JJK: I am the real villain

Chapter 9: Piled up negativity

Gojo reported back to Jujutsu High, the temple buzzing with cicadas and the morning sun draping over the infrastructure.

"A special grade of that caliber... A high school student from his physique too, yeah, there's no doubting it."

Gojo expressed this, with voices humming in agreement, the large room dark with only ten white doors visible.

"Gojo Satoru, are you saying you failed to eliminate that threat...?" one of the voices boomed, elderly in tone.

Gojo chuckled lightly. "Yes, and that's why I'm spreading awareness. Nothing wrong with that."

"A special grade rogue sorcerer is bad news already... What exactly is his cursed technique, if I may ask?"

"Nothing with flair—just surgical," Gojo acknowledged. "Manipulation of heat. And from our encounter, I can say firmly he has mastery over it. If it weren't for Shoko, I'd still be bleeding internally."

The elderly voices murmured in the background, discussing their next move.

"What else? First it was the vessel for Sukuna, now we have another special grade sorcerer running rampant in a vessel as well!"

"Yes, what's next—a vessel for Buddha himself?" another voice added.

"The vessel... how dangerous is he exactly?" a voice asked, cutting through the chatter.

"Yes, Gojo... how dangerous is he?"

"I can't give you a clear estimate yet..." Gojo said, rubbing his chin—a thoughtful gesture.

"Let's use Sukuna as an analogy. It was easy to subdue him physically for now... But this vessel didn't bother with physical contact and opted for cunning.

As of right now, he's above Sukuna in terms of physical prowess and destructive capabilities. So I'm thinking... a solid ten fingers of the King of Curses."

Gojo clarified. The elders all gasped, their minds numb from the numbers.

"That level of destruction and you left it running rampant?!"

"Don't you dare raise your voice at me, old head. He'd burn this entire place to the ground if he crossed paths with you," Gojo's voice dripped with venom and warning.

"Well then, I'll be taking my leave." Gojo turned and left the meeting.

The elders spoke behind the doors.

"That thing should be hunted immediately."

"Yes, but a special grade worth ten of Sukuna's fingers is far too dangerous for any of our current sorcerers to handle," another acknowledged, noting their lack of capable personnel.

"First of all, we'll be checking if this thing who has a vessel existed. We can check that in our records." An elder suggested.

"Yes, I find it strange that his technique didn't remind me of any sorcerers."

"Perhaps an ancient figure?"another voice of the elder wonders to himself.

"Ancient figure or not, it'll have to be put down, we can't be dealing another potential wildcard, we've managed to take Itadori Yuji out of the picture, we have to maintain this pace."

"Then we'll have to resort to other methods..." the final voice said, laced with venom and dishonesty.

Later

Yuji Itadori sat with a cursed corpse, sleeping calmly in a chair, a television still rolling frames of the movie he had been watching.

Gojo walked in. He noticed how Yuji had better control of his cursed energy—a small smile playing on his face.

Not wanting to disturb, he turned around to leave, pouting cheekily.

"Gojo-sensei! You're back!!"

Gojo turned back to face Yuji.

"Yeah, I see you've gotten better with control, huh?" he said, pointing at the cursed corpse in Yuji's grasp. "You're even sleeping with it."

"Yeah," Yuji rubbed his neck. "I guess so..." But then he brightened with a grin.

He's very fast at learning. He'll be on par with Nobara if he keeps this up, Gojo thought.

"Yuji Itadori, while that's good to hear—we've got bad news too!" Gojo announced playfully, throwing a salute. Yuji chuckled.

"Bad news? For you, there's not?" Yuji laughed.

"What? It's not for me—it's for you young sorcerers. You see, I came into contact with a special grade. Long story short—they multiplied. I was dealing with two. And guess what?" Gojo asked excitedly.

"You killed them?" Yuji asked, tilting his head, eyes wide.

"Oh, nah. They got away. But here's what's interesting—one of them was a vessel. Just like you!"

Yuji's eyes widened in surprise. "I don't get why you're excited, Gojo-sensei. Doesn't that just mean there's another maniac like Sukuna running around in someone's body?" He dismissed Gojo's excitement.

"Well... if you put it like that? I thought you'd be like, finally, I'm not the only one, catch my drift?"

"I won't lie though... I am curious."

"Yeah, they're checking records to see if the technique he used matches anything in our catalogues," Gojo tried to assure him.

"Can I get more popcorn? I poured the last batch on the ground when I fell asleep during Breaking Bad," Yuji pouted.

"That's so sad... Well, too bad! You'll be partnering with a good and dear friend of mine to further your knowledge in Jujutsu 101."

"What? Nooo!" Yuji yelled dramatically as he was dragged away by Satoru Gojo.

Elsewhere

Hatred. Sadness. A weak perception of one's self. Our jealousy and obsession with a perfect body or life—or, deeper still, how we want others to see us.

Other people's perception overriding our own.

Our soul morphing.

All dripping and forming a new curse...

A cursed spirit manifested into reality—its body pale, stitched, with black limbs covering its lower half.

Its hair flowed freely, draping its back. Eyes of heterochromia—yellow and green. A sly smile played on its lips. Pure agony and pain was all it wished to spread.

In the alleyways, it walked slowly, spotting an engineer fixing an air conditioner. It approached the man and placed a hand on his head.

"IDLE TRANSFIGURATION..."

The man's head quickly deformed, stretching and twisting his very soul. His brain couldn't even register the pain as his body warped. He tried to scream, but his throat morphed and burst.

When the cursed spirit was finished, it looked at its creation.

A gruesome mold of flesh and bone, blood seeping through its pores. A disfigured human—still aware. A different kind of pain.

"Hahaha..." it laughed, wondering if anyone would notice—but no one could see him. Not yet.

"I see... Hahahahaha!" It cackled like a maniac.

A new curse had been born.
