Infinite Range: The Sniper Mage

Chapter 193: 193: A Good Omen

"Karenqin, this place really has a beautiful view. So many purple flowers. I just want to spend my whole life with you in Infinite Dimensions."

"Aichiwa, I feel the same. How about we see if we can make a baby in the game?"

"Hey~ stop it! Who wants to make a baby with you..."

On the peak of a mountain, a handsome guy and a beautiful girl were tangled up together, blushing as they gazed at the scenic valley below.

"Wow! Look, a shooting star! Infinite Dimensions is amazing, we can see shooting stars even during the day!"

The girl jumped up excitedly, pointing at a streak of light in the sky for her boyfriend to see.

"Huh? Why would there be a shooting star in the middle of the day?" The male swordsman frowned, confused.

Though unsure, he clasped his hands together and muttered fervently, "God, please bless me tomorrow when I meet her offline. I hope she's not a dinosaur... Please, this is the fifteenth failed meet-up!"

Karenqin paused, looking at the sky with a puzzled expression. "Wait, the shooting star's getting bigger... It looks like... it's heading right toward us?"

The male swordsman's eyes widened in horror. "What the hell is that?! That's not a shooting star! Someone's casting a super-sized magic spell!"

"Forbidden spell?" he murmured under his breath.

Boom! The mountain ridge trembled violently, stones crumbled, and trees were torn apart. Countless rocks scattered in all directions, indiscriminately hitting everything in sight.

"Damn... I'm so scared!" Karenqin screamed as she hurriedly hugged her boyfriend.

The swordsman, already on edge, cursed the game developers a thousand times. "This game is cursed! Just the other day, while shopping with my girl, the damn tavern door randomly broke! Is this how it is now? Trying to hook up with a girl and getting hit by rocks?"

Meanwhile, Orson observed the battle log with a frown. "I've done my best to avoid player spawn points... How are there people here?" he muttered, puzzled.

Shaking it off, he aimed his Dragon Curse and Celestial Descent skill straight into a cave entrance.

Smash damage -50,000!

The cave ceiling collapsed with a single hit, massive chunks of debris flying everywhere. Hundreds of dragon-type monsters fell like wheat under the scythe, overwhelmed by the brutal attack.

But the ten Lord-Class Dragon Warriors barely survived the onslaught, letting out blood-curdling howls.

"King's Spear!"

Ten golden spears rained down from the sky, aiming for Orson and his mount, Crimson Lizard King.

"This range is a bit too far," Orson muttered, surprised. The spears reached even though Crimson Lizard King was a kilometer in the air. This was far beyond the usual monster range.

"Think you can take me down with your barrage of spears?" Orson sneered. He swiftly adjusted the flying mount's position.

He knew that dealing with boss-level enemies required more than just standard tactics. These powerful bosses were often designed with unique mechanics. Once the King's Spear locked onto a target, it wouldn't stop until it had killed.

Orson, remaining calm, didn't attempt to dodge the incoming spears.

Instead, he ordered Crimson Lizard King to unleash a fearsome dragon roar and dived toward the ground, opening its massive maw to release its devastating breath.

Crit -60,000!

Just before crashing into the ground, Orson leaped off, using a jetpack to cushion his fall as he soared through the air.

The God Emperor's Earrings shone brightly, activating his spatial passage, and the golden spears missed their target, crashing into the monster horde below.

Boom!

Boom!

Boom!

Explosions rang out as dozens of dragon creatures were impaled by their own allies' spears, causing massive chaos and destruction.

Meanwhile, on the same peak where the couple had once stood, Orson looked down at the ground where two blue items and a few coins had dropped. He sighed in regret.

"Such a mess," he muttered, feeling guilty for ruining their peaceful moment.

"Who the hell just killed me? Show yourself and give me my gear back!" Aichiwa shouted furiously.

"Who the hell is so disgusting? What kind of person randomly uses magic like that? You're an embarrassment to us mages!" Karenqin shouted as well.

Orson turned around in confusion, spotting the two figures riding toward him on horseback. It was the same couple from before.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to. I was just farming monsters," Orson said with an awkward grin, showing his white teeth.

"Wait! You... you aggroed all these monsters?" Aichiwa's expression turned pale as he saw the monsters rushing from the hillside—at least a thousand strong!

"What the hell... Ten Lord-Class baby dragons? And this many ground dragons?!" Aichiwa swallowed hard, slowly backing away.

Karenqin, still furious, shouted at Orson, "What's wrong with you? Just farming monsters and ruining our date? Are we in your way?"

Aichiwa grabbed her mouth to silence her, looking serious. "Don't talk nonsense. Infinite Dimensions has way too many pros. We have to stay humble... humbler."

He quickly tugged her away from the scene.

"Stop acting like a coward!" Karenqin complained, still grumbling. "What's so scary about a mage who summons rocks? Sure, his skill's strong, but it's on cooldown now."

Unaware of the growing tension, Aichiwa seemed to calm down, but when he realized who had just attacked, his heart skipped a beat.

"You... you mean that's Orgod? The US Triple Crown winner? The one who wrecked the UJ region?"

Aichiwa paled, quickly sending Orson a private message.

"Please, don't kill me. Just let me off the hook, okay?" he begged.

Orson casually replied, "If you want your gear back, talk to my guild leader."

Aichiwa, a bit embarrassed, responded, "Having the chance to be killed by you is my honor, honestly!"

Meanwhile, Orson continued to kite and kill the monsters around him. His Chaos Chain triggered, and five of the Lord-Class Dragon Warriors were forced to use their Body Domination ability.

"Once Body Domination is used, they're as good as dead," Orson thought to himself, watching the cooldown trigger.

"Today's a good omen," he added, feeling the power coursing through him. Brahma's Divine Flame activated again, increasing his Dragon Curse by 20%.

Boom!

A fiery mushroom cloud erupted, sending countless fireballs scattering in all directions. Aichiwa and Karenqin, still running, glanced back just in time to see their flesh disintegrating in an instant, their bodies turned into nothing but skeletons in the explosion.

"Your kill of Karenqin: 100 Evil Points."

"Your kill of Aichiwa..."

"Oh shit, I didn't mean it!" Orson panicked, more than a little guilty.

The situation was getting out of hand, but his instinct to clear monsters kicked in.

He quickly compensated them with 100 gold coins and mounted his Crimson Lizard King, setting off to deal with the remaining monsters.
