Journey to become a Sword god

Kojiro and Onoki sat in the guest room drinking tea. After 5 minutes, an old man entered the guest room.

The old man's face is full of wrinkles; he has a bald head a sword scar cross his forehead, and a long gray beard.

Onoki stood up and started greeting the old man warmly, "Yamamoto-dono, it is good to see you. I hope I didn't bother you by coming unannounced."

Yamamoto shook his head and smiled softly to Onoki, then he said to Onoki, "Tsuchikage-sama is too polite. The Chiba clan owes Iwa a lot. If the second Tsuchikage didn't save us back then, I fear that the Chiba clan wouldn't have survived to this day."

Onoki nodded his head and sighed Kojiro was quiet, listening carefully to the conversation between Onoki and Yamamoto.

Onoki looked Yamamoto in the eyes and said to him, "Yamamoto-dono, I came to the Chiba clan today for two reasons. The first reason is to introduce my student to you; his name is Kojiro Sawada. And for my second reason, I want to ask the Chiba clan for a favor, not as your Tsuchikage but as a friend."

Yamamoto raised his eyebrows in surprise at first, but then he nodded his head to Onoki and said to him, "I am listening, Tsuchikage-sama."

Onoki smiled at Yamamoto, then he said to him, "Kojiro is talented in Kenjutsu; his current Kenjutsu skill rivals that of a Chunin. Your Chiba clan used to be a samurai clan; if he can train his Kenjutsu under the watchful eyes of the Chiba clan, he will improve by leaps and bounds."

Yamamoto looked at Kojiro in interest for a second, then turned to Onoki, and he said to him, "Well, Tsuchikage-sama, I don't think this is a problem, but we will not teach your student any of the Chiba clan Kenjutsu styles after all these Kenjutsu styles are the legacies of our ancestors."

Onoki nodded his head in understanding. He smiled at Yamamoto and said to him, "I understand, Yamamoto-dono, but how about we make a bet?"

When Yamamoto heard this, he raised his eyebrows in interest and asked Onoki, "That sounds interesting, Tsuchikage-sama. What do you have in mind?"

Onoki smiled to Yamamoto and said to him, "Our bet is simple: you will put Kojiro on a trial of your choosing; if little Kojiro passes your trial, he can choose any low-rank Kenjutsu style from your clan library, and if he fails the trial, I will offer any forbidden jutsu of your choosing from the forbidden scroll."

Yamamoto was shocked when he heard this, and Onoki continued, "However, in case you lose the bet between us, I will give your clan a copy of the earth-style manapulation exercises invented by Lord first since your clan made great contribution in the last war."

Yamamoto nodded his head in understanding he then smiled and said, "Tsuchikage-sama, I need to discuss this matter with elders first before I can give you an answer."

Onoki nodded his head and said. "I understand, Yamamoto-dono. You can give me your answer at any time. I will be waiting for you in the Tsuchikage office."

Yamamoto nodded his head, then Onoki and Kojiro stood up and left the Chiba clan mansion.

In the Tsuchikage office

After Onoki and Kojiro returned to the Tsuchikage office, the first Tsuchikage smiled and said to Onoki, "Good, you are back Onoki I finished your paperwork but don't be happy to soon; I am sure there is new paperwork that will arrive soon If you want to train little Kojiro, I recommend you create a clone and use the Tsuchikage training ground to train your student."

Onoki smiled and nodded his head to the first Tsuchikage, then the first Tsuchikage stood up from his seat and exited the Tsuchikage office.

Onoki executes a hand seal.

EARTH STYLE: ROCK CLONE

After Onoki created a rock clone, he said to Kojiro, "kid we are going to start your training now Follow my clone; you are going to train in the Tsuchikage personal training ground."

Kojiro smiled when he heard this, and he followed Onoki's clone.

In the Tsuchikage training ground

Onoki's clone stared at Kojiro in the training ground and said to him, "Kid, you said yesterday to me that you want to specialize in Kenjutsu."

Kojiro nodded his head to Onoki when he heard this, and Onoki continued, "Your Kenjutsu foundation is very solid; but there are few methods you could use to improve your Kenjutsu."

Kojiro listened intently to Onoki's clone and the clone continued it's explenation, "the first method you could use is fighting different enemies who specialize in different skills By fighting them, you will gain different experiences You will be clear of your shortcomings and you will start thinking of a ways to overcome your shortcomings."

Kojiro nodded his head in understanding and Onoki's clone continued, "the second method is to study different Kenjutsu styles By studying different Kenjutsu styles, you will learn different aspects of Kenjutsu and it will broaden your horizon."

oneAfter Onoki's cl saw Kojiro nodding his head in understanding, he continued, "The next method is training under a skilled Kenjutsu wielder and sparring against other Kenjutsu specialists."

Kojiro started to think about the three methods that Onoki mentioned, then Onoki continued, "The last method is to look for inspirations."

Kojiro was confused when he heard this,, and he asked Onoki, "What do you mean, sensei?"

Onoki looked seriously at Kojiro, then he started explaining, "Any development in life requires inspiration, whether it is shinobi arts or any other arts in our lives. It requires a lot of luck but also openness from your part. Your first step is to look around, involve yourself in different activities, keep your mind open, and think of how those activities can improve your Kenjutsu."

Kojiro was surprised at what he just heard, and then he said to himself, "This sounds like enlightenment in the cultivation novels I read in my past life."

Onoki's clone then interrupt Kojiro thoughts and said, "training your Kenjutsu with Chiba clan is great opportunity for you but whether you can get a Kenjutsu style from Chiba clan depends on your ability."

Kojiro looked at Onoki's clone and said to him, "sensei, you sound sure that the Chiba clan will agree in your bet."

Onoki's clone smirked when he heard this he then said to Kojiro, "I have no doubt that the Chiba clan will accept the bet terms for two reasons the first reason is because the Chiba clan is a proud clan especially when it come to Kenjutsu."

After Kojiro thought about what Onoki's clone just said he smiled and nodded his head then Onoki's clone continued, "the second reason is that the Chiba clan desire to acquire the forbidden Jutsu because they want to built a solid foundation to become shinobi clan in the future, don't forget kid the Chiba clan is originally a Samurai clan."

Kojiro widened his eyes in realization he then smiled widely Onoki's clone then said to Kojiro, "today I will teach the basics of dragon fist Taijutsu style this Taijutsu is the most balanced style that exist in Iwa this Taijutsu style suits you a lot because your body strength, reflexes, speed, and flexibility is equal to chunin despite you are only a 5 years old kid ."

Kojiro nodded his head in understanding and Onoki's clone continue his explanation, "the dragon fist Taijutsu style focuses on all aspects of Taijutsu such as, attacking power, defense, counter strikes, dodging and many more."

Kojiro smiled when he heard this and nodded his head Onoki's clone then Onoki's clone said to Kojiro, "stand next to me kid I will now show you the basic katas of the dragon fist Taijutsu style."

Kojiro stood next to Onoki's clone and he watched carefully as Onoki's clone started to demonstrate the basic katas of the dragon fist Taijutsu style.

Thanks for Kojiro's photographic memory he just needed to see the katas only once to memorize the Katas.

After memorizing the katas Kojiro started executing the katas perfectly in front of Onoki's clone.

Onoki's clone was shocked when he saw Kojiro executing katas perfectly a cold sweat fell down from Onoki's clone cheek then he gave wry smile, "this kid is a monster he just needed to see the katas once to learn them perfectly."

Onoki's clone quickly calm himself down and then he said to Kojiro, "kid I want you to preform these katas 1000 times these katas need to be like second nature to you."

Kojiro nodded his head obediently and started executing the katas one after another.

Chiba clan meeting chamber

Yamamoto stood in the middle of the meeting chamber and the ten elders of Chiba clan stood obediently in front of Yamamoto making two vertical lines.

Yamamoto told the elders about the bet between him and Onoki.

"That is very interesting old man I really want to meet the kid I am willing to train him." A middle aged man with a spikey black hair, an eye patch covering his right eye, lean muscular physique, and a katana tied in his waist.

Another middle aged man who looked like a noble scoffed when he heard what the spikey haired man said, "a barbarian will always be a barbarian."

The eyebrows of the black spikey haired middle aged man twitched when he heard this he unsheathed his sword, his chakra burst out like a wild beast.

"SWISH."

"DO YOU WANT TO DIE HERE BYAKUYA."

Byakuya snorted when he heard this he unsheathed his sword ready to attack but Yamamoto smacked his walking cane on the ground hard.

"BANG."

The meeting chamber suddenly shaked violently after Yamamoto smacked his walking cane on the ground.

He opened his eyes and said to byakuya and the spikey haired middle aged man, "Kenpachi, Byakuya stop fooling around this is an important matter I need to give my answer to Tsuchikage sama."

Kenpachi and Byakuya calmed down and nodded their head.

Suddenly a blond haired middle aged man flipped open the paper fan he is holding and said with a carefree smile to Yamamoto, "Yamamoto sama I don't see a problem in accepting the bet whether we lose the bet or win the bet we will gain something that will solidify our position in Iwa to become a shinobi clan in the future we might also raise in the future to become a noble clan in Iwa."

Many elders nodded in agreement but a tan skinned middle aged woman with curvy feminine body asked the blonde haired middle aged man, "but what if the kid passed the the trial we will not only lose the chance of obtaining a forbidden Jutsu but we will need to let him choose a Kenjutsu style from our clan library Kiske."

Kiske smirked he shrugged and answered the middle aged woman, "true, but according to the bet he will need to choose one of our low rank Kenjutsu styles it is not a big loss beside we have a lot of talented clansmen I think we should believe in them even if they some how lose it will be a good wake up call for those kids that there will be always someone better than them."

After Yamamoto and the rest of the elders heard what Kiske said they nodded their head in agreement and Yamamoto said to them, "alright I have decided the trial will be held tomorrow I want you to choose 30 Chunin and 20 genin from our clansmen they must be the most talented our clan had to offer as for me I will inform Tsuchikage sama that we agreed with his bet."

All the elders nodded and quickly left the meeting chamber.

Yamamoto smirked after the elders left he then thought to himself, "things are getting interesting."
