KEYOKTHAI: THE WAR FOR THE EARTH

Chapter 43: EPISODE 43: “The Weight of Unspoken Words”

The Sky Stills, the Grief Lingers

A quiet stillness hangs heavy in the green fields.

Sang and Abdhar stand in silence, their pain mirrored in the dimming sky. The wind softens. The grief in Abdhar's voice feels like it stretches beyond time.

After a long pause, Abdhar slowly breathes out, grounding himself.

Sang turns and gestures toward the house.

Sang:

"Rakhad... you and Zoick can go now, please. And take that weird tornado of chaos with you."

Zoick is mid-air, spinning a stick around his fingers like a martial artist in a cartoon to lighten the atmosphere.

Rakhad laughs softly.

Rakhad:

"You sure you'll be okay?"

Sang (nodding faintly):

"I will. Go."

They leave. But the silence only deepens.

Doubt Behind the Demon Eyes

Threxius Zykor, in the far reaches of his palace, walks the obsidian hallways of his empire. His long cloak drags behind him like a shadow of dread.

Threxius (in thought):

"They're hiding something… my own demons. That spy… he spoke of war. But what judgment did he follow? What vision?"

Just as his thoughts deepen, the grand doors swing open. Light pierces the hallway as armored guards line up.

A heavy, echoing announcement:

Knight:

"Presenting… Ex-Demon King 5, Dazmor Zykor."

The air tenses. The meeting of legacies is about to begin.

Beneath the Sunset – A Brother's Pain

The sun dips below the city horizon.

Sang and Bhuvaen walk through empty streets, shadows stretching long beside them.

Sang stops.

Sang:

"You said… it was murder. What do you mean? Who did it?"

Bhuvaen freezes. A tremor in his breath.

Bhuvaen (voice breaking):

"Before we went to the graveyard… we found a letter in his room."

The scene fades into a flashback —

Abdhar kneeling in his younger brother's room, clutching a crumpled note.

The boy's voice echoes in narration:

"I'm sorry, brother.

You did everything for me. But after we lost our parents, you changed.

You stopped seeing me.

I wanted you — the real you. But all I saw was a stranger.

You never asked what I wanted.

You told me to follow your dreams.

But they weren't mine.

I couldn't live like that anymore.

I'm sorry…"

Back to present —

Sang's eyes widen. His voice trembles.

Sang:

"He was only a kid… Why didn't he just… talk to him?"

Bhuvaen:

"Sang, he was only nine. Nine, Sang. They don't make choices… they only react. And sometimes, even love feels like a burden."

Sang lowers his head, fists clenched.

Bhuvaen (tears in his voice):

"And not just him…"We're all cheating ourselves, sang. We give up our souls so others smile. Death doesn't always hurt others — but losing who you are , always will."

Sang's breath shakes. His heart pounds.

Bhuvaen (turning slowly):

"That's why he died.

Remember this, Sang...

We're not meant to live just for someone else's joy.

But if you do, make sure your dreams walk beside them."

Sang stands there—haunted, thoughtful, shaken.
