Chapter 161: 161: We, the Dragon Knights, Shall Do as Drunken Dream Does!
"Godslayer's people are really trying to take over the whole Ancient Road map? Is this how they operate?"
"Disgusting! We tolerated him when he came to the station earlier today, but now he pulls this stunt? What the hell is he thinking?"
In the dense forest deep in the Ancient Road, two UC faction players were furiously cursing.
Nearby, monster spawn points were clustered tightly, with 15 spawn points within a ten-kilometer radius. The monsters were high level, but their strength was moderate, offering plenty of experience. A 60-man small squad of 25-30 level players could easily occupy 2-3 spawn points. Many guilds were grinding here to level up.
"Brother, what should we do? That guy's trying to steal our points, and he's bringing over a hundred low-level life players with him."
"Ignore him. That guy's crazy," Slaughter Spree said darkly. Earlier, he had already given Godslayer's guild some face, but now he didn't feel like continuing to give in.
Even though he knew that if this escalated and reached Demon Emperor, his leader would surely scold him, he was still pissed off.
It was ridiculous. The Godslayer guild was known for their powerful core players, but now they were forcing a bunch of low-level life players to take over the Ancient Road?
They weren't going to let it slide so easily.
UC-Flying Man: "Don't think just because you made the leaderboard you can push us around!"
UC-Wind Chaser: "I've been holding back all morning, but enough is enough. Let's fight it out. What if you have a battle pet, huh?"
"Are we really going to fight now? Flying Man and Wind Chaser are both S-rank candidates for Dragon Knights... Are they really thinking of fighting Godslayer directly?"
"No way, Three Crown King brought a bunch of life players. This fight's unwinnable unless they want to be killed by Dragon Knights again."
"Let's just start the fight. I want to loot the gear."
At this point, some of the nearby casual players rushed over, eager to pick up whatever items dropped from the chaos.
UC-Wind Chaser: "Orgod, don't you think you're being too overbearing? One person trying to occupy an entire map? Do you think you can handle it?"
Not long after, a large number of UC faction main combat players descended from the mountain. They were all at least level 25.
Orson observed quietly without saying anything. UC guild had been rising steadily, formed by the merger of several mid-sized guilds. Their core members were seasoned players, and their combined combat power ranked just below top guilds like Supreme Guild, Moonlight Guild, and The King Family, barely qualifying as a tier 2 guild.
"I remember we made an agreement before: as long as my people come, you're supposed to vacate the area. Are you backing out of it?" Orson said calmly.
UC-Wind Chaser: "Your people are just over a hundred life players. You really think they can take the spots?"
UC-Flying Man: "I'll give you a bit of face and let you have one point. Don't push your luck!"
"Friends, that's not what we agreed on earlier," Orson's expression darkened as he spoke.
"What's your point? Earlier, it was one situation, and now it's another. Your main players were strong, but where are they now?" Flying Man sneered.
Earlier, Money Traveler, Madman, Iron Cavalry, and twenty other combatants had been present. They had given Godslayer's people face because they thought they had no chance against them. That's why they "generously" vacated the entire area for grinding.
But now, a single mage was relying on a mutated lizard beast, trying to take everything for themselves?
Was this some kind of joke? You're asking for trouble!
"Five... Four..."
Seeing that they were clearly not planning to honor the agreement, Orson started a countdown.
"UC faction, I beg you, don't run! Kneel before the power of the Three Crown King!"
"I, Orgod, am not afraid of Usher, let alone a bunch of weaklings like you!"
Some small guild players chimed in, mocking Orson and preparing to jump in for the loot once the battle broke out.
"President, a true man doesn't let himself get bullied. Let's run and find some backup!"
The cleverer life players, like Lumberjack, nodded eagerly.
Just as they were about to retreat, Crimson Lizard King suddenly stood up. With its massive dragon wings, it sent Lumberjack and the others flying several meters.
Seeing the towering figure of Crimson Lizard King, the two Dragon Knight candidates had their eyes light up. This was their dream mount!
Although it was three times fiercer looking than a normal dragon, its overwhelming presence immediately made the two of them consider their options.
"If you want to keep your gear, you can trade it for this mutated lizard!"
Flying Man sneered, while his group split up to intercept Orson and his party.
"This is a great opportunity!" Flying Man thought.
At that moment, Slaughter's members arrived, and upon seeing the confrontation, Slaughter Spree's heart raced.
The situation had escalated. He decided to act—either fight to the end, or walk away with nothing.
He was sure that with the right conditions, even the terrifying Three Crown King could fall.
And with Drunken Dream being a "warning" in his mind, his confidence grew.
Besides, there were two other players, both candidates for Dragon Knights, with them.
This was the perfect moment to prove that the world of Infinite Dimensions had no one Slaughter couldn't handle!
Slaughter Spree: "I've had enough of you, Or.."
"Sorry, countdown's over. It's time to grind the monsters."
Before Slaughter Spree could finish his sentence, Orson smiled slightly, and a pale blue mist erupted from his staff.
The Ice Prison Ring expanded rapidly, freezing the entire eight-kilometer radius into a deadly frozen wasteland!
"Ice Resistance Potion!" Flying Man shouted, his dragon lance whipping in the air as he quickly tried to regain his stance.
The information about the Three Crown King's skills was no secret among top guilds. Fire and Ice resistance potions were standard equipment, and players prepared at least a dozen for situations like this.
The players quickly shook off the control effects. The life players, however, were too scared to do anything. They couldn't even imagine taking on the players in front of them.
"I told you, you can't win."
Lumberjack shrieked, believing that a weakling like him was nothing compared to the might of the Dragon Knights.
"There's nothing we can't handle. Just sit back and relax," Orson said calmly, smiling as he saw the panic in the life players' faces.
Lumberjack's face changed drastically, and before he could respond, two dragon lances were already within twenty meters of them.
"Dragon Knights..." Everyone collectively swallowed nervously. These were S-rank professionals!
Orson glanced at Flying Man and his companion, then slightly raised his staff. Two Chaos Magic Balls flew toward them.
Block!
Break!
"Attack speed's so fast!"
"How is the trajectory changing mid-flight?!"
The two Dragon Knights' faces fell as they took two more Chaos Fireballs directly to their faces.
"Ha! Without the burn damage, you're nothing but trash," Flying Man cursed.
But before he could react, Orson had already launched two more headshot strikes, sending one Dragon Knight back to the respawn point.
Lumberjack glanced at his teammates, who were starting to comment.
"I don't know, these S-rank Dragon Knights aren't really all that strong. Look at them—they went down so fast!"
Slaughter Spree and the rest were left standing in disbelief, their feet stuck in the deep snow, trying to regain their composure.
"Slaughter's friends, is something wrong? I hear you calling for me," Orson said, eyeing the group curiously.
"O… Orson?"
Slaughter Spree forced out a smile, "What I meant to say is... we're backing off."
"You can... go ahead and grind. We're not in a hurry at all," he said, quickly retreating.
