Isekai Journey Of The Magic Archer

Chapter 1121 Arcanum core

[Eon's POV: ]

Starting today, it was training time.

We have rested enough, and now that everyone has recovered, it is now time to get better and stronger in various aspects.

'I will be in charge of Anna, Zoe will look after Del, President, Quin, and Chry while I'll leave Carla and Alf to grandpa and Elder aunt as well as a few floors that they could use however they want.'

Since we have a bunch of time on our hands, we were going to divide the day into six parts. The first part, the morning time, will be for breakfast and to get ready for the morning training which will go on till lunchtime. At lunchtime, we would gather and discuss how much we have learned or progressed with our previous tasks and share insights with one another.

'Then in the following two parts, we would do theory study on our own or in the lecture hall together. Following that would be practical lessons.'

Before going to sleep, which is the last part of the day, we would have dinner together and, sometimes, we would go to the garden area after that and talk with people back home with the help of the mirror artifact over there.

'If we are not doing that, Zoe and I will try and see if the Gate is still working and how we can activate it to go back and if the rest of them could come with us through the gate or not.'

That would be the plan for now, however, there are still a lot of things included in these training sessions. Things like Rein's role, as well as how we are going to train… but we can think about these things as we go on with it.

"So then. Shall we start?"

For now, this was time for Anna's first lesson with me.

And for her first lesson, I had brought her outside into the open area.

"Yes!"

She was a little too alert right now. It seems like she was not expecting her classes to start so soon, much less for her classes to be with me directly.

She had known me as the big brother that she loved and adored until now, but she had also seen how I was when I was teaching, so she was at least mentally prepared for anything.

"You don't have to be so stiff, dear. Just relax. It's not like we are going to start with arcane arts outright."

For today, we were going to start with the basics. The foundation that requires for someone to actually master the arcane magic arts might not be as tough as what I went through to master Solnova, but being an energy as light as Mana but a little more dense and more fluid, Arcanum was not like the other energies.

"Huh? We aren't going to learn about the arcane thing? But… sister Quin-."

"Quin might have meant you will eventually learn it. Not right now though. Continue reading on My Virtual Library Empire

Before you start running, you must know how to take steps properly and then how to walk."

First of all, she needed a basic theoretical foundation that she will only get through the understanding of the unique energy and how it is applied.

She knows a lot already but Arcanum is something that none of us possess or could use so while it would be difficult for us to teach her certain things, it is not going to be that different from teaching Alf how to create unique kinds of magic spells.

"So, we will start with building your foundations– both practical and theoretical."

Today was going to be a light lesson. We aren't going to do much, but there was one thing I wanted to show her. One thing that she needed to understand since she was going to use this unique kind of energy.

"You do know that I use an energy called Solnova, right?" My question was simple and straightforward so she nodded readily and answered in a loud voice.

"Yes! I know you can use Solnova, Mana, and Aura as well~!"

She liked reading so she had read a bunch of books that we had at home and had a good enough foundational understanding of energy which was going to make working with her a little easier.

"Right. I can use Mana, Aura, as well as Solnova. But that's not all."

-Oooooooong!

Channeling some Solnova from my foundational energy core and holding a certain crystal in my other hand, I brought up something that she was not expecting.

"This is Arcanum. The same kind of energy that is present inside of your core."

Using a condensed form of energy by channeling it inside of me first and then using it alongside Solnova was something I could only do thanks to my unique physique.

"This is Aether, this is spirit Mana, this is fairy powers, and this is what you call Origin energy."

I showed her a bunch of cool presentations and her pretty eyes glowed with each new kind of thing I was showing her.

These things, while not as unique as the things that she might have seen in the room of elements over the last two days we have been here, were not elements but pure energies.

"The energies themselves don't look any different from the others. They certainly have their own unique characteristics, but they aren't distinctive from one another."

The only reason we see different colors of Aura is because the individual that uses those energies gives their own characteristics to them. And the same is true for when one uses Arcanum.

"Arcanum is stored inside the Arcane core within an individual, a solid core that is different from the abstract core that houses Mana, or the Mind that does not have anything like storage space for Aura.

I believe you understand I channel the Solnova though the existential gates within me, right? They are connected to the primordial source that all those who can use Solnova could access through their Blockage Gates, and that is where I get the Solnova as well."

Each energy had a different way of condensing and gathering at the time of awakening. Some energies like spirit Mana are already present within oneself ever since they are born.

However, be it Mana that creates an abstract core within the body's core, Arcanum that creates a solid core that grows on its own as it gathers and refines energies in nature, or be it the Blood Core of the vampires, it all comes down to its nature.

"Before you start using the energy that is within you for any task… not to play around with but to actually use it in any manner, you will have to know the nature of your own Arcanum and the core that it is stored in."

Anna looked at me with a certain confused expression since she did not understand half of what I had just said.

She understood what I meant through the emotional understanding of the words, but the technicality of the concept was still not understood by her.

'Not that I expected her to understand it without any prior knowledge about it. So… it's fine.'

First of all, since she now has an Arcanum core that has stabilised and is now working properly, she needs to understand the Arcane energy and how to channel it to use in various arts.

"They call it Arcane arts because the Arcanum is the most versatile energy out of most majorly known energies."

It is not as thin as the Qi of the east, it is not as dense as Aether, it is not as difficult to handle as Origin energy, it is not as exclusive as Solnova, and it is not as simple as Mana either.

There is something unique to Arcanum and there are some bad things about it as well. What she needs to learn first, however, is how she can actually use this power that now lies within herself.

"People who use Arcanum are called Arcane masters, people who could use weapons, people who have a great grasp over magic, people that know how to use other techniques unique to certain professions and also people who could be called the [Versatile magus] of the world."

Solnova might have its own versatility but it was still limited in nature.

'I can use it however I want, but even if I can get as much of it as I want, I cannot use more than a certain volume of it in a certain timeframe.'

It has its upsides and it has its downsides. Still, while Solnova may be something only a few of us could use and understand, Arcanum was something the world knew about.

It was a power that one could not deny even if they wanted to, it was a power that was established due to many successful individuals, and this was also why I wanted Anna to learn as much about it as I knew about Solnova.

'Of course though, I won't be able to do it myself.'

But she was going to meet her masters in the future. For now, the only thing I could do for her was to create a good enough foundation for what she will be doing in the future.

'After doing that, well… I will just watch over her and help her whenever she needs me.'

After I give her everything I can, it would be her job to get better, and better, and better and find her own powers, her own meaning in life.

'I know what she will do for now at least…'

So, while I still had her, I had to make her as good as possible.

After she finds her calling…

'I know we won't be seeing each other that often anymore.'
