Infinite Range: The Sniper Mage

Chapter 199: 199: Baron of the Conqueror

"Noble Title: Baron."

"Exclusive Title: [Imperial Administrator]"

"This title can be upgraded or exchanged for higher ranks and fiefdoms by completing quests for higher-level lords or gaining prestige."

"Acquisition Method: Be among the first one thousand players in the Light Dragon Empire faction to kill 150,000 monsters."

"Effect: You become a low-level official in the Light Dragon Empire with the basic right to govern a town or village with fewer than 1,000 inhabitants."

"You have not yet acquired town governance rights. You will receive a monthly subsidy of 500 gold until you acquire your fiefdom's taxes or have been in charge for one year."

Noble titles in Infinite Dimensions are ranked as follows: Emperor, Duke, Marquis, Earl, Viscount, Baron. The Baron rank is at the bottom of the noble hierarchy, and it's the most common among NPCs. Although many players in the past obtained this title, advancing in nobility or acquiring a fiefdom was incredibly difficult.

Reaching a million reputation could only bump you from Baron to Viscount, which only increases your monthly subsidy to 1,000 gold. Thus, most players regretted it, thinking they could have made more profit just by taking a 10,000 gold bounty.

Orson glanced at the description of the title and then quietly waited. Governing a town with fewer than 1,000 inhabitants didn't appeal to him.

"Ding-dong—"

"Due to your sin value exceeding 100,000, you may choose another noble title with no gold rewards and no upgradeable paths."

A prompt echoed in his mind. Orson nodded in approval—it was exactly what he was looking for.

"Noble Title: Conqueror Baron."

"Exclusive Title: [Tyrannical Ruler]"

"This title cannot be upgraded through reputation or quests."

"Acquisition Method: Be among the first to kill 150,000 monsters and accumulate over 100,000 sin value."

"Effect: You gain unlimited challenge rights to any noble with a fiefdom. If you defeat them, you can inherit their fiefdom and title."

"Note: This title does not grant a gold subsidy and will bring endless conflict."

"Gods' Review: Only violence can make followers more loyal!"

A black title appeared on the interface, and Orson immediately selected it. This title was exclusive to super red-name players and represented those who dominated through sheer force, often ruling territories by force.

Most red-name players couldn't receive supplies in towns or main cities. But once a "Tyrannical Ruler" was in charge, it became a paradise for red-named players, with all game services available in their territory. In the past, an S-level super red-name player had turned his fiefdom into a city-sized stronghold, becoming a terrifying tyrant.

With this title, not only could one challenge the lords of main cities, but even top-tier nobles like Dukes could be challenged. The key was to acquire a fief, and Orson was excited by the possibility of this "unlimited challenge" right.

"This title is really impressive," Orson muttered to himself, amused.

Although challenging top NPCs like Dukes would be exceedingly difficult, he saw the potential. He didn't need to settle for a small town and could aim for something greater.

"Are you coming or not? We're about to retreat from Celestial Fortress."

At this point, Madman sent Orson a private message.

Orson glanced at the battlefield strewn with monster corpses, confirming there were no loot left to collect. He replied, "I'll retreat first. There's one more troop point I can't clear in time, but I'll be there shortly."

As Pondenorlin City had been evacuated, the teleportation portals were temporarily closed. With not enough time to clear the last mixed monsters, Orson had to abandon the final spawn point.

Meanwhile, the last two Magic Stone Obelisks fell, and the guardian Enluka charged into the Godslayer Alliance's camp, wreaking havoc. Giant stone cones rained down, and a cloud of dust rose as more than sixty players were instantly wiped out.

Enluka roared, its dragon power unstoppable, as it crashed into the Bone Dragon Stronghold's walls with its magic rock armor.

Boom! Boom!

Heartbroken Loli shouted, "Look at it! So meaty and so tough! My sword can't even break through!"

The surrounding warriors jumped onto Enluka, but their attacks were laughable. Absolute Kid remarked, "I want to laugh too, but this thing may not have magical abilities, but its physical defense is insane!"

A holy light struck Enluka's body, but the rock armor only cracked slightly. Even Absolute Kid, a top-tier tank with explosive single-target damage, couldn't deal significant damage, reducing its health by only a few hundred.

The three Earth Dragons were massacre machines, tearing open huge gaps in the Bone Dragon Stronghold's walls.

"Kill! We'll take back what's ours and clean up the SSR rot!" Reaver bellowed.

His 1,000-strong main army, half of them professional players, launched a skilled assault, expertly handling Godslayer's knights and the Moonlight Guild's knights.

DonutWizard grinned. "Don't let these trash escape! Moonlight Guild's girls think they can compete? Earth magic AoE slow them down!"

"Mud Pit!"

"Earthquake!"

"Quaking Stone Spikes!"

Dozens of Earth mages unleashed spells, creating massive waves of earth that trapped and immobilized Empress, Iron Cavalry, and others, reducing them to easy prey.

"Molten Dungeon!" DonutWizard sneered, flames of fire rising around him as a massive furnace-like magic construct appeared.

Surrounded by flames, dozens of fire elementals materialized, extending their arms to unleash scorching white flames that engulfed Empress and others.

ShatteredCrown cursed, "What the hell, is this 'Molten Dungeon'?"

Ride Donkey shouted, "Fire magic immunity potions don't work?"

Stewart replied, "Magic Dissipation doesn't work, we can't dispel the burning debuff."

The players were shocked as they quickly downed magic resistance potions, but their health kept plummeting.

Burn Damage: -4,000, -5,000...

This was an A-level exclusive magic for fire mages, a devastating skill that ignored normal fire resistance and low-tier dispels. Once trapped, the only way to escape was to either tank the damage or kill the caster.

More than twenty knights were burned alive as DonutWizard's madness began to show.

"Die, you little weaklings!" he howled.

Just as he was basking in his "victory," a cold voice rang out from the heart of the fiery dungeon, startling everyone.

"Who are you calling trash?"

A silhouette emerged, walking gracefully from the flames, a phoenix reborn from the fire!

Madman froze as he saw her, coming out of the inferno like a goddess of fire.

Empress, with a light command, summoned a deep, thunderous dragon roar! A crimson beast shadow appeared beneath her as she mounted it, her dragon lance humming in unison with the roar!

An unstoppable fiery wave surged toward DonutWizard.

"Dragon Knight Tactics: Dragon Flame Fury!"

The air exploded as the inferno instantly extinguished!

"Flame Dragon!?" DonutWizard's scalp went numb. "How does she have one!?"

Empress sneered, raising her hand to unleash a hundred-meter-long scorching lance. DonutWizard and his SSR players were instantly obliterated.

Critical Hit: -40,000!
