Kakashi Masters All Elements, Rewrites the Ninja World for Rin!

Chapter 47: Chapter 47: Cut the Power!

"The Dragon Vein must be protected..."

In a quiet corner away from the raucous celebration, Sara curled up, hugging her knees and softly humming a melancholy tune.

"That song's got a haunting vibe. You could charge admission," Kakashi said, casually sitting down a short distance away.

"It's the song my mother used to sing for me."

Hearing his compliment seemed to lift Sara's mood slightly.

"It was Anrokuzan who suggested my mother harness the Dragon Vein's power for the good of our people. With the energy it provided and Anrokuzan's technology, Rōran quickly rose into a city of towers."

"But... she died before realizing her dream."

"After that, Anrokuzan stayed by my side. There was no one else... no one else."

As she spoke, her voice lowered. Her shoulders trembled.

"I get it," Kakashi said, his voice unusually soft. "I lost my parents early too. When the people you trust most vanish, everything familiar turns cold and alien. It's like the whole world forgets you're still here."

He glanced sideways at her.

"But the ones who raise us don't just disappear—they leave pieces of themselves behind. My father? He taught me to be kind, responsible... and not to run from trouble—even if it's nine feet tall and breathes fire."

Kakashi gave her a sideways grin that faded into something gentler.

"I'm guessing your mom left you something, too?"

Sara nodded slowly. "She left me Rōran... and this song."

"Then you already know what you need to do."

"Yeah..." she murmured, her eyes beginning to harden with purpose. "I do."

She stood up suddenly, determination burning in her gaze.

"First, we have to figure out what's really going on in this city. I can sense the flow of the Dragon Vein. If we track where those energy pipes are going—"

She pointed to the glowing channels snaking across the skyline.

"—then we can find the source."

"Now we're talking," Kakashi said with a smirk. "Let's crash this villainous plumbing party."

The two followed the glowing pipelines to their convergence point: a massive cylindrical structure, like a reservoir, humming with energy.

"That exhaust vent over there connects to the Dragon Vein's central node," Sara explained, pointing at a gridded opening on the ground.

Beep—

Kakashi placed a gloved hand on the iron grate. Instantly, the screws spun loose and popped off.

Sara blinked in surprise as the grate floated up and neatly clanged to the ground beside them.

"Just a little magnetic charm I picked up in the desert," Kakashi said, casually brushing off his hands. "Ladies first."

He climbed down the shaft, manipulating the grate to float behind him like a loyal metal surfboard.

Thanks to his Magnet Release, every metal obstacle became a joke. Even tricky drops were easily handled—Sara was gently floated down like royalty on a flying iron platform.

Eventually, they arrived at a sealed chamber, cloaked in steam.

Below them, a swarm of ragged townspeople trudged under chains, pushing enormous rollers under the cold gaze of combat puppets.

As the labor powered machines crackling with violet energy, new weaponized puppets rolled off the assembly line.

"This is…" Sara gasped, then slapped a hand over her mouth, afraid to draw attention.

Fortunately, the factory noise drowned her out.

"Yeah," Kakashi said, expression darkening, "this is the place I mentioned—Rōran's cheerful underground weapons plant."

He tilted his head at the bizarre contraption. "I've seen ninja tech, but this is next-level steampunk nightmare fuel."

"I can't believe Anrokuzan would enslave our people... just to make weapons!"

Sara scanned the structure, her eyes darting between pipes and panels.

"There!" she suddenly pointed. "If I can reach that seal node, I can shut down the Dragon Vein energy flowing into the factory!"

"You got it, your majesty," Kakashi said, summoning the iron platform with a gesture. Sara jumped aboard like she'd done it a hundred times.

He launched her toward the seal node with precision. Meanwhile, Kakashi prepared to teleport in if anything went sideways.

"Stay back for this part."

Sara walked alone into the heart of the seal, kneeling with reverence and extending her hands in a ceremonial gesture.

"I command you in the name of the Queen—cease the flow of the Dragon Vein. Restrain your power!"

A ball of violet light swelled from the seal's center as her palms hovered above it.

Purple ripples pulsed outward as the entire formation lit up.

Kakashi squinted. That light wasn't just a glow—it was an eye. A massive, chakra-forged eye, watching them.

As it slowly closed, the entire sealing formation contracted and vanished.

Chi~

The enormous machines fell still. The chamber plunged into silence.

Sara exhaled. "It's done. The Dragon Vein's power is no longer flowing into the factory."

But before they could breathe easy—Zzzzzt!

Suddenly, arcs of purple energy descended from above, connecting with the newly-minted puppets.

Their eyes lit up in unison—ominous violet.

Clack—clack—clack—

Footsteps echoed across metal walkways. Then came a cold, oily voice:

"Your Majesty… what are you doing in a place like this?"

From a platform above, Anrokuzan emerged—his expression dark, his shadow longer than it should be.

Sara stiffened, eyes wide with shock.

Kakashi, meanwhile, cracked his neck and glanced at the glowing puppets below.

"Well, this escalated fast," he muttered. "Could've used more ominous laughter to really sell the evil overlord vibe."

He slid a kunai from his pouch.

"And here I was hoping for a peaceful factory tour."
