Chapter 704: The Star God Abdicates
Pale Calendar Year 1, February 14.
The Netherworld is silent, leaving only ashes.
The Clans and creatures of the Netherworld have all dissipated with Lady Rose.
It is foreseeable that for a very long time in the future, there will be no Life emerging here.
Because those ashes will eventually cool, transforming into an endless crystallization.
The high concentration of pollution from the Azure King is enough to corrode and destroy any Life attempting to exist here.
Perhaps the Netherworld will be called the "Pale Realm" or even "Realm of Death" by the Mystic Realm in the future, but Chen Lun couldn't care less...
On the morning of the second day after returning to the Immortal Realm,
Chen Lun received a letter.
The Messenger surprised him greatly, for it was a man-made golem of high rank, appearing as a basketball-sized stone orb, entirely composed of Mythical-grade stone material, with green-blue Crystal Stone growing on its surface, wearing a crystallized mask.
At the first glance of the Messenger, Chen Lun immediately thought of Clarence, the "God of Murals," and as expected, this Messenger was indeed crafted by Mr. Jing Yao.
"Please, sir, grant me something tasty, I'm a little hungry."
The Messenger, like a mini version of the God of Murals, spoke.
Its voice was somewhat youthful, speaking in ancient Anita language.
"Would Energy Baryte suffice?"
Chen Lun raised an eyebrow, finding it interesting, and communicated using Anita language as well.
"It'll do, I like it very much."
The Messenger floated in mid-air, nodding clumsily.
"If possible, I'd like to have a bit more."
"No problem."
Chen Lun chuckled softly.
He first took out Dragon Sharpstone and Radiant Stone the size of fingers, the Messenger accepted them without hesitation and swallowed them.
While munching, producing crunching sounds, it hummed in satisfaction.
Strangely, even the unstable Energy Radiant Stone didn't explode in its mouth.
Chen Lun could only attribute this to the peculiar nature of the Messenger itself.
He then "poured" a small pile of Crystal Stone into the air, using gravity to keep them afloat, the Messenger upon seeing this, delightfully spun around like a ballet dancer.
Only then did Chen Lun, smiling, open the letter for review.
In the letter, Mr. Jing Yao first congratulated Chen Lun for removing another of the old Seven Gods, followed by delivering a message from the Radiant Queen... Jessica Filomena has decided to relinquish her divine throne, offering a portion of Constellation authority.
'Haha, I suppose it's Lady Rose's downfall that frightened her... If it weren't for this, how could the Radiant Queen relinquish so decisively.'
Chen Lun toyed with a faint smile.
'But it's well, saves me from the task of deity slaying.'
In the brief period it took to read the letter, the Messenger had already finished consuming the Energy Baryte several times larger than its own volume, seeing Chen Lun put the letter away, it hurriedly approached and spat out a silver light cluster.
"Sir, thank you for the treat. I originally planned to secretly hide this thing, but you seem to be a good person, so I decided to return it to you."
The Messenger said earnestly.
"Thank you, you're very honest."
Chen Lun couldn't help but laugh lightly.
This Messenger, although equivalent to a high-tier Mythical creature, seemed to possess the mentality of merely a child. After satisfied and accomplishing its mission, it politely bid farewell to Chen Lun, then vanished into the Spirit World.
'Are you mourning your student...'
He glanced at the spot where the Messenger disappeared, feeling the emotion.
Afterward, Chen Lun lowered his head and glanced at the Unique Divinity of Constellation in his hand, casually tossed it into his mouth.
Mentally noting, twenty-two bundles of firewood.
Among which eleven are path outsiders, five Deep Sea, three Flesh, two Constellation, and one Conspiracy.
Following that, he opened the panel and took a look.
The divine task had long changed, now displaying—
[True God Promotion Task: Supreme Great Endeavor]
Current progress: 5/7 (Dark Sun True God "Profound Mother" Gorswaxi has fallen, Conspiracy True God "Old Man of Bones" Bankroth has fallen, True God of the Deep Sea "Eternal Sleeper" Sebastian Pado has fallen, Flesh True God "Lady Rose" Maria Liana has fallen, True God of Constellation "Radiant Queen" Jessica Filomena relinquished her position.)
'With this, only the Burning Father and Mudlord remain...'
Chen Lun's gaze turned profound.
There's no need for elaboration on the next target, which is Mudlord Montgomery!

Star Realm.
The vast Earth is covered under the deep starry sky.
An enormous Sun, emitting dim light, hangs in the sky, presently a huddled figure is walking with a cane.
Thud, thud, thud...
The cane taps the ground, producing a dull sound.
The old man, wrapped in a tattered cloak, rasped:
"Kinsley, though you're nearly mad, you're not deaf... Surely, you heard the death knells for Sebastian Pado and Maria Liana."
The Star Realm remained silent, offering no response.
The scavenger let out a low, cold laugh.
"The King in Azure has inherited the unfinished endeavor of Destiny. He's targeting us, the Seven Gods, to complete the promotion ceremony and ascend to a new divine position… I have sensed it. The seat of the Star God is vacant, and that useless Jessica must have given up the fight. Next, it's our turn."
The half-white, half-black sun still hung in the sky, emitting a dim glow.
The entire Star Realm was silent, as if the old man was merely talking to himself.
"Kingsley Huzzworth!"
Montgomery suddenly shouted.
The roar echoed in the starry sky, producing waves of echoes.
His tone bore underlying anger, yet even so, the sun remained silent.
"It seems the corruption has muddled your mind! Where now is the appearance of the former Sun God?! You are nothing but trash! Trash waiting to lose control and completely go mad!"
Montgomery cursed, raising his staff to point at the firmament.
"Have you forgotten how you were schemed against by Klaff in the past? Or forgotten where the Land of Matthaios went, and how Andre died? All the work of the King in Azure, all this inherited from Klaff, has made you what you are today… Now he even regards you and me as resources for his ascension, with Angela, Mia Meiwei, and Conrad all aiding him, while you, how will you respond?"
He spoke, letting out bouts of cold laughter.
"You certainly could be called the strongest, yet you are nothing more than a pitiable creature who failed to transcend the Sequence, possessing immense authority and power, yet you tread cautiously, fearing the backlash of corruption—pathetic and lamentable, pathetic and lamentable, Kingsley..."
The silence persisted.
No matter how Montgomery taunted and mocked, how he attempted to provoke the sun, the other party remained unmoved.
A trace of gloom and unwillingness flickered in the scavenger's eyes.
At this moment.
His expression suddenly froze.
Raising his palm for a look, a small stele appeared, upon which a ring inscription was undergoing a peculiar change, twisting and slowly "folding" from the middle, evolving into a Mobius loop symbolizing infinity!
Immediately, this symbol of infinity flared up with a dazzling light.
Even the mud-man himself, hidden in another domain, felt an extremely intense palpitation at that moment!
An inexorable sense of destiny descended, enveloping him like a shadow!
"Divination?!"
Montgomery was startled.
He immediately realized that the King in Azure might have already locked onto his true self using the mighty power of destiny and might soon take action.
Looking back.
At this moment, the scavenger's incarnation seemed to perceive the lone figure on the white throne of the Heavenly Fields through the brilliant starry sky.
They exchanged a glance, and the scavenger felt his whole body burning painfully, as if he would be burned alive in the next second!
"Damn! Such high authority, even my resistance and weight are powerless to stop it, what monster has the King in Azure become?! In just a decade, has he attained a realm comparable to Ring Duke Klaff?!"
The scavenger cursed endlessly.
He knew if he didn't act soon, the next True God to fall would be himself!
With the precedents of the Eternal Sleeper and the Lady Rose, he had no doubt about this.
The scavenger glanced, staring intently at the gigantic sun in the starry sky.
"You forced me, Kingsley… If I can't survive, then no one else should hope to do so, if you won't act, then just die now!"
He suddenly raised his hand, and among the dense names on the stele, the line for "Bankroth" lit up with a faint light.
Subsequently, an indistinct historic remnant appeared behind the scavenger.
An old man in a simple gray robe waved his sleeve, and from the dark depths, his ashen hand passed over, forming an intangible yet lethal web of murderous intent, layer upon layer, slicing laterally toward the sun in the starry sky—
Buzz buzz buzz!
But in the next second.
Three black-robed, crowned figures suddenly descended from the heavens.
They were the dark sun sub-gods elevated from the pathway of the Constellation Angel, followers under the Fiery Father.
They were filled with a deadly momentum, simultaneously swinging their gleaming, sharp scimitars, cutting out arcs of starry black night.
The mythical powers of both sides collided in the starry sky, erupting into a silent yet vast shockwave, like the beautiful flash of cosmic light!
"Overestimating yourself."
The scavenger sneered.
He once again wielded the authority and power of the God of History, selecting another deceased god from the stele.
The name "Gorswaxi" then lit up!
Buzz!!
A dim yellow light soared up, distorting the view.
Behind the scavenger appeared once again a lady in a spiky crown, enshrouded in a black veil dress, with the lower half of her face similarly veiled, only a pair of dark eyes casting a gaze of dead hate toward the sun.
The lady raised her arm, forming an "L" gesture with her thumb, forefinger, and middle finger in front.
A massive black flame directly engulfed the three dark sun sub-gods, and simultaneously, the lady raised another hand, posing a completely different "7."
Another deep black flame abruptly appeared from the edge contour of the starry solar disk, causing it to shudder violently.
As if this sudden strike of dark sun power acted as a catalyst, it instantly exacerbated the sun's original state, throwing it thoroughly off balance—the half-white, half-black stellar body transformed into total black in just two breaths!
The sun, burning with raging black flames, quaked intensely, then its surface erupted with blinding white beams like spears—
The three dark sun sub-gods groaned and retreated heavily wounded.
The dim yellow light symbolizing history faded, with the black-robed elder and veiled lady vanishing, coldly gazing at the sun all the way until the end.
The scavenger was turned to nothing in the supreme pure white light.
This incarnation was destroyed, yet Montgomery remained unconcerned, instead laughing with madness and triumph, his voice echoing throughout the Star Realm, reverberating for a long time:
"Hahahahaha… Madness is the dawn of hope! Kingsley Huzzworth! If you don't go mad, how can I break the deadlock…"
