Chapter 16: Chapter 16: Galerina
I walked into the bar and took a seat at a table with a group of college students.
There is something nostalgic about the lively drinking parties of students.
"Lina, your natural pink hair is amazing. It's so smooth."
"Your eyes are like jewels, you're so cute!"
The female students around me seemed to be curious about my appearance.
"Lina, anything you need, just ask. I don't take money from aliens."
The manager happily pointed to the menu written on the wall of the restaurant.
"Haha, thank you very much."
He seems to be a very kind person.
Looking at the menu, there were various types of skewers on it.
As I was looking at them to decide which one to choose, I noticed something strange.
The pillars of the wall had large cracks in them.
"That crack, what happened to that pillar?"
"Haha, it was a little damaged by the earthquake. It was a long time ago, so don't worry about falling down."
The manager laughed at my question, as if to reassure me.
But I feel like it's going to be dangerous as it ages.
In addition to letting me stay until morning, they also serve me food.
I have to return the favor a little bit.
"Excuse me for a moment."
I stood up and took out three magic stones that were still in my bag.
Then I put my palm over the cracked pillar.
"Power of wish, heal the wounds of calamity."
With the spell's words, the magic stone began to glow, enveloping the pillar.
"Whoa, what is this!"
"Wow, that's magic…"
The light disappears as the surprised people around me stare at it.
Then the cracks on the pillar disappeared and it regained its tough original appearance.
"N-no cracks! It's fixed!"
"This is real magic!"
The manager trembled beside the excited customers.
"The pillars of the store are .... I'm sorry, Lina. Thank you, .... Thank you …"
The manager, who appeared to be acting tough, bowed his head deeply.
Was there a part of him that was still worried?
I don't know what's in his heart, but if it makes him happy, that's fine.
"No, no, it's just a return to let me stay the night."
As I said lightly and returned to my seat, the manager banged on the counter with a bang and raised his voice.
"Okay, let's celebrate the restoration of the pillar! All the beer you can drink all free today!"
The crowd erupted at his declaration.
And so I spent a delightful and lively night.
And in the morning.
"Lina-chan. Since you're here, why don't I give you a lift to Kyoto?"
Akari, a female student I've gotten to know a little, told me so.
But I shake my head.
"No, I think it's safer to go to the police."
"Okay, Lets meet again!"
The college students left, basking in the morning sun.
Huh. So this is youth. It's quite exhausting.
I pulled the transport plane and headed to the police station I had been told about.
"Um, excuse me."
When I called out to the policeman standing early in the morning, he looked back at me.
"Yes, what is it?"
"This is who I am. I'd like to request support to Kyoto…"
When I managed to hand over my passport, the policeman's looks changed.
"Li-Lina Marderita! It's real…"
"Um, have you received any instructions from the government?"
"Y-yeah. A search has been arranged for this morning in the whole region. I think I'll report to the top and send you to Kyoto. Please wait inside."
He led me through the process quickly and made contact with the authorities.
Finally, I was on my way to Kyoto.
I later found out that the police station was open 24 hours a day, so I could go there right away even in the middle of the night.
Well, this is also an experience.
I slept soundly in the car and headed to Kyoto.
Was it bad that I had been at the bar all night?
I was not feeling well and decided to get a rest in the morning.
In the afternoon, I went to Nikkendo's headquarters to resume my work.
After a long time, I met the developers and shook their hands.
"Lina, it's been a while. I heard you've been sick, have you been okay?"
The female developers looked at me with concern. They are kind people.
"Yes, I'm sorry. I've produced 10,000 magic parts, and I'm bringing them to you."
"Did you really make it..?"
"I was skeptical, but I knew that Maldea technology was amazing."
The developers were surprised, as if they couldn't believe it just by talking about it.
Beside them were designers.
"So, how's the localization coming along?"
When I asked them, they immediately nodded and gave me a sample of their finished product.
It's ready. Please check the Maldean part.
I first played the finished Maldean version of the software and checked each word.
However, since it was a simple text for Hypermaruo, there was nothing to fix.
After checking the contents, it was time to check the package.
Make sure to check the design of the game console box and the maldea letters on it, and demand that they be corrected.
"It's not a problem. It's just the outer box that needs a little work. The font is cool, but if I look at it, it looks like something else. Because when the Mardaeans see them, they look at unknown letters."
"All right. We'll fix it right away."
After we finished talking about localization, we talked about the production of the Maldea version of Switz.
"When will the product be ready?"
I asked, and a salesman in a suit nodded confidently.
"With the cooperation of various parties, we should be able to produce 5,000 units of Switz for Maldea by next month. How about transportation?"
"As it currently stands, I'm the only one who can do it, so please bring it to headquarters. I'll shrink it down in my transport plane and take it to Maldea."
So the story was soon settled and the production schedule was set.
Now that the production problem was taken care of, it was time to prepare for sales.
Even if I make a product, it's no good if I don't have a place to sell it on that planet.
Once my business on Earth was done, I decided to return to Maldea.
When I returned to the warp room of the Institute, I immediately began discussing the situation with Galena.
We're different. We are not going to open our own private store and sell switz.
With such a small scale store, 10,000 units will never be sold.
We're going to ask various retailers in Maldaea to put them on their shelves and deliver them to customers.
"First, we need to create a company to handle the sales."
"Yeah. If it is just an individual, the dealers won't take it seriously. We could sell it under the name of the institute, but that would take the profits to the top. We' d be better off starting our own business."
We decided that it would be better to create our own trading company first.
I immediately went through the procedures and decided to set up my own company.
It's an import and sales company that sells games purchased from Earth
The company name was taken from both of our names and changed to "Galerina Sales Company".
TLN: At this point I still not sure the L and R. Is it Lina or Rina, Marderita or maldelita and etc…. well I will use what I like… Sorry for the inconvenience.
I am only 16 years old, so Galena is the president. I will be the vice president.
Well, the title of vice president is meaningless for a small business.
We started a small company and rented an office on the second floor of a small building.
And we decided to start working right away.
The first step is to get the game console placed in the store.
In order to do this, we need to actually visit the retail stores and ask the store managers for help.
"This is a product called 'video games'. It's very attractive. It will definitely sell well, so please put it in your store."
This is how we present our products.
Whether or not a store will place an order is a test, not only the attractiveness of the product, but also the skill of the salesperson.
The store that seems to be the best match for Switz would be a toy store that attracts parents and children.
I searched for toy stores in the capital area and made a list.
Then, I decided to go to the stores to sell them.
