Jujutsu Kaisen: I Can Manipulate Time.

Chapter 31: Chapter 31: Suguru Geto.

"Most of those people died on the spot, and a few who made it to the hospital are probably permanently disabled. Even though you weren't directly responsible, Jujutsu High has accused you of deliberately causing their deaths. They're also suspecting you of murder—based on the survivors' testimonies."

Kamihara Hajime looked at Gojo Satoru, who appeared indifferent, and scratched his head, feigning innocence. "How could that be? I clearly saved them and handed them over to the police. I didn't expect them to turn on each other. I couldn't control that."

Gojo leaned back on the sofa, brushing past the subject. "Hajime, you know I've always had issues with Jujutsu High, right? Those old men are stubborn, and honestly, lacking a conscience. They're targeting you to get at me. Once they catch a whiff of weakness, they'll circle like flies around garbage."

Hajime went quiet for a moment before asking, "Sensei, aren't you going to ask me why I did it?"

Gojo's lips curled into a small smile behind his sunglasses. "I know what kind of person you are. I've watched you grow. Maybe you're not the kind to die for some noble ideal, but you've never been able to stand by when something ugly happens."

"I've already handled the fallout with Jujutsu High. Technically, you only dragged those people down the stairs and caused some injuries. But your Grade evaluation might be postponed for a bit."

He paused at the door. "Oh, and Hajime..."

Gojo stopped and looked over his shoulder. "What do you think defines strength and weakness? I mean between Jujutsu Sorcerers and regular people."

Hajime blinked, taken off guard, then thought for a moment. "In terms of raw power, Jujutsu Sorcerers are obviously the strong. But that's just like regular society—there are always gaps, status differences, and barriers. The divide between a civilian and a Jujutsu Sorcerer is just wider."

"In other ways, we're the same. Not all descendants of Sorcerers inherit Techniques. Sometimes, Sorcerers are born to normal families. You can't just use strength to define people. Otherwise, Sensei, what separates most Sorcerers from ordinary people in your eyes?"

He snapped his fingers. "There's a saying—'With great power comes great responsibility.' But I prefer 'With great authority comes great responsibility.' Jujutsu High holds authority, so they're in charge of protecting Japan from Cursed Spirits."

"Me? I'm just a regular Sorcerer on payroll. I complete missions. And then there's Special Grades like you, or Yuki Tsukumo-senpai, who often stays overseas. She never asked for that authority, so she doesn't carry its burdens."

Gojo didn't respond. He turned his gaze to the sky, his voice low. "Enough. Something's happened. We've got intruders at Jujutsu High."

Hajime's expression sharpened. He stepped outside and saw a shadow in the sky, bird-like, approaching rapidly. Gojo vanished, his voice trailing: "Head to the main gate."

Without hesitation, Hajime activated his Technique and rushed there. As he arrived, he heard a black-haired man in a kasaya speaking to Yuta Okkotsu. Maki, Panda, and Inumaki Toge were also nearby.

On the opposite side of the path stood a massive, four-winged pelican and several other individuals. The black-haired man's voice was clear.

"Kill all non-Sorcerers and create a world only for Jujutsu Sorcerers."

A madman, Hajime thought grimly.

Then Gojo appeared ahead of him, stepping between the man and the students. "Don't poison my students with your delusions, Suguru Geto."

So that's him... Special Grade Curse User, Suguru Geto.

Geto smiled at Gojo. "It's been a while. I hear this batch of students is promising. And you're leading them."

"Suguru Geto," Gojo said flatly, "stay away from them."

Behind him, Yaga Masamichi and other Sorcerers arrived. Geto barely acknowledged them and instead turned to Hajime.

"You must be Kamihara Hajime. I've heard about you. So, what do you say? Have you seen the ugliness of those monkeys? Join us. Help build a new world."

Hajime smiled. "Sorry, uncle, but I'm not into cults. Neither are my friends. Kindly take your madness elsewhere."

"Huh?! How dare you speak to Hajime-sama like that!" one of Geto's followers snapped.

Ignoring them, Hajime glanced at Gojo and asked, "Sensei, they're all Curse Users, right? Should we subdue or eliminate them?"

Geto's smile wavered slightly.

Gojo shook his head. "He's prepared. If you attack him or his team, he'll unleash all the Cursed Spirits he's got. Some of them could be real trouble."

Hajime stayed silent. He'd spoken because Geto was trying to manipulate their classmates. But it seemed this wasn't going to turn into a fight yet.

When Geto turned his hostility toward Maki—toward those he deemed beneath him—Yuta stepped forward, firm in his rejection.

Gojo quickly inserted himself between them. "What are you really here for, Suguru?"

Geto gazed at the gathered students and Sorcerers, then raised his voice.

"Listen well! I'm here to issue a challenge. On December 24th, the Hyakki Yagyō will begin at sunset."

He grinned. "The stage will be Shinjuku and Kyoto. We'll release thousands of Cursed Spirits across both cities. Their orders? Kill everything!"

His expression twisted. "If you want to stop hell from breaking loose, then fight. Let's all curse each other to death."

Suddenly, one of the girls behind him interrupted, "Lord Suguru Geto, the shop's closing!"

Geto straightened, his tone returning to casual. "Sorry, Gojo. They're craving crepes. We'll take our leave."

He gestured at the students. "Don't do anything reckless. Your students are still within my attack range. I've grown too, Gojo."

With that, several terrifying Cursed Spirits appeared, some radiating Special Grade auras.

"Goodbye, everyone."

Geto climbed onto the pelican's talons and flew off. The Cursed Spirits followed, vanishing with him.

"You all okay?" Hajime asked, walking over to Yuta and the others. Yuta nodded with a smile.

Hajime patted his shoulder. "Ignore that guy. He's completely lost it."

In Hajime's mind, Geto's dream was madness. Killing all non-Sorcerers to create some twisted paradise? That would never work.

Most Sorcerers had family among the ordinary. What if a Sorcerer had a child without powers? Would they kill their own child?

And beyond that—Sorcerers were too few in number. Wipe out humanity, and you'd face extinction before Curses ever posed a threat.

It wasn't a simple equation. Human nature wasn't that predictable.

Later.

"Suguru Geto. Special Grade Curse User. His Technique allows him to absorb naturally occurring Cursed Spirits without master-servant contracts—Cursed Spirit Manipulation. He uses a religious organization to gather them," Ieiri Shoko reported, face serious.

Yaga added, "Even if his claim of over two thousand Spirits is true, most are Grade 2 or lower. His Curse Users likely don't number more than fifty."

"That's enough to cause chaos," Gojo murmured, "but not enough to level two cities. Which means... he has something else."

"Damn it..." Yaga growled.

He stood up. "Notify our graduates. Reach out to the Big Three Families and request backup from the Ainu Jujutsu Alliance. This is all-out war. This time—we exorcise Suguru Geto for good."

---

Elsewhere.

Suguru Geto stood before a group of Curse Users, smiling.

"Ready? Your job is to hold off Gojo Satoru. He still believes the lies I told back in school. Once I kill Yuta Okkotsu and take that Special Grade Cursed Spirit, the battle shifts in our favor."

He glanced at a table, where a sword—Totsuka-no-Tsurugi—rested, seemingly out of place.

Miguel, dressed in white, spoke up. "You found a way to revive that thing. Why not just absorb it? Isn't it a legendary Curse in your country?"

Geto shook his head, his gaze fixed. "This one is different. Curses with intense self-awareness are volatile. Too many variables. Too much risk."

He handed over the weapons. "You'll bring them to the battlefield. It should make your job easier. These two blades were originally one."

Miguel raised a brow. "So you're using her blood to revive it? That whole 'enemy descendant' requirement—it's almost poetic."

Geto spread his arms. "Everyone, onward—to the New World."
