When Qin Yi first acquired the King Skill, his subconscious had hinted at the fact that plundering came with a certain probability of success. However, since his previous attempts had almost always succeeded, he had come to believe that the failure rate of the Plunder Skill was minimal.

Now, the failure took him by surprise.

The man who had tried to assassinate him was no weakling. From his actions, the ninjutsu he unleashed, and the chakra he expended, it was clear he was a Jōnin.

A Sand Shinobi from the Land of Wind— Qin Yi should have been able to extract many of the abilities he needed from this man's mind.

Yet, he had failed!

With a flash of determination in his eyes, Qin Yi shifted his focus to the man controlling the puppets below.

Initially, he didn't know the man's identity, but the unique puppet technique from the Land of Wind quickly revealed that he was a Sand Shinobi sent to eliminate him.

"The Three Generals have improved rapidly. Three against one, and they're evenly matched."

The battle on the ground had reached a stalemate.

The silent man had unleashed three puppets made of unknown materials, skillfully directing them against the Three Generals.

Qin Yi chose not to join the fray just yet. He recognized this as the perfect opportunity to help his team grow.

Only through real combat could one truly develop.

Even in Konoha, a village renowned for its peace and safety, Genin had to face trials and hardships to mature.

During the fight, the Three Generals occasionally made breakthroughs. The puppets had been slashed several times, their limbs appearing unsteady.

Kurogane's expression darkened as he looked up, tension mounting within him.

"Has Captain Ishi failed? That kid is actually this strong?!"

Shock flickered in Kurogane's eyes. He hadn't anticipated the target to be so formidable.

Though it was just one Chunin and three Genin, the Chunin was a Bloodline Limit Shinobi capable of using various unheard-of ninjutsu, even defeating a Jōnin like Captain Ishi.

The three Genin before him displayed astonishing blade skills, and their physical abilities and reflexes rivaled those of a Jōnin. If their chakra continued to improve, he might not stand a chance against them.

"Retreat!"

"Everyone is dead. This mission has failed."

Kurogane made the decision silently.

His eyes darting, Kurogane commanded his puppets to engage the Three Generals a few more times. After a fierce exchange forced the Three Generals back, he narrowed his eyes and quickly formed hand seals.

"Doton: Gyōgugakure no Jutsu (Earth Release: Underground Projection Fish Technique)!"

As soon as the ninjutsu was unleashed, Kurogane and his puppets sank into the ground beneath him, vanishing from the sight of the Three Generals in an instant.

"Don't run!"

The Three Generals shouted, lunging forward, but it was already too late.

"He actually escaped underground! The ninjutsu from the Otherworld is truly remarkable!"

Qin Lin's expression was grave as he scanned the area, but he couldn't find any trace of the enemy.

The other two Generals were equally astonished by the effectiveness of the ninjutsu and fell silent.

Underground, Kurogane stowed the three puppets back into the iron box on his back and quietly observed the vigilant Three Generals.

"These enemies really don't let their guard down at all!"

After watching for a while, he realized that even if he attempted to ambush them again, there would be no opportunity. He extinguished the last flicker of hope in his heart.

"It's time to leave."

Kurogane thought to himself, his face betraying no emotion.

He had come with four people, but now he was returning alone. It was a dismal situation, but he was accustomed to it.

This technique was originally intended for observing enemy movements and seizing opportunities for ambushes. Since there was no chance now, he swiftly moved through the ground.

The soil before him parted like liquid as he passed through it. Moving underground, Kurogane showed no signs of discomfort.

In just two or three minutes, he had traveled about five or six hundred meters. Reaching the limit of the technique, he quietly peeked out.

After scanning the surroundings and confirming that there were no enemies, Kurogane leaped out of the ground.

"It's safe. I need to leave quickly!"

He let out a slight sigh of relief and prepared to depart.

But at that moment—

"Whoosh!"

A gentle breeze suddenly brushed against his back, and a shadowy figure loomed over him.

Kurogane's entire body stiffened, and he dared not make any sudden movements.

The atmosphere grew eerily quiet. He remained still, and the figure behind him did not move either.

After a tense stalemate lasting about ten breaths, Qin Yi finally spoke softly.

"In this squad, the strongest was the Jōnin, but the most cautious and mysterious one is you."

Kurogane remained silent, his body as rigid as stone.

"It's fascinating. I actually couldn't find any flaws in you."

Qin Yi continued, his hand trembling slightly as a pale blue Rasengan rapidly spun and grew in size, stirring the air around them.

"Your Body Flicker Technique is quite ingenious. I've never seen anything like it. It's incredibly fast!"

Kurogane finally spoke, genuinely praising Qin Yi's Body Flicker Technique.

"Is that so?"

Qin Yi smiled faintly, his right hand slowly rising.

The man before him exuded a strange calmness—steady and composed. Even in the face of a life-threatening situation, he remained as tranquil as if he were fishing by a lake.

"If I'm not mistaken, all these techniques I've never seen before were developed by you, right?" Kurogane inquired.

"Oh? What makes you say that?" Qin Yi asked, curiosity piqued, the Rasengan now aimed at Kurogane's waist, ready to strike.

"These techniques are completely unfamiliar, and most importantly, they suit you perfectly," Kurogane replied coolly.

"Correct. I developed them myself!" Qin Yi affirmed.

In the next moment, his tone shifted to something more serious.

"This conversation should end now!"

The Rasengan was forcefully pushed forward, aimed to crush Kurogane's waist.

However, Qin Yi's expression changed slightly as his wrist was blocked.

Upon closer inspection, he realized the other party had somehow turned around.

No, not turned around— it was a puppet!

"Clatter!"

With a series of sounds, Kurogane had already distanced himself from Qin Yi, and the two faced each other.

"Impressive!"

Qin Yi offered a light praise, but the intensity in his eyes sharpened. The Rasengan in his hand dissipated.

"Not attacking me immediately was your mistake," Kurogane replied coolly.

His eyes were calm, but a hint of confidence emerged.

However, just as this confidence flickered in his gaze, Qin Yi suddenly vanished.

"So fast!!"

Kurogane's pupils contracted in shock.

At the same time, a faint breeze brushed past his back, accompanied by a rustling sound.

It was Qin Yi.

Though his Body Flicker Technique was still in its early stages of development, it had already shown formidable combat potential.

In an instant, he completed another positional shift, arriving behind Kurogane. This time, he did not hesitate.

"Rasengan!"

A loud shout echoed, followed by a deafening explosion that sent dust flying into the air.
