Chapter 4: 4: Soaking Wet

4: Soaking Wet
The mutated man snarled, crashing into a lamppost. He roared—a horrid, broken sound from a torn voice box. People scrambled away.
Johan stood, eyes calm but focused. His mind was already processing the situation.
Then, sirens. A black police car pulled up. Several officers jumped out and aimed rifles at the mutated man.
BANG! BANG! BANG!
The bullets struck flesh—but Johan noticed something strange. The police weren't aiming to subdue the man. They were aiming to kill.
A woman stepped out of the car. She was tall, confident, with blond hair and striking almond-shaped eyes and busty figure. Her presence was commanding.
Johan's heart skipped. Not because of fear—but something else.
She raised a single arm.
"SOAKING WET!" she commanded.
Behind her, a Stand began to materialize. Humanoid. Female. Its body shimmered with droplets of water, and it moved with elegance and wrath.
Suddenly, the sky darkened.
Clouds formed unnaturally fast. Thunder rumbled. Everyone—everyone except Johan—ran for shelter.
Then it came.
Thousands of raindrops—fired faster than bullets—slammed into the mutated creature.
Bang. Bang. Bang. Bang.
The sound echoed like a thousand drums.
After what seemed like forever, it stopped.
Dust and mist cleared.
There, in the center of the street, was the monster's body—perforated and torn. Dozens of holes punctured its chest and head. Blood pooled beneath it.
The Stand behind the officer faded.
People stepped out again, murmuring. Some cheered. Others trembled.
Johan sat back down slowly.
(Internal monologue)
"That Stand... the speed, the force... she's a trained combat user."
He looked at the woman. Her gaze swept across the crowd, pausing briefly on him.
Their eyes met.
A flicker of recognition.
Not of faces. But of purpose.
This epidemic... whatever it was... was far from over.
And Johan Joestar had just entered the eye of the storm.

The forensic team arrived swiftly, their boots splashing through puddles of blood and rainwater as they zipped the body in a heavy-duty black bag. Uniformed personnel began to gather near the scene, congratulating the woman who had neutralized the threat.
"You did it again, Erina!" one officer said with admiration.
"Well, she always does it," another added, chuckling as they clapped her on the back.
Erina, brushing wet strands of blonde hair from her face, responded modestly, "It was nothing."
Johan overheard everything. Thanks to Dead Star's enhanced physical abilities, his hearing was sharper than the average human's. He gave a faint smile, thinking to himself:
"Looks like she shares my mother's name…"
He grabbed his luggage and turned to walk away, letting the drizzle roll off his red shirt and black-gold jacket. But before he could take more than a few steps, a voice called out.
"Wait! Mister!"
Johan paused and looked back. Erina was walking toward him, hands casually placed behind her back. Her boots made sharp taps against the stone pavement as she approached with a half-smile.
"Are you new here, sir?" she asked.
"Yes," Johan replied calmly.
"Can I see your Identification Card?"
Without hesitation, Johan reached into his pocket, pulled out his ID, and handed it to her. Erina took a moment to read it.
"Johan Qstar," she said aloud.
Johan gave a single nod.
Erina's expression darkened slightly. "Mr. Johan, you are—"
Suddenly, her hand shot to her lower back, retrieving a black gun with a swift movement. She aimed it directly at him.
"—under arrest!"
The crowd nearby froze, startled by the sudden escalation. A few gasps were audible.
Johan remained calm. He placed his luggage gently on the ground and looked at her with narrowed eyes.
"On what basis, Miss…" His eyes dropped to her badge. "Erina Kujo?"
Erina's voice rang out clearly for all to hear: "You were too calm during the attack. Too composed. That only means one thing—you knew it was going to happen."
The crowd began to murmur. A few pointed. A mother pulled her child behind her.
"You're a member of the Black Serpent," she said, eyes blazing. "Ain't I right?"
Johan's eyes slowly drifted down. Rain fell across his forehead, mixing with the sweat. He clenched his fists, and spoke slowly:
"Do you know why I didn't react like everyone else?"
He raised his gaze. His eyes were wide and filled with something deeper than anger.
"Because I lost my parents. On my birthday. To something like this."
Erina's expression shifted. Her grip on the gun loosened. Her mouth opened slightly.
"Three months ago," Johan continued. "I barely survived a monster. My home burned. My father mutated. My mother was murdered by something unnatural. I lived through it. I didn't scream today because I've already been through hell."
A stunned silence fell over the crowd.
Erina lowered her weapon. "...I didn't know."

Stand Name: Soaking Wet
User: Erina Kujo
Type: Close-Range Automatic Stand (Elemental Control / Environmental Manipulation)
Main Ability:
Soaking Wet allows the user to control and weaponize rain. Once activated with the command phrase ("Soaking Wet!"), it rapidly manipulates atmospheric moisture, creating high-speed rainfall that can pierce through solid objects like bullets. The raindrops move faster than sound, making them unavoidable in open environments. Additionally, the Stand can change water pressure and direction mid-air, making it versatile in both offense and suppression.
Origin of Name:
"Soaking Wet" is named after the song Soakin' Wet by GRiZ & Ganja White Night, known for its heavy electronic drops, symbolizing the Stand's overwhelming water-based assaults.
---
Grading:
Destructive Power: B
(Capable of high-velocity water-based attacks that pierce through flesh and weak structures.)
Speed: A
(The water droplets travel at supersonic speeds once deployed.)
Range: C
(Effective within a 25–30 meter radius. Outside that, the storm weakens.)
Durability: B
(The Stand is not easy to damage due to its semi-liquid nature when attacked.)
Lethality: A
(Non-lethal if used in moderation, but deadly when intensified. Can reduce enemies to pulp.)
Potential: B
(Could evolve to manipulate full weather patterns or use water from sources beyond rain.)
Final Rating: B+
