Infinite Range: The Sniper Mage

Chapter 196: 196: Crisis

[Goblin Technology · Type 1 Mana Warship]

[Created by Player Nightshade]

Quality: Heroic

HP: 3,000,000

Attack Power: ???

Sky Wolf-Black Moon was dumbfounded, his mind racing with a question: Did a player really make this thing?

Sky Wolf-KT: "WTF, attack power unknown, and there are at least twelve cannons on that thing—way more than any NPC warship!"

Rattlesnake-Accounting: "We need to close the distance. This warship might look shabby, but it's definitely a killing machine. I've seen magical warships in action, and they can obliterate everything in their path!"

The two guilds quickly huddled together, discussing how to counter the new threat.

Both of these large guilds had their own magical tools—like the 5,000-gold-cost mana war chariots, with more than twenty stashed away in their arsenal. These were their trump cards.

But compared to the goblin-made monstrosity in front of them, these seemed like child's toys.

Sky Wolf-Black Moon: "The young master is right, we absolutely cannot fight at a distance. If we let this thing shoot at us from far away, we'll get destroyed!"

The guild members nodded in agreement. The warship looked impressive, but with only 3 million health, it was comparable to a regular boss. With their numbers, they should be able to take it down in a few rounds of concentrated fire!

"Could it be... they actually plan to engage in close combat?" Madman muttered, his eyes darkening. He shot Nightshade a smirk. "You little brat, you really have some guts. I see where I get my charm from."

Nightshade grinned. "You taught me well."

The two laughed like devious villains.

The twelve cannons on the warship were just for show, designed to intimidate. The real surprise lay in the goblin explosives crew on board.

Of course, Nightshade could also build a real magical warship, but at his current level, the cost would be astronomical, making it a poor investment.

Black Moon: "One for you, one for us. Let's see if we can destroy it and claim it as our own. If we can, we'll make a fortune!"

Rattlesnake-Infinite: "We should be able to. If the magical equipment is destroyed, we can loot it and take it back to be repaired."

Over 2,000 players from the guild drew their weapons and rushed toward the warship, poking and prodding it with a series of loud clanking noises. They quickly realized that, despite the eerie noises coming from inside, something strange was controlling the ship. But the warship didn't fire a single shot at them.

Black Moon's eyes lit up. "I can't believe it! We got it right—this warship is in a blind spot! It can't retaliate!"

Rattlesnake-Infinite couldn't help but burst out laughing. "You're a genius! Even if we don't take the stronghold, we can probably sell this warship for a million gold coins. Not a bad deal, right?"

With a barrage of ranged attacks, the warship's health began to drop, and the players felt increasingly pleased with themselves.

"Hey? Why did it stop? Is it already damaged?" Black Moon was taken aback as the warship suddenly came to a halt.

The sound of heavy metal doors opening echoed as two iron doors at the side of the ship creaked open.

"Could there be an ambush inside?" Black Moon thought, immediately gathering his forces to block the door.

"That damn smell... Could Godslayer's people have been using this place as a latrine?" he grumbled.

The players nearby wrinkled their noses at the foul odor, while a few curious ones leaned in to see what was making the incessant noise inside.

"Wa-ga—Wahaha!"

Suddenly, a shadow darted from the ship's opening, and a green arm grabbed two players by the head and jumped out.

"Goblin... Goblin explosives expert?"

"What the hell are these things? Don't just stand there, calm down!"

Sky Wolf guild members stared in disbelief at the goblins' names, struggling not to laugh. But the next moment, they were no longer laughing.

"Wa-kaka! Time to blow things up!"

"Wa-ga!"

A dozen goblin explosives experts poured out, jumping into the crowd and laughing maniacally. Their green skin rapidly swelled up, soon inflating like balloons.

Boom!

Boom!

Explosions rocked the battlefield, sending crimson waves of blood spraying through the air. Black Moon and his team were completely stunned, muttering, "Self-destruct?"

The scene was so gruesome it was almost impossible to tell if it was real or a game.

In an instant, more than six hundred players were reduced to blood and guts.

Rattlesnake-Infinite: "F**k, Godslayer, I'll rip you apart..."

The two guild leaders were turned into mush, their bodies obliterated by the explosions. The high-level players watching from above, including members of SSR, were sweating bullets.

"They actually... have self-destructing creatures helping them?" DonutWizard swallowed nervously, a cold sweat running down his forehead. He had been tempted to rush in and steal the warship when he saw Sky Wolf and Rattlesnake about to destroy it. But now, it was clear that it had been a deadly trap.

"Assassin squad, cut them off!" Madman's voice rang out, and over thirty figures melted into stealth.

The players from the two guilds, still reeling from the goblin bombs, scattered in panic. Godslayer's elite players, who had survived numerous battles, immediately went on the offensive, swiftly closing in to wipe them out.

These players had impressive paper stats, but they hadn't experienced the kind of bloody warfare Godslayer's troops had been through. They were petrified by the carnage.

Madman led the charge, cutting through the enemy like a hot knife through butter. His Holy Shadowbane Guard set, powered by Dragon Crystal and the Deadly Requiem skill, allowed him to sneak up and deliver devastating strikes.

The first attack triggered a 100% critical hit, dealing enormous damage. Each subsequent attack replenished his health, turning him into a nearly unstoppable killing machine.

"Ruby, Absolute Kid, Wild Gale, follow me. Protect the Obelisk and buy Orson some time!"

Bradley, clad in his Holy Heretic Crusher gear and exuding an aura of dark red light, charged toward the enemy with his dual swords gleaming with deathly intent.

"No one dares to act recklessly in Godslayer's domain! Not NPCs, and not their damn fathers either!"

With a single step, Bradley's power sent twenty elite NPCs flying, and he dove into the enemy ranks, unleashing his Dragon Crushing Slash.

The Holy Heretic Crusher allowed him to obliterate armor and stun enemies, making him a terror on the battlefield.

At the same time, Ruby, wielding the Colossal Blade—ranked eighth on the legendary weapon list—danced through the enemy ranks. Her agility and power caught everyone by surprise, as she swung her massive sword, mowing down the NPCs.

The battle raged on as Godslayer's small group of sixty players clashed with the NPCs' thousand-strong formation, soon breaking through their lines with the help of the Obelisk.

But Cain, the Lord of the battlefield, remained calm, his voice booming across the chaos.

"Foolish adventurers, do you think this can stop the Emperor's advance?"

"The Flame Dragon Lord, step forward!"

"Enluka! Protect your King!"

"Where is the Xian family?"

Cain's voice resonated with power, and soon, two terrifying black shadows appeared from the clouds. A massive red dragon head emerged from the mist.

"Dragon! A dragon! And not just any dragon, but the supreme Flame Dragon Lord!"

"F**k! There really is a dragon attacking the city. I thought that was just a gimmick!"

The live stream chat was flooded with excitement, as players stood frozen, their eyes wide with disbelief. The massive shadow in the sky was nothing short of unstoppable!

Wedge's lips curled into a smile, sensing that a chance to turn the tide had finally arrived.
