. I have the right to—"
"No, you don't. You have no right!" said Clarissa, interrupting Aiden's harsh words.
"The three of us agreed not to recognize you, not to help you, and not to admit you!" insulted Clarissa, causing Aiden's eyes to narrow sharply.
"I really can't understand why they let a commoner like you enter this academy, a sacred and honorable place for nobles," Clarissa complained as she shook her head.
'Their hatred for my presence at the academy is giving me a hard time. What Mom and Dad said is completely true. They won't let me learn easily,' Aiden said.
Clarissa raised a hand and pointed ahead, towards the pavilion in the house's garden. She said it was obvious that Aiden could stay there for the night.
Aiden looked at the pavilion, quite clean and well-maintained. Still, the temperature outside was much colder than the warm air inside the house.
"If you don't want to, you can go find your own place to rest!" said Clarissa.
SLAM!
Roughly, Clarissa closed the door and locked it. Aiden clenched his fists tightly, still watching the wooden door before him.
His anger was peaking after some of the mistreatment he had received during his time at the academy.
sHe brought up two fire arrows from the top of his palm, eager to kill his team members.
Even so, Aiden was reminded of his goal. He couldn't fail and be disqualified just because of the anger in his heart, that would make the noble children happy.
'Calm down, Liu Feng. This is your consequence, you have to accept it,' Aiden said.
He calmed his anger as he took a deep breath. Aiden removed the two fire arrows and began walking to the garden pavilion.
It was 7 p.m., the situation inside the academy was quiet, though he could see some of the participants starting to train on their own in the practice field near their homes.
'I need to find a way for me to survive independently without them,' Aiden explained.
Aiden activated the red magic aura from his body, trying to perform another two-magic synchronization with Aurora inside the beast dimension ring.

Again, the two-magic synchronization process panel continued. Aiden closed his eyes and focused on transferring his fire magic energy to the ice-blue gem on the ring he wore.
This made Aiden's figure clearly visible in the darkness of the night, due to the aura of fire magic emanating from him.
Unbeknownst to Aiden, Melinda had been watching him from the second floor of the house, through the open window of his bedroom.
She saw Aiden practicing in his loneliness, but she didn't know what kind of training he was doing.
The door to the room opened, Clarissa came in and saw Melinda looking out the window.
"Melinda? Are you looking at the view of the academy at night?" asked Clarissa, a woman with short shoulder-length hair.
Melinda responded by shaking her head. She closed the window and drew the curtains, then looked back with a smile.
"I was thinking about tomorrow's exam," Melinda replied.
"Oh dear. You don't have to worry, Ronald is a High level talent. He can surely protect us," Clarissa said.
The woman with long red hair nodded. She hoped Ronald could really protect those with low talent, especially since Clarissa had clearly told Aiden that they didn't need him in this test.
"I hope so."
At Aiden's place, Aiden's soul consciousness suddenly shifted to a certain place he did not know.
The place was spacious and bright, the floor made of calm water, every step of which caused a small wave.
"What is this place?" asked Aiden.
From beneath the floor, an ice-blue dragon appeared, much to Aiden's surprise. The ice dragon flew into the sky and roared loudly as if it was welcoming him.
"Aurora?" greeted Aiden.
"Thank you for taking care of me all these times, Aiden," said the ice dragon, its female voice echoing through the place.
"You can talk?"
"Only in this place," Aurora replied.
"I see everything through this ring. They really are scoundrels!" growled Aurora.
"I can help you defeat them. You can use my powers," she explained.
"Your powers? But how?" asked Aiden.
Aurora seemed to close her eyes, the beast taming pattern on her forehead lighting up and releasing a blue energy laser until it hit Aiden's forehead. Aiden didn't feel any turbulence in his body when it happened.
About five minutes passed, Aurora stopped that and flew low until she fell asleep in a circle on the floor. Aiden began to feel a difference in his body.
"There's a cold sensation in my body," Aiden replied.
"That's a bit of power from me. Any magic you use will contain a bit of my power," Aurora said.
"They won't realize it was my power," Aurora replied.
"Defeat them and get high quality gems for me, Aiden."
Aiden cleared his throat in agreement. He would do it for Aurora, even though gems related to the magic element were quite rare.
The young man regained his consciousness. He opened his eyes and saw that it was already 1 o'clock midnight, meaning that six hours had passed when Aiden met Aurora.
He stopped his magic aura, seeing that the two-magic synchronization panel had achieved a significant, albeit slow, improvement.

Aiden stopped the two-magic synchronization process because he felt that his body was tired and sleepy. He looked back, gazing at the temporary house of the 71st squad.
Again, the house was fairly quiet with the lights of the house starting to turn off. Ronald, Clarissa, and Melinda must have been fast asleep to prepare for tomorrow morning's practice.
'I don't know. I have no idea if I'll be at practice tomorrow morning or not,' Aiden said.
'I'd rather practice alone than rely on them.'
