Jujutsu Kaisen: I was killed by Sukuna

Chapter 5: Chaoter 5: Gojo is a Demon, Isn’t He?

After that, I was relentlessly chased around by Gojo Satoru.

When I turned around and tried to make a run for it, Gojo Satoru chased after me without hesitation. He didn't even look confused—he just chased me with that crazy smile plastered on his face.

Well, if it was just chasing, that would've been fine. If it was just running away, that would've been fine too… but he started using his Cursed Technique.

Who would've thought? In a place full of people where causing trouble would obviously lead to serious consequences, who would've thought he'd just casually fire off Blue without a care in the world? …No one, right? But he did it anyway. Because he's Gojo Satoru, that's why. Damn it!!

As a result, I spent the entire time running away from Gojo until the old man and the head of the Gojo Clan arrived… That guy kept firing Blue everywhere, so finding a place to hide was exhausting.

By the way, even when the old man and the head of the Gojo Clan showed up, Gojo didn't stop. Instead, he looked like he was about to tell them to shut up and even tried to fire his Cursed Technique at them. I had to use Domain Amplification to restrain him from behind and convince him to reset things, suggesting we continue later in a place where no one would interrupt us.

But then, like a child—well, he is a child—he started throwing a tantrum, saying, "No, no, it has to be now!" and tried to max out his Cursed Technique. It was a mess… Seriously, what was he thinking?

I had no choice, so while still restraining him… I decided to use a Dragon Suplex to knock him out. But instead, he just smiled even wider, so I ended up choking him out instead.

After that, I handed the unconscious Gojo Satoru over to the current head of the Gojo Clan, bowed my head in apology, and quickly left with the old man.

On the way back, the old man praised me with a big smile, which made me feel kind of happy… Wait, he's praising me? He's not mad?

That question popped into my head, but the exhaustion from playing tag with Gojo must've been too much, because I closed my eyes and fell asleep without voicing it.

As I drifted off, I thought I heard the howl of a wolf in the distance.

---

"Yo."

"Yo…? What the hell are you doing here, you demon?"

When I woke up, there was a demon in front of me.

I was in my room at the Zenin Clan's estate—well, it's my room, but I was sleeping peacefully on the futon. The old man must've put me there, which I'm grateful for. I'll give him that bundle of black rope-like Cursed Tool I recently acquired later.

But that's not the point.

The problem is that, after waking up feeling refreshed and full of energy, there was… that damn guy who caused me to pass out in the first place, sitting right in front of me. Seriously, what are you doing here?

---

"I came to see you."

"Go home."

I answered immediately, my voice colder than I expected. It was a harsh response, but what else could I do? The guy in front of me is Gojo Satoru, the lunatic who casually fires Blue without a care. If I don't send him home, my house might get blown up.

At my response, Gojo pouted and complained.

"What's with that? You're the one who said we should reset things."

He said it like it was my responsibility, puffing out his lips in protest.

Well… yeah, I did say that. I did say we should reset things. But you were the one throwing a tantrum and not listening to me. You even tried to fire your Cursed Technique at your own parents.

Wait… what? Why are you acting all high and mighty after doing something like that? Oh, right, because you're Gojo Satoru. Got it.

---

"…Well, whatever. By the way, it seems like you're alone… Did you come by yourself?"

I glanced around Gojo, but there was no one else.

Gojo is the next head of the Gojo Clan. He's also a prodigy with the Six Eyes and the Limitless Technique, so he's a target.

I'm pretty sure, around this time, there was a bounty on his head. I don't know how much, but it was definitely a high amount.

So, even if he was alone during his time at Jujutsu High, someone should've been accompanying him now… Huh? That's weird. I don't sense anyone outside the room either.

Noticing my confusion, Gojo scratched his head lazily and spoke up.

"I came with my dad. I couldn't come alone, after all."

As he said that, he flopped down on the floor. Watching him, I sighed deeply, already sensing why the head of the Gojo Clan had come. Probably.

He's probably here to complain about me punching Gojo or choking him out, or to demand compensation for the damage to their estate… The Gojo and Zenin Clans don't get along, after all.

---

"What a pain…"

I muttered as I collapsed back onto the futon. Gojo was right in front of me, but that didn't matter anymore. Everything about the modern-day Three Great Families is a hassle. It's not my fault… I grumbled to no one in particular.

…Casually, I glanced at Gojo. He was sprawled out lazily in someone else's house, acting like he owned the place. What a freeloader.

---

The Six Eyes user who appeared in the Gojo Clan after hundreds of years—a cheat in the Jujutsu world who can clearly perceive Cursed Techniques and Cursed Energy like a thermal camera, the foundation of Gojo Satoru's strength… Those blue eyes, like the sky my old friend used to have.

Looking at him, I kept remembering the past… I've been reminiscing a lot lately. It's scary how much I've been thinking about the past.

When did we first meet? Was it when we were kids? Or when we were a bit older? I don't remember clearly, but I'm sure he wasn't the type to fire Blue at me right off the bat.

Wait, now that I think about it, do all Six Eyes users have that bored look on their faces by default? Even though their personalities are completely different, Gojo's face keeps overlapping with my old friend's.

I know they're different. I know they don't look the same. But that lonely expression on his face keeps reminding me of my friend.

---

"Hey, Kai~ Let's reset things~"

Finally lying down in someone else's room, Gojo turned his gaze to me and called out in a sweet, almost pleading voice.

He called my name so casually, as if he hadn't just tried to kill me the other day, and looked at me with the attitude of a child begging their parents to play. It gave me a headache.

What drives him to act like this? Knowing what he becomes in the future, I'm at a loss for words.

The worst part is, when he acts like this, it's hard for me to push him away. Is he doing this on purpose? Does he know?

I endured the headache and kept dodging Gojo's demands. Honestly, I really don't want to fight him in that state again.

What's even scarier is that if he happens to master the Reverse Cursed Technique during our little reset, there's a 90% chance I'll be the one he tests it on.

No way. I've been hit by Red and Purple before, and I've even taken direct hits, but I really don't want to experience Gojo's Red and Purple. Even when it was my friend, it was terrifying. If I took a hit from this guy, I doubt there'd be anything left of me.

---

"Hey, hey, let's do it~ Let's continue~"

"I said no…!"

Realizing that being sweet wasn't working—or maybe just on a whim—Gojo suddenly sat up and started pestering me again. This guy is really… so annoying.

"I said no! You're going to use Red, Blue, and even Purple, aren't you? If I get hit by that, I'm dead!"

I snapped, my tone sharper than I intended, and roughly pushed Gojo away.

Gojo, now separated from me, looked at me with a blank expression… Oh no, did I go too far? But Gojo Satoru wouldn't get upset over something like this… Oh, but he's still a kid, so maybe he's actually hurt—

"Hey, what's… Purple?"

My ears caught Gojo's voice as I was spiraling into confusion. His tone was filled with genuine curiosity.

---

"Huh?"

"I mean, what's Purple? I've never heard of that."

I was thrown back into confusion… Huh? He doesn't know about Purple? Why?

Well, I know he can't use it yet. At this point, he hasn't even mastered the Reverse Cursed Technique, so he can't use Red, let alone Purple… But not knowing about its existence? Why?

Gojo is the next head of the Gojo Clan. He has the Six Eyes and the Limitless Technique, so he should've been told about it by now. In fact, my friend knew about Purple by the time he was seven… Oh, right, back then, Cursed Spirits were so strong that they rushed to teach him everything as quickly as possible… And Purple was like the ultimate secret technique of the Gojo Clan… Oh no, this might be bad.

I glanced at Gojo… Oh no. His eyes were shining brightly, like a lion cub who just found an interesting toy.

"…Purple? What are you talking about? I never said anything like that. How would a nobody like me from the Zenin Clan know about some ultimate secret technique like that? That's impossible."

My excuse was painfully weak, even to myself. Gojo listened with those sparkling eyes and then—

"…I see."

He smiled—a smile so bright it could've had a "ding" sound effect.

"I'll go ask my dad about Purple!!"

"Wait, you idiot!! Do you have no heart!?!"

After about ten minutes of intense tag, I finally managed to catch Gojo—or rather, Satoru (he threatened me to call him that). The finishing move was a flying kick that triggered a Black Flash.

I was completely exhausted, so I spent the rest of the day watching anime with the old man… His comforting words were oddly gentle.

---

The Old Man's Perspective

The head of the Gojo Clan came to complain, and on top of that, he taunted me, saying, "Don't get too full of yourself just because you got lucky and choked out Satoru." My veins were popping.

A few minutes later, I heard the commotion from their game of tag (the Gojo Clan head looked smug) and went to check it out. I found Gojo Satoru embedded in a wall, and the protagonist was breathing heavily.

The old man had a look of pure joy on his face, while the Gojo Clan head was in shock.

By the way, when this was relayed over the phone to "Toji," he burst out laughing.
