Kakashi Masters All Elements, Rewrites the Ninja World for Rin!

Chapter 54: Chapter 54: Mission Complete, Time to Go!

"Ah!"

Sara screamed as she fell through the air.

Bang!

Then she felt like she'd landed on an iron plate.

"Oww… that hurt."

Sara rubbed her backside, eyes welling up with tears.

But when she realized where she had landed, her panic faded.

It was the iron airship that had brought her here before!

Kakashi, standing at the hatch, gave a casual salute as she landed.

"Nice landing. 8.5 out of 10. Points off for style."

The ship, suspended midair, smoothly flew away from the collapsing chamber.

"Thank you!"

Sara jumped ashore and bowed softly to Kakashi.

"Just another Tuesday," he replied nonchalantly, eyes already focused on the erupting dragon chakra.

If this violent energy wasn't sealed soon, all of Rōran would be wiped out.

Sure, he could use Flying Thunder God and peace out.

But the citizens of Rōran? Not so lucky.

Thinking fast, Kakashi turned to his former teacher.

"Minato-sensei, hop on. Uber's still running."

The iron ship darted toward Minato's position.

"Wood Style!"

A familiar voice called out.

A wide wooden bridge extended across the pit, connecting the altar to solid ground.

"Ha! Captain Yamato!"

Naruto waved with relief.

Ever since they'd arrived here, they'd been separated. Seeing him safe brought a smile to Naruto's face.

Kakashi raised an eyebrow as he stepped onto the bridge.

"Now that's some Grade-A forestry."

The bridge was sturdy as bedrock. Yamato, as always, was the MVP of civil engineering.

Kakashi couldn't help but admire it, striding across with a mental note to commission a hot tub made of Wood Style someday.

He followed Minato across the bridge, leaping toward the altar at its center.

"I'm sealing the dragon vein. Stay back unless you want to glow green forever," Minato said plainly.

He pulled out a Flying Thunder God kunai and stepped up to the altar.

Before him was a closed, dome-like structure.

"Seal!"

Minato formed a hand sign with his left hand, raised the kunai with his right—and drove it into the gap at the dome's center.

A brilliant green light burst forth.

The altar's intricate seals lit up instantly, casting glowing geometric patterns across the stone.

At the same time, the chaotic energy surging from the pit began to retreat—like a tide pulled back to sea.

It slowly receded.

And then—it stopped.

The chakra had been sealed.

The catastrophe threatening Rōran was over.

"Eh? What's with this light?" Naruto asked, staring at the green glow now emanating from his body.

"The time-space jutsu has corrected itself. Looks like you're heading back to your own timeline."

Minato smiled, calm but clearly holding back emotion.

"Kakashi, your mission was a success too. Nicely done."

Earlier, dozens of puppet soldiers had been on standby for attack.

Thanks to Kakashi's shadow clone and Yamato using several scrolls' worth of explosive tags, the base had been blown sky-high—neutralizing the threat.

Minato was visibly relieved.

"Eh, I do what I can," Kakashi said, scratching his head… and then promptly pointed at Yamato.

"But really, props to the guy I picked up on the roadside. He builds bridges, saves cities… Probably brews a mean cup of tea too."

"Well, I'm just a little stupid," Yamato replied, deadpan.

Bam!

Yamato punched Kakashi squarely on the head.

He'd had enough.

Bullied in the present timeline and the past? Unacceptable!

Kakashi blinked, rubbing his head.

"Huh. Guess I do deserve that. Future me must've been a handful."

But he didn't get mad.

Of course not.

After all… he wasn't the type to hold grudges.

Just maybe the type to quietly order ramen and put it on someone else's tab.

Tsk, tsk… I'm too generous.

Yamato noticed Kakashi's thoughtful look and suddenly felt a cold chill.

An ominous feeling crept over him.

He shook his head violently.

Nope. Just nerves.

Kakashi-senpai definitely wouldn't hold a grudge… right?

Probably not…

Maybe…

Yamato didn't dwell on it long. He stepped forward and bowed to Minato.

"It's an honor to meet you, sir."

"I'm sorry… but it's time to say goodbye."

Minato gave a kind nod in return.

"Dad! See you in the future!"

Naruto stepped in and hugged him tightly.

"I'm glad I got to see what kind of man you become."

Minato hugged him back—until Naruto vanished in a stream of light.

"...So, you're leaving too?"

Sara asked Kakashi quietly.

"Yeah. Mission complete. Time to clock out."

This trip to Rōran had been productive.

He'd tapped into the dragon vein to recharge the Byakugō Mark, and managed to copy Naruto's Wind Style: Rasenshuriken. Not bad at all.

"But it all went by so fast… we only just met."

Sara's voice trembled slightly.

After her mother's death, she had been alone for so long.

And just as she found a reliable ally, he was leaving again…

"You've done what you needed to, Sara. You're already an excellent queen."

"Even without us, I believe in you."

Kakashi's words were sincere beneath the usual dryness. He'd come to respect Sara.

"Will you come back someday?"

Her eyes held hope.

"I will."

"And next time, I'll bring someone along."

"Her name's Rin. She's… someone special. I think you two would hit it off."

At Rin's name, Kakashi's expression softened.

"Rin? Is she your girlfriend?"

Sara had clearly noticed the shift in his tone.

"Ahaha—well, not yet."

"But maybe soon. If I stop being an idiot."

He scratched his head sheepishly.

"Alright, then I have to meet the girl who stole your heart!"

Sara's voice turned playful… but her eyes betrayed a flash of sadness.

Still, she quickly composed herself.

"To protect the timeline, it's best if we forget all of this," Minato said suddenly.

"I've prepared a sealing jutsu to erase our memories. Are you ready?"

Kakashi nodded right away.

Sara opened her mouth to say something—but nothing came out.

"Then—seal!"

Minato knelt down and slammed his palm into the ground.

A dark sealing pattern spread out in all directions, engulfing everyone in a wave of light.

And just like that—

Their memories vanished. The dragon vein was sealed.Rōran was safe. And the mission… was over.
