It was a sunny morning in Los Angeles, and Gabriel was already stationed at the entrance to Kendall Jenner's condominium. The sisters were often seen with Kendall, and Gabriel had met them both at other events.

"You're really good at this," Gigi commented as she walked alongside him.

"Experience," Gabriel replied.

Inside the store, the atmosphere was calm, a welcome respite from the chaos outside. Gabriel stood near the entrance, watching the people around him intently as the three friends tried on clothes and commented on the latest trends.

"Do you think he used to be a model?" Bella whispered to Kendall.

"Definitely," Kendall replied with a soft laugh. "But he'd never admit it."

After a few hours, the group headed to a famous restaurant on Sunset Boulevard. The place was frequented by celebrities, which meant there would be plenty of people and cameras.

Gabriel went in first, making sure the reserved table was in a more private area. He signaled to the three that the place was secure, and they sat down as the waiters hurried to serve the group.

"Are you going to eat something, Gabriel?" Kendall asked, watching him standing near the table.

"I'm fine, thanks," he replied.

"He never relaxes," Bella commented teasingly.

"Part of the job," Gabriel replied with a slight smile.

"I appreciate it, but I'll pass," Gabriel said, trying to contain his laughter.

The three of them laughed as they disappeared into the house. Gabriel stayed outside, making sure everything was in order before calling it a day. "So, Gabriel," Kim began, with a mischievous smile. "Care to explain why we've been seeing you in old ad campaigns?"

Kendall held up her phone, showing one of the photos. Gabriel was wearing a sports jacket, his hair slicked back, staring directly into the camera with an intensity that could melt hearts.

"That was years ago," Gabriel said, trying to play it down. "A friend needed someone for a campaign, and I accepted it as a favor."

"A favor that resulted in magazine cover photos," Kylie joked. "You really hide things well, don't you?"

Bella and Gigi Hadid also appeared on FaceTime, laughing at the situation.

"Gabriel, why didn't you ever tell us this?" Bella asked. "You have more experience in the fashion industry than most people around here!"

"Because it's not relevant," he replied, crossing his arms, trying to maintain his composure.

Gabriel smiled, trying to be polite. "I appreciate the interest, but my focus right now is on your safety. This is my job, and I love what I do."

Kylie leaned forward. "But you know if you decide to come back, it's going to be huge, right? Everyone's talking about you. They want you on runways, in magazines, in commercials."

Gabriel took a sip of his coffee and shrugged. "Maybe in the future. Right now, it really doesn't make sense."

That afternoon, while he was working out security details with his team, Gabriel's phone rang. He saw the name of his old friend and photographer, Marcos, flashing on the screen.

"Gabriel!" Marcos said enthusiastically on the other end of the line. "You're hot, my friend. Everyone wants you."

"I know," Gabriel replied, sounding exhausted. "But I'm not interested, Marcos. My life has changed since then."

"And that's exactly what makes you so interesting," Marcos insisted. "Brands want your authenticity. An ex-military man, a security agent, with that look and all that history? You're their dream."

Gabriel sighed. "Look, Marcos, I appreciate the support. Maybe in the future I'll consider it, but now is not the time."

"Okay," Marcos replied, resigned. "But I'll tell you one thing: if you ever change your mind, let me know. I want to be the first to photograph you again."

The brands' insistence and the public's curiosity kept growing. During an outing with Kendall to a fashion event, a group of reporters managed to approach Gabriel as he walked her to her car.

"Gabriel, are you going to accept any modeling contracts?" one of the reporters shouted.

Gabriel paused for a moment, looking calmly at the reporter. "I have no plans right now. My focus is on my current job."

"So is there a chance in the future?" the reporter persisted.

Gabriel gave a small smile, but kept his tone professional. "Who knows. I never say never, but right now I have other priorities."

Kendall, next to him, chuckled softly as he got into the car. "You're very good at dodging questions, Gabriel."

Later that evening, Gabriel sat on his porch, watching the lights of the city of Los Angeles. He knew the attention he was receiving was a result of an unlikely moment in his life, but he also knew he didn't want to lose focus on what really mattered.

Dealing with the pressure of re-entering the fashion world was a challenge, but he was confident in his decisions. His modeling past was only a small part of his story, and he knew that, as glamorous as it might seem, his true passion lay in protecting and serving.

In time, perhaps he would consider revisiting this chapter of his life. But for now, Gabriel remained steadfast in his purpose, oblivious to the buzz that continued to build around him. He was more than the photos in an old campaign, and that was all that mattered.
