Kakashi Masters All Elements, Rewrites the Ninja World for Rin!

Chapter 82: Chapter 82: Dead Bone Pulse & Ice Mirror Trap

The dark, rainy night passed slowly beneath a sky ravaged by thunder and lightning.

Mountains and forests beyond the cave were lashed by nature's fury—branches shattered, soil churned into muck, the night howling with storm.

But with dawn's arrival, the chaos began to settle.

A soft golden sun rose slowly on the eastern horizon, spilling light onto the drenched forest. The canopy glistened in the aftermath, the warm morning rays breathing life back into the battered terrain.

Kakashi stepped out of the cave, taking in a long breath of the clean, rain-washed air. His expression was relaxed, but the weight of urgency remained in his eyes.

"Rin, Shisui, let's move."

Behind him, the other two emerged, both quiet and alert. Kakashi had already marked the cave with a Flying Thunder God seal, just in case.

A shame, really. If not for the Mist-nin crawling all over this territory like termites, he might've stayed in this cave for a few peaceful days. Maybe share tea. Maybe... not have Shisui third-wheeling.

Well, a man can dream.

The trio leapt into the forest, flitting across branches at high speed. Other than quick breaks for ration pills, they spoke little.

"Hide!" Kakashi suddenly whispered, raising a hand.

Instantly, Shisui and Rin scattered, vanishing into the foliage.

Overhead, several swift birds flew past—black-feathered, razor-eyed. Scouting swifts.

Typical Kirigakure tracking tools—small, fast, weather-resistant, and annoyingly observant. Their red eyes scanned the jungle from above.

Fortunately, the forest canopy was thick and breathing, camouflaging movement with its wind-tossed rhythm. After a few tense loops, the swifts turned and soared away.

"All clear."

Five minutes passed before Kakashi emerged, signaling the others. They regrouped and continued forward.

But Kakashi's mind was elsewhere.

He'd started tracking the birds' intervals. The first patrol showed up once an hour. Now it was every twenty minutes.

"They're tightening the net," he muttered. "Fantastic."

More swifts. More frequent sweeps. Wider coverage. Kirigakure's hunt was escalating.

And that could only mean one thing.

Leadership.

Someone competent had taken over.

Yagura should be unconscious after taking a full blast from the Daytime Tiger. Yet the Mist forces moved with unified precision.

Only one man could pull Kirigakure's fractured clans together so quickly—Elder Genji.

The wily old schemer behind half of Mist's power plays. The one who eventually helped Terumi Mei become Mizukage.

If Genji was calling the shots, things were going to get messy.

"Shisui," Kakashi called. "You've been on the front. Which clans are involved?"

"The front line? I think... yeah, it's the Kaguya clan leading the charge. They're madmen."

Kakashi clicked his tongue.

Great. Just great.

The Kaguya clan. The bone-wielding, death-craving psychos who thought war was a form of interpretive dance.

As if summoned by bad luck itself—

Whistle—Whistle—Whistle!

The sound of high-speed projectiles cutting through air rang out ahead.

"Earth Style – Earth Wall!"

Kakashi moved in a blur, slamming his hands into the mud and raising four thick stone walls around them.

Thunk! Thunk! Thunk!

Dozens of dense projectiles pierced the walls. Bits of white bone embedded in the stone like throwing knives.

"Okay. I don't say this often, but... what the hell?"

Kakashi watched as the bony fingers clattered to the ground.

Using your own phalanges as ammunition? That was peak Kaguya clan. Nothing says "I have issues" like turning yourself into a walking skeleton gun.

The walls fell, and what lay ahead made Kakashi exhale sharply.

Over two hundred Kaguya clan members stood before them, chalk-white skin, sickly hair, crazed eyes.

One man—taller, older, and foaming with bloodlust—stepped forward.

"Master Genji's orders: Kill everyone except the girl!"

"For the glory of the Kaguya!"

"RAHHHH!"

The rest echoed with blood-curdling roars. From their bodies, long blades of white bone erupted from their arms and palms.

"Yup. Definitely the Kaguya," Kakashi muttered. "I'd recognize that charming dental work anywhere."

"Rin, Shisui," he warned calmly, "these guys are born berserkers. Don't try to scare them off. It won't work."

"Their entire skeletal system is weaponized. That means bone spears, bone shields, bone darts—you name it."

"These freaks make orthodontists cry."

Rin and Shisui nodded, eyes focused.

Among all Mist's bloodline clans, the Kaguya were the last ones Kakashi wanted to face in open terrain.

They didn't negotiate. They didn't retreat. They didn't even blink if their leg was broken—they'd just swing it at you as a weapon.

Still, something gnawed at him.

Why this many?

Before he could dwell on it—

"Ice Style Secret Technique: Demonic Mirroring Ice Crystals!"

The temperature plummeted.

All around them, mist thickened into ice. Dozens of tall, smooth mirrors shot out from the ground, forming a wide dome that enclosed both sides—Kakashi's group and the Kaguya attackers.

Reflections of masked figures flickered across the ice. Kakashi recognized the bloodline: Ice Release.

So they were boxed in.

"Damn. Another one of Mist's classics," Kakashi muttered.

On the far side, a second leader emerged. Dressed in pale robes, hair swept back, his tone was cold and precise.

"Apologies, Chief Kaguya. But Master Genji's orders are clear. The man who harmed Mizukage must die. That comes before your bloodlust."

"Tch. You ice worms ruin everything!"

The Kaguya leader growled, furious at the interruption.

The Ice Release ninja—a member of the Yuki clan, no doubt—merely crossed his arms and said nothing more. He wasn't going to help. Not yet.

He just wanted to make sure no one left alive.

From his perspective, let the Kaguya clan waste themselves throwing bones and screams. Once Kakashi and his team were weakened—then he would act.

Kakashi narrowed his eye.

So now it was two bloodline clans. Trapped. Surrounded. Outnumbered.

"And here I thought I'd have to work hard today."

Lightning began to flicker in his hand.
