Keeping the Promise After Rebirth

The car left Josen Garden and headed down the mountain before heading towards the city center. Xinya plastered a fake and innocent smile on her face and started making small talk, mainly to fish for information and find out if Weiwei had already asked for a divorce.

"Weiwei, did you talk to Mo Shian about your divorce?"

"No, I changed my mind. I am not going to divorce him." Weiwei replied.

"What?" Xinya was shocked by this information. She had already been planning about how to start celebrating the separation of those two but this moron was telling her that she had changed her mind?

No! She had to convince her, otherwise, all the efforts she had put in before would go to waste.

"But you said that you would talk to him yesterday. What happened to change your mind?"

"I realized that I love him and will not be happy if I am not with him. So, I will just try to make the marriage work."

"But you know that he doesn't love you and is only using you. How can you tolerate something as humiliating as that? That will only make the Xia family the laughing stock of all of City Y."

"You are overreacting, Xinya, Mo Shian has the ability to improve the assets of Mo Corporation by a hundred percent without anyone's help. Do you really think he needs to be married to me to be the CEO?" Weiwei challenged.

She couldn't understand how she had fallen for such a far-fetched lie in her previous life. Was she just stupid or plain naïve? Mo Shian could stand at the top of the business world without the help of anyone else, but she had believed that he needed her to remain the CEO. How incredibly stupid.

"But his grandpa said that he had to marry you to remain the CEO, that is why he agreed to the arranged marriage. It is also why he treats you well because he is afraid you will complain to Grandpa Cheng." Xinya continued to try and brainwash Weiwei with more lies.

"Then I'll be happy to do it. As long as he treats me well," said Weiwei. She couldn't be bothered anymore. No matter what she says, Xinya will try to make her leave Mo Shian, but after her rebirth, she will do everything possible to stay married to him and be happy. So, why should she listen to this jealous woman?

After hearing what Weiwei said, Xinya started to have a bad feeling. Was it just because of her period or did something else happen? Why does it seem like the little bitch Weiwei has become smarter? They had not seen each other for only three days. Does someone change so much in such a short time?

She had to find out what happened so that she can convince the little fool to divorce Mo Shian. Otherwise, she will never have a chance to be with him. But for now, she had to get the bag she wanted and carry out todays plan to make sure Mo Shian grows even more suspicious of Weiwei. It would be better if he kicked her out already.

The car became quiet as everyone looked out of the window lost in thought. Weiwei was thinking about how to counter the photos Xinya was going to send to Mo Shian later. If she does not handle it properly, it may create more trouble in the future. So, she had to be careful and make sure she dispelled all the doubts Xinya tried to create.

The car pulled up in the underground parking lot of the biggest mall in City Y. Both Weiwei and Xinya got out and headed into the mall.

"Let's go check out the Hermes store. I heard that they have new arrivals. I know that all your clothes are custom-made, but maybe you will find something you like," suggested Xinya as she led the way into the store.

She knew all the luxury stores in the mall, and since she always comes with Weiwei as her ATM machine to shop, she never even bothers to check the other stores that sell mid-luxury goods. She always heads straight into the international luxury brands such as Hermes, Chanel, and other renowned brands.

As soon as they walked into the Hermes store, an assistant approached them and greeted Xinya, who was covered in luxury goods including a limited edition necklace filled with diamonds and carrying a limited edition bag.

But she ignored Weiwei, who was following behind Xinya since her outfit looked ordinary. Very few people could tell that her clothes were custom-made by the most successful designer in the world, Eric Regnode. Her shoes and purse were also custom-made and low-key.

Her purse was decorated with a hundred small rubies and shined especially bright under the fluorescent lights in the store. But since rubies were so rare, no one would believe that so many rubies were used to decorate a purse and someone would carry such an expensive item so casually to go shopping.

Since human beings tend to curry favor with the strong and step on the weak, and they also judge a book by its cover, everyone in the store ignored Weiwei and treated her like air.

However, Weiwei didn't mind such treatment at all. In fact, she was happy to be left alone to check out if she could find a suitable gift for her best friend, Lou. Since they had not reached that stage yet and were studying at the same university, she had to find a gift that would show her sincerity and how much she appreciated her friend. In this life, she would treat the people who truly cared about her well.
