I’ve Reincarnated, So I’m Going to Try Trading With Earth by Myself

Chapter 28: Chapter 28: It’s a tournament!

A holiday in Mardea.

I usually spend my time goofing off, but today I'm planning to organize a small event.

I left my house immediately after having breakfast.

Using the warp station, I headed for the bustling capital city.

There is a large toy store slightly away from the main street.

Today, with the help of the store, we were going to hold a game tournament here.

I've announced it on the communication page, so I'm expecting a good number of participants.

The main host is, of course, Sania, who is well known for her game strategy videos.

For the time being, I approached the manager who was standing at the counter of the store.

"Good morning, I'm Lina Marderita, Gallerina."

"Oh, the vice president. Good morning."

"I'm sorry to bother you today and thank you for let us renting your store."

I bowed, and the manager smiles in a pleasant way.

"Hahaha. We don't have any experience with events, so I don't really know what a tournament is. The kids who bought Maruo seem to be enthusiastic, so I'm sure they'll be happy."

Apparently, that's the reason he gave permission for an event he had no experience with.

I'm grateful for that.

As the time for the event approached, parents and children began to gather here and there.

"Um, I heard there's a Maruokarts tournament here today."

A child of about elementary school age asked me timidly.

"Yes, we're accepting entries. You can write your name here."

When I handed him a pen, he was eagerly writing his name on it.

He seemed to be quite enthusiastic about it.

By noon, about twenty participants had gathered, and the event was about to start with a good crowd.

Now, I've got to prepare for the video streaming.

I'd like to deliver this event to the people of the earth.

This is the first time I decided to do a live video broadcast.

Using yutube's live broadcasting function, I immediately started broadcasting with selfies.

" Hello, Earth. This is Lina Marcelita. I'm sorry for the suddenness, but I'm about to start a live broadcast. There's a Maruokarts tournament today at the toy store in Maldea. I thought you all should see it, so I've decided to broadcast it."

As I talk, I shoot the scene in the store with my camera.

[Maldea's toy store?]

[Oh, my God, it's so cool!]

[There's a lot of kids there.]

[Wow, e-Sports.]

[Good morning, Lina!]

[Is this live?]

I immediately received so many comments that I could no longer read them

The number of viewers soon exceeded 100,000.

The children in the store are waiting for the competition in a nervous atmosphere.

When the time was up, the MC of the day appeared.

"Hello, everyone! I'm Sania, from the Strategy Corner! Thanks for joining us today!"

Sania decided to wear same outfits from her video distribution and greeted the children with a smile.

"Oh, it's sister Sania!"

"The strategy corner guy!"

The children must have been watching the video intently, because they recognized Sania immediately.

"You're watching my strategy video? Thanks! Let's battle together and have fun today!"

Sania also happy to feel a bit like a celebrity, and raising her arms in a flurry of excitement.

Immediately, the four little players came out in the order of registration, and the tournament began in front of a large monitor.

"Now, it's time for the Mushroom Cup Championship – three, two, one, start!"

Sania counts and the race begins.

The children gripped the controller and drove the kart with enthusiasm.

"Carl is in second place, and it's Rati who got a good start dash! The game will change depending on the item!"

Sania's live commentary and the children's voices.

I am sure that the language itself is not understood by the earthlings. But the fun and joy of being absorbed in a game must be transmitted beyond the planets.

The live broadcast was watched by more than a million people.

An amateur filmed footage of a mere children's game competition at a toy store.

The people of Earth are watching it like crazy.

It's a moment when something new is sprouting.

I guess it's because we remember ourselves getting carried away with fun things like that.

I didn't need to say a word, I just kept on filming the event.

After a series of matches, the points are calculated and the winner is announced.

"Congratulations to Panos, the winner of the first Maruokarts competition, for his spectacular performance with Yossy! Congratulations!"

Sania handed the certificate to Panos.

Panos happily held the meaningless paper that we had just made.

Then he went to his mother.

"Mommy, here!"

"Good for you. You've been practicing and did your best."

The mother is patting the head of her son and praising him.

After filming that much, I turned the camera to myself and start speaking in English to the audience.

"How was it? The children of Maldea are beginning to enjoy the games that you, the people of Earth, have created. I would like to import more games in the future and make everyone in Mardea smile. Well, thank you for watching. I'll see you soon."

I turned off the camera and finished the live broadcast.

The comment section on yutube seems lively.

[Thank you! You guys look like having fun!]

[It reminded me of when I was a kid playing games with my brother. Thank you.]

[I felt your love and passion for the game. Thank you.]

[That was a very good broadcast.]

[Ah, the good old days of my childhood…]

[I don't know why. But it was a beautiful sight.]

[Hey, why am I crying?….]

The comments were more akin to nostalgia from the past.

Yes.

This was a common sight in the toy stores of my previous life in Japan.

Children gather and flock to the toys event.

It's small and not a big deal.

There is no prize money, though.

But somehow, there is a certain excitement and thrill.

I wanted to recreate such a scene in maldea.

The event is over and the children leave the toy store.

"Well, that was pretty tough."

Sania finished her role as host and sat down on a bench to take a breath.

"Good work, Sania, Manager. Thank you for going out of your way to help me today."

"No, it was nice to see the kids having so much fun."

Sania had a tired yet pleased smile plastered on her face.

"Yeah, it would have been a good memory for them. It's nice to be able to do something like this in my store, yeah. I'm very pleased."

The manager also seemed to feel some sense of accomplishment.

"Ms. Marderita. Do you mind if I ask you to do it again sometime?"

"Yes, I would love to."

Afterwards we helped clean up the store and then went home.

Now, a month has passed since I returned to Mardea.

Nikkendo sent me a report that the third shipment of Switz had been completed, so I decided to head back to Earth.

The localization of the retro game pack is almost finished, so I will be checking that as well.

So far, business has been going well.

The second shipment of six thousand units was selling like hotcakes, and the income from that shipment was flowing into our pocket again.

Galerina's company savings had already exceeded two million bells.

Of course, I used it to buy another large amount of magic stones and shrink boxes.

This time, six thousand and sixty of them to match the number of Switz.

I shrunk and packed the magic stones and other items into the transport plane, and headed for the warp room as usual.

"Galena-san. Please don't cross the border like the last time."

"Well, I've made the necessary adjustments this time. I've already input the map of the earth. I think you will land in the vicinity of New York."

I think .... That's a quite word of choice.

Since I'm in the middle of a game project this time, I'm planning to fly to Japan right after I go to the UN headquarters to hand over the magic stone.

Well, if all goes according to plan, that is.

"I see. Well then, please take care of it."

"Mmm. Good luck."

With the usual verbal exchange, I disappeared from Maldea, and the next thing I knew, I was on Earth.

The place was completely white.

What? Everything.
