The appearance of the creatures was too sudden for both of them, but this situation was nothing new to them.

"Ptssssss…!"

They had fought many creatures, and had been in many of the difficult situations like this one so they knew well how to deal with something like this.

They knew how they could deal with something that was needed at that moment or something that was not needed for now.

-Ooooooooooooooooong!

So, when Eon first perceived an attack coming from under them, he cast a protective barrier around Rein and him and vanished from the place using his movement skill.

[{ "Delta three." }]

[{ "Let's go with Delta two for now." }]

[{ "Alright!" }]

Eon knew abusing them right away was not going to play out in their favour even if they fought them directly, so her suggestion made sense to him.

It was only a moment ago that Rein had seen just how horrific of a being that Naga was.

It was not on the level of a normal creature. Like some [King] ranked knight, that being possessed a [World Authority], a power only given to those who had gone beyond their mortal limits.

She was able to see 'numbers' of quantified data about someone with her eyes. And even though she was not able to see through the status window of this being, she knew just how dangerous it was.

Still, that one aside, she knew just how dangerous the rest of the creatures that were standing with the Naga were.

She knew the danger that they were in, so she knew spacing out right now was going tobe the end of them.

Thus, she somehow managed to calm her down, called out Nept, her EFMW, turned it into the sharpest possible scythe, and used her {Air steps} to leap into the sky.

-Baaaam!

-Brrrrrrrrrr…!

The two avoided the creature that had come from below, the creature that seemed like an earthworm, but in fact was much more dangerous than any simple being.

It was surely a snake as well, but it was a Natural creature that had Earth spirits helping it.

Perhaps some of those spirits were contracted with the creature, or perhaps the creature had formed a deep bond with them, but whatever the case, they were not simple beings.

It was a (Purple) monster.

And, there were three more beside this one in this chamber.

[{ "Of course we can." }]

They weren't strong enough to take on all of the beings present in this place, so they knew fighting all of them at once with that Naga present here was out of the question.

That's why they were going to employ a divide and conquer tactic this time.

[{ "Rein-." }]

[{ "Don't." }]

Rein knew Eon was going to say some red flag words when she heard that particular tone and stopped him right there.

She knew they might not be able to win against all of these creatures present. Some of the creatures weren't something they would be able to take on by themselves so they were going to have to divide and fight these creatures.

-Oooooooooooooooong!

Hiding powers was not a luxury they could afford anymore. Their lives were perhaps at stake here right now.

Also…

[{ "Time flows six times faster here, so, we shall wrap things up within a day or so." }]

Rein was an anomaly.

Just like how Eon could perceive and process all the energies in the environment, she could also perceive the flow of time so accurately that one of her branched Origin skills had developed into something that almost gave her control over time.

[{ "Haha, a day? Are you saying we have to finish three (Purple) ranks in a few hours? They aren't even all that we have to fight, Miss Fiancee." }]

The first creature that attacked them from below was just the start.

After that one, they were attacked by the rest of the nine or so (Indigo) rank creatures together.

To their demise, the creatures had a strange synchrony and attacked them in harmony. It was almost as if they were a single entity that was being controlled by someone else.

[{ "People kill creatures like these little ones with one attack. We can at least do a dozen attacks, no? Use the stash you have been saving… I'll use my armour as well." }]

[{ "...?!" }]

Eon had reacted to the attack of the first creature and after creating that shield around them, he called out Asta as well as Celes.

In addition, he took out a golden Quiver from his White gate, along with one of his magic bows.

He was not going to use one of his favourite bows this time since he was going to use the powerful Arrows containing spells of (tier-6) and above.

The Quiver that had been taken out was similar to his silver one in the sense that it contained more arrows than its size, but unlike the silver one, this one contained many more arrows.

There were many great arrows that he had created and saved up for emergency situations, and right now was one of those emergency situations.

"Ptsssss—skhaaaaaa…!"

The snakes were going to start attacking them from all directions now. They would have to use powerful attacks, and Eon was going to use his spell arrow, as well as his enchanted arrows.

If push comes to shove, he was going to use Runes and Original runes as well, however, sacrifice of all these abilities was not something he was going to care about.

On the other hand…

[{ "Do you really think you'll need that though? I will just use the 'back shelf' books if the Naga is too powerful." }]

[{ "No." }]

Origin skills.

All origin skills themselves had a special ability, something that one could only access after becoming familiar with their (Adapted Awakened Origin) skill.

Rein had her Origin skill and she had Awakened it a long time ago.

She had also become familiar with it, so she knew what her Origin skill actually did.

However, just like her Witchcraft, the Origin skill also put a lot of strain on her body that still could not handle it.

However…

[{ "Even I don't know just how powerful that snake-human actually is. If my armour doesn't cut it, only then use the [Cornerstones]. Until then…" }]

Rein used her unique footwork as Eon took down the smaller poisonous snakes using Asta and the magic bows that he was going to end up destroying the process today.

With each high level spell he uses, he knows he will end up destroying one of his precious bows that cost hundreds of gold and platinum…

His favourite ones were one of a kind and destroying them was not an option, so even though they might have been much better in a situation like this one, he preferred to go with a bit weaker ones that were more efficient considering their situation.

-Ooooooooooooooooong!

With Eon assisting her and taking care of the other snakes, Rein was able to complete her footwork. And, when she was done, she asked him to get out of the way.

[{ "Let's kill some Serpents." }]

Using her (Source understanding) technique that he had taught her, she channelled her Origin powers into her racial powers.

She channelled the unique energy inside of hers, processed it throughout her body, and manifested her Witchcraft: the [{( Death Cut )}].

-ZAAAAAAAAA…!

With just one dark slash that exploded with a deadly energy from the edge of her scythe, she instantly killed six of the big snakes… a scene that, in fact, was much more dramatic than it seemed.

From the way the energy was built up around her scythe to the way she channelled all that energy. From the way she moved, to how she concentrated it all in one place.

The technique was not simple, and she did not use just the Witchcraft.

She used the most powerful Aura technique she had, one that still spared some sufficient strength for her, and then used Witchcraft along with her technique.

It was not simple, but thanks to her Mentor, she had built up enough strength to surpass her past self.

[{ "Is it my turn now?" }]

Unlike their encounter with the Evil spirit in the tomb behind her house, they were now much stronger.

Not much time had passed since then, and yet, they were almost like completely different people. In fact, they were stronger now, and both of them had prepared extensively for sudden danger like this one.

[{ "I'll cover. But don't expect much." }]

Rein called out Clover and recovered with her help.

Then, she backed off and guarded Eon against the next bunch of snakes that jumped them with a greater intensity after seeing the gruesome deaths of their companions.

They weren't bothered by the dead bodies that were slowly corroding because of the dark energy and the Witchcraft that had completely 'cut' their Mental bodies from their physical ones.

Regeneration from that state was not going to be possible, so that was an added layer of security for them.

And, thanks to Rein, Eon was able to set three of his spell arrows on the magic bow, cover them all with some additional spells, and reinforce them with his skills.

It was going to be a combination attack. The three different arrows will combine with the three (Mana Arrows)that will appear before them.

Then the six arrows will combine into one and ultimately, the final attack will be aimed at the (Purple) one at the very back.

At least, that was the plan…

The Naga warrior was not going to stand there after knowing the tantalising extent of their abilities.
