Jujutsu Kaisen: Nah I'd Adapt (Completed)

Chapter 28: Reverse Cursed Technique

I've seen adapting to burnout, but it gets into a weird grey area. If the technique is burnt out, how will it adapt in the first place?

I'm still figuring out how that will work to make it consistent with the story.

Anywho, Sukuna will be meeting Gojo at the airport when Kusakabe uses his simple domain on him.

(I want to finish the Toji plotline to end the allegations.)

One of the primary adaptations I worked on was gaining as much resistance to cold as possible. Heck, I can even breathe underwater in serious cases. I doubt Uraume would've sat by when they learned that I can eat Sukuna's fingers.

I mean, they are special grade when it comes to Sukuna's meat.

So, the question is brought up.

Why the hell haven't they shown themselves?

Kenjaku and Uraume assume that I know nothing about Uraume, so the most logical thing would be sending Uraume to me.

Does Uraume think they would lose?

No, even if they had a chance at losing, given their infatuation with Sukuna, which is almost Yandere-like, they would go after me.

When reading the story, I liked the villains, but they are frustrating to deal with when put inside of the series. They are unpredictable.

I still have a year before the star-plasma event, so I feel more at ease about Toji, but Kenjaku is the main issue.

If I think about it and don't act like a dense protagonist, Toji might be sent after me due to the butterfly effect. He takes jobs killing teenagers, so it wouldn't be out of character to go after Gojo or me early, but that throws the whole star-plasma event into wack.

All of these are the reason why I'm going to see Shoko. If things go to shit, she'll need reverse cursed technique as soon as possible.

While I can use reverse cursed technique, I am not yet proficient enough to heal others effectively.

I'm not sure when Shoko will figure it out, but based on the basic conversations we've had, she almost has it. Hopefully, I'll be a better teacher than she ever was.

I make my way to her dorm and knock on her door.

*Knock*

*Knock*

*Knock*

As the door opens, she has a neutral look on her face with a lollypop in her mouth.

They don't allow smoking in the dorms, so she's got a substitute.

She speaks up. "Naohiro, what are you doing here?"

I replied with a smile, "Hey, Shoko. I'll get to the point. I wanted to stop by to talk to you about reverse cursed technique and, more specifically, help you out with it."

She kept a neutral look on her face. "Since when did you help people learn techniques?"

My eye twitches. "Do you really have that low of an opinion of me?"

She instantly replies. "Yes."

I pinch the bridge of my nose. "Look, I know the reverse cursed technique, but I'm not good enough at healing others. If you could figure it out, it would be helpful for the rest of us, and you could become a great healer."

She narrowed her eyes a little. "You have no alternative motives?"

I'm a little baffled. "Is it really that hard to believe that I want to help you out?"

She tilts her head to the side. "I figured that you would only help out Gojo because of how...close...you guys seem."

My mouth drops. "HUH!? What the hell are you implying?"

She shows a rare smile and exhales air. "Nothing, but sure, I could use some help from someone who knows it. Come on in."

I walk into her room and see a plain, ordinary dorm room.

She raises her eyebrow. "Expecting something else?"

I nonchalantly reply. "Not really."

Then, I sit down in the middle of the room cross-legged before she joins me.

She starts. "So, I've made it go phew and flick before making it go woosh. However, it's not staying together."

I give her a deadpan stare. "I understand...that I understand nothing that you just told me."

She smiles as she puts her hands on her sides. "I thought Mr. RCT expert would know what I'm talking about, but I guess I was wrong."

Ugh. "*Sigh* okay, I'll explain it in my own way to see if it's easier to understand. To create reverse cursed technique, you separate two parts of cursed energy based on how much reverse cursed technique you want to use."

Shoko ponders for a moment. "Hmm."

I continue. "After that, you spin them together to slowly fuse together, making positive energy. However, if you become more proficient with it, you can spin the cursed energy faster so it is able to fuse faster. That is the reason why it takes twice the amount of energy than normal cursed energy."

Shoko asks a question. "Why isn't it sticking together?"

I reply. "Like I said before, you can make it fuse faster, but it becomes more unstable. You have to start slow so it can slowly bring itself together, which multiplies the two negatives, making a positive energy."

Her eyes start to widen. "I've been making it spin like crazy then."

I give her a smile. "You have a natural talent for it, so the only thing you are missing is working on the speed you multiply it together."

She gives a smile before closing her eyes to try using reverse cursed technique. "Holy crap, I can already feel it moving together."

Just then, her hands started emitting a white aura before dissipating.

I can't help but have a stupid grin on my face. "You figured it out way faster than I did, and that is saying something. I originally thought I had to slam it together like a particle accelerator since I thought I had to force it to stick, but it's a slow process."

She opens her eyes before cringing. "Ew, stop it with that face. It's punchable."

My face turns back to normal before I let out a small laugh. "I'm just glad I'm better at explaining it than you ever will be."

She has a tick mark on her head. "Huh!? What the hell is that supposed to mean."

My eyes widen. "You just sounded like me."

She rolls her eyes before speaking. "Thanks a lot. I don't want to be rude, but can you leave? I need to work on this, and I can't do that with a dork watching me."

I get up. "No problem. I still need to help Gojo with it."

She scoffs with a smile. "Of course you do."

I send her a side glance before walking out of her dorm.

That is one down, one to go.

Gojo needs to learn reversed cursed technique. If things go south, he might really die before he can fully awaken.

I stretch my arms before smiling. "I'd make a pretty good teacher, huh?"
