King Of War: Starting with Arms Dealer

Chapter 993: The Negotiation Table of the Big Shots_2

This was the main goal of Joe Ga's trip to Brazil. The direction was generally correct, but there were numerous issues with the details.

The person sent by the U.S. Department of Commerce was a sharp-tongued old woman who started by saying that based on America's power and influence, they intended to take the lion's share of Mukalla's benefits.

Then Joe Ga witnessed how these bigwigs argue. All those gentlemanly manners and politeness? That's just fairy tales...

Since there were no cameras, they started by greeting your dear mother, followed by a barrage of protests filled with curses.

It wasn't just one or two people; everyone had that same rogue demeanor...

The most important thing they came to discuss here wasn't the Yemen issue, but whoever gained the upper hand on the Yemen issue could achieve a greater advantage in subsequent negotiations.

Joe Ga, the "Chef," became the target for everyone to win over. You can imagine how immense the pressure was.

Then, pushed to his limit, he decided to drag a bunch of people to the beach, a public place, for negotiations.

Actually, everyone had already anticipated the Yemen issue...

Initially, each party just offered lip service, letting Joe Ga do the hard and dirty work.

Later on, each party would chip in money to develop the mines. The mines belong to Yemen, and you're all sharing the pure profits. What the hell is there to hesitate about?

Unfortunately, the stuff around Mukalla was only enough to tantalize France and England a little. The other parties wanted to take this opportunity to negotiate some other big deals.

This kind of negotiation is the most damn exhausting. Until the contract is signed, everything they say is just hot air.

Joe Ga was stuck in the middle, frequently pulled aside by someone who'd ask, "Do you think they're being unreasonable?"...

Who can stand that?

Joe Ga has always had a quick temper...

You all could have finalized the Yemen issue earlier, but instead, you keep making it an issue to use me as a bargaining chip. How is that acceptable?

We're negotiating on the beach, under the sun and sea breeze. Whoever gives in first is a sissy.

Joe Ga may not have much else, but he sure is "sincere"!

If it weren't for the presence of a woman among the representatives, he'd drag everyone to the bathhouse for discussions.

Everyone would meet openly, and whoever had the bigger stake would speak louder!

But the bathhouse was off-limits, and the beach turned out to be effective enough!

Not only did all those bosses have to come down, but their assistants also had to join, even each side's special agents had to change into swimsuits to entertain the curious ladies around.

The sun in Brazil is certainly powerful. After holding out for a week, they finally capitulated under the threat of skin cancer...

Joe Ga, tanned two shades darker, just like a small errand boy, carried a thick memorandum and got the ambassadors from each party to sign their names...

When the meeting was adjourned, except for the Russian ambassador who seemed to linger a bit, everyone else basically jogged back to their apartments.

Joe Ga watched that sharp-tongued old woman being helped back to her apartment by her assistant, and he pulled Steven aside, saying: "Is that old woman out of her mind? What exactly does she want?"

Steven wanted to leave quickly too. He tugged Joe Ga a few steps away and, avoiding the others, whispered: "Big Mouth Don has gone mad; recently he's been shooting off everywhere, demanding money.

The Department of Commerce hasn't been getting along well with Europe and China lately..."

Joe Ga, surprised, said: "What's Big Mouth Don up to? His tax reform plan isn't even finished, so why is he offending so many people?"

Steven whispered: "Big Mouth Don wants Congress to approve $5.9 billion for the wall. Congress didn't agree, so he froze $1.9 billion of the Pentagon's military budget.

This guy has signed numerous wall construction contracts with various organizations and companies, and if Congress doesn't pass his $5.9 billion budget in six months, he'll divert the $1.9 billion military budget from the Pentagon.

Members of Congress are considering a work stoppage protest!"

Joe Ga looked at Steven as if he were looking at a ghost and said: "Big Mouth Don is something else; if he can force Congress to shut down, he would be the first in America.

But what does that have to do with that old woman?"

Steven glanced at the distant Chinese representative and whispered: "Big Mouth Don needs support, so he's instructed the Department of Commerce to use trade war threats to pressure China into signing a large natural gas purchase agreement.

The shale oil bubble burst, and the Energy Group spent a lot of money acquiring domestic shale oil industries. Now they need to recoup their costs!

With a large purchase agreement, they can secure significant financing from banks."

Joe Ga, having never expected that the situation he orchestrated would lead to his own people being extorted here, said unhappily: "What the hell is this?

China's energy companies picked up your mess in Iraq, and this is how you repay them?"

Steven looked at Joe Ga and said: "Hu Lang, that argument's a bit unfair. When it comes to Iraq, we all know who really benefits the most.

Big Mouth Don now wants to fulfill his promise to build the wall, requiring immense funding and sufficient support.

My friend, Eric has carved out a significant portion of the wall business, and the money will eventually flow to P·B."

Seeing that Joe Ga was still a bit displeased, Steven said helplessly: "Hu Lang, the Chinese haven't even brought this up with you, which means they're not at a loss.

America's natural gas prices are relatively high, but the contracted price right now is still low. If natural gas prices fluctuate in the coming years, this order will be a cash cow."
