Chapter 96: 096 Black Iron Town
Golden rays of light rained down from the sky.
A Sand Shinobi looked up in shock.
"What kind of meteor is this?"
Mitokado Suga froze, his face pale as fear consumed him entirely.
"It's him!"
"It's that guy!"
"Hanyu Simu! Hanyu Simu is here!"
As a Jōnin, Mito Suga didn't even consider resisting. He immediately turned and bolted toward the mine.
The Sand Shinobi beside him looked confused, but before he could react, the entire city wall was engulfed in a devastating rain of light.
This was no attack a human could withstand.
A deafening explosion shook Black Iron Town.
The golden rain of light completely obliterated the city wall, stretching hundreds of meters. The destruction was absolute, leaving countless guards on the walls dead.
MitokadoSuga screamed at the top of his lungs as chaos erupted.
Simu's attack naturally drew the attention of the guards in the mining town.
Rossi burst out of his office, followed by hundreds of Sand Shinobi.
"Enemy attack! Enemy attack!" Rossi shouted urgently.
Meanwhile, Mito Suga ran frantically, screaming for help, disregarding everything around him.
Simu, calm and composed, stepped lightly through the air, creating faint golden ripples with each step. In mere seconds, he caught up to Mitokado Suga.
"Can you run faster than the speed of light?"
Simu suddenly appeared in front of Mitokado suga.
Gritting his teeth and suppressing his fear, Suga made his move.
"Water Style: Water Whale Technique!"
A massive surge of water formed into the shape of a colossal whale, rushing towards Simu with destructive force.
"Oh, an A-level jutsu. How scary," Simu remarked mockingly, his face feigning fear.
With a light step in mid-air, Simu activated Armament Haki. The dark energy enveloped his body as he stomped down hard on the water whale.
The sheer force of his attack halted the water whale in its tracks, the massive creature trembling under the pressure.
Moments later, the water whale collapsed entirely, its form breaking apart before exploding into harmless sprays of water
Amid the shattered streams of water, Simu calmly raised a finger toward Mito Suga.
A scorching laser shot through the air, piercing Suga's shoulder in an instant.
The intense heat burned his shoulder black, filling the air with the smell of scorched flesh.
Before Suga could react, Simu appeared directly in front of him.
"Traitors are the most disgusting," Simu said softly, his voice cold and sharp.
His fist began to glow with a blinding light, moving with unmatched speed.
With a devastating punch, Simu struck Suga.
A deafening bang echoed through the air as Suga's body was blasted away, turning into a blur of light as he crashed straight into the mine.
He smashed into the ground near Sand Shinobi Rossi, leaving a massive crater.
The impact sent turbulent winds whipping through the area, blowing Rossi's hair as he stood frozen, his eyes filled with a grave sense of dread.
"As expected of the man who defeated Elder Ebizō..." Rossi muttered to himself, a trace of unease flickering across his face.
He knew he couldn't surpass Ebizō in strength, so the thought of facing Simu one-on-one never crossed his mind.
Rossi's voice boomed as he gave the order, "Everyone, attack together!"
There were five hundred troops stationed here, and Simu had crossed most of the desert to reach them.
"We outnumber him, and he's already spent energy getting here," Rossi thought.
"No matter how much of a genius Simu is, his Chakra must have a limit. Once he's exhausted, that's when I'll strike."
Hundreds of ninjas stepped forward at the same time, their eyes fixed on Simu.
While there weren't many Jōnin among them, their numbers and coordination made them a force to be reckoned with.
Their coordination was far superior to that of regular ninjas.
In unison, the dense group performed hand seals, their chests swelling as they prepared their attack.
"Wind Style: Gale Break!"
Hundreds of powerful air currents combined, forming a massive, high-speed tornado that roared toward Simu.
"Hundreds of people attacking me at once... how scary," Simu muttered, though his tone was more amused than worried.
With his hands still casually in his pockets, a dark red pattern emerged on his face as he entered Sage Mode.
He focused natural energy into his legs, preparing to counter.
In an instant, he kicked out with a brilliant flash, meeting the enormous tornado head-on.
"Wow, that's really something," Simu said with mock concern, though the sheer power of his kick didn't waver for a second.
As Simu's power surged, the light emanating from his feet grew even brighter.
The massive tornado disintegrated, breaking apart into countless chaotic air currents.
Seeing such a devastating attack fail against Simu, Rossi's expression stiffened.
"Charge!" he shouted.
Hundreds of ninjas roared in unison, gripping their kunai tightly as they charged toward Simu.
Simu's eyes narrowed as a calm smirk crossed his face.
A glowing longsword formed in his hand, radiating intense light, and he rushed to meet the wave of attackers head-on.
Countless kunai came flying at him from all directions.
But with his Observation Haki in full force, Simu could predict every move with perfect clarity.
No attack escaped his notice, and not a single kunai grazed his clothes.
Simu's figure weaved effortlessly through the chaos, dodging every strike with fluid precision.
Each swing of his lightsaber carved through the air, taking the lives of three or four ninjas with every graceful motion.
"342."
"298."
"206."
Simu counts accurately with Observation Haki.
The number of enemies is rapidly decreasing.
Just as Simu prepared to unleash an area-wide attack to finish them off, the remaining ninjas suddenly stopped their assault.
"It's... a monster!" one ninja shouted in terror.
The first to flee dropped his weapon and ran.
Then, like a chain reaction, more and more ninjas abandon their weapons and run, fear gripping their hearts.
It was like watching dominoes fall—once the first one broke rank, the rest followed in a cascade.
No matter how much Rossi yelled and ordered them to stand their ground, the ninjas refused to turn back.
To face Simu meant certain death.
But if they fled, there was at least a faint hope of survival.
Simu adjusted his glasses with a calm expression.
"It's not like I can come and go as I please," he said casually.
He poured an immense amount of natural energy into the glowing sword in his hand.
"Sage Art: Light Water Pattern."
With a fluid motion, Simu swung the blade horizontally through the air.
Faint golden ripples spread out from the center, expanding outward like gentle waves.
The light was nearly imperceptible, but it traveled quickly, catching up to the fleeing ninjas.
At first, they felt nothing—no sound, no sensation.
Then, suddenly, a slash appeared across their backs, and their world turned upside down.
In complete silence, they were severed cleanly in half, their bodies collapsing to the ground.
The battlefield, once filled with chaos and shouting, became eerily quiet.
Rossi stared at the fallen bodies of hundreds of ninjas, his expression dark and desperate
Rossi couldn't comprehend how Simu did it.
Over two hundred ninjas had fallen in an instant!
It felt like lead weighed down his legs, and even though he wanted to run, he couldn't move.
"Damn it!" Rossi roared, using all his strength.
His fingers shot out chakra threads, and from the ground beneath Simu, a massive centipede-like puppet emerged.
Hundreds of sharp claws slashed toward Simu like steel blades.
"A centipede?" Simu mused, unfazed.
With one hand still in his pocket, he flickered and vanished in an instant, narrowly avoiding the attack.
Hundreds of steel claws struck, but none could touch Simu.
He held his sword with one hand and, with a casual swing, landed a blow at the center of the puppet.
In an instant, the powerful puppet, once a battlefield terror, was sliced in half and rendered immobile.
"Stop struggling. It will only cause you pain," Simu said calmly, as he vanished in a flash, reappearing behind Rossi after a few quick maneuvers in the air.
Rossi's face twisted with fury.
"I won't give up!"
Countless kunai shot from his back, aiming straight for Simu.
For a moment, Rossi smiled, thinking he had the upper hand.
But that smile quickly vanished.
Rossi's smile faded as he watched his kunai pierce through Simu's body and fly harmlessly into the air. Simu remained unfazed, his hands still in his pockets.
A chill ran down Rossi's spine as he realized the futility of his attack.
Simu calmly patted his chest. "That was close. Luckily, I ate the Light-Light Fruit."
"No ordinary attack can touch me."
Rossi's face twisted with desperation as Simu landed firmly on the ground, his foot driving into the earth with a decisive thud.
Simu casually clapped his hands. "You're done."
He grabbed a large bunch of keys from Rossi and made his way to the top of the mine. Thousands of miners below stared up at him. Simu's Observation Haki spread over the area.
"The chains are off. You're free."
The keys in his hand transformed into streaks of light, falling into the mine. As soon as the miners realized what had happened, they erupted in excitement.
They scrambled to grab the keys, quickly unlocking their shackles. Then, they rushed toward the exit, desperate to escape.
Simu paid no attention to the chaos behind him. With his hands in his pockets, he calmly walked toward the ironworks, as if leisurely wandering.
This was where all the newly crafted weapons were stored.
The craftsmen had already fled the moment Simu took care of Rossi, likely fearing he would kill them too.
He entered the ironworks, where a furnace still burned nearby. In front of him was a mountain of weapons, stacked in wooden boxes—kunai, shuriken, ninja swords, and various large knives.
Everything was there.
Simu tapped his chin thoughtfully. "It's a shame I can't take all these weapons with me."
Just then, the den den mushi on his wrist spoke up: "If Mr. Kizaru wants to take all these weapons, you can summon a bigger me."
"I can swallow them and bring them back to Shikotsu Forest, then summon them when you need them, Mr. Kizaru."
Simu's glasses lit up. "Why didn't I think of that?"
"Then I'll leave it to you, Katsuyu."
"It's what I should do."
Thanks to his newfound Admiral constitution, Simu now had the massive chakra needed for such tasks.
Although Simu couldn't summon Katsuyu's full body, summoning a large part of it was still possible.
He bit his finger and pressed it to the ground. A massive summoning circle spread across the entire Metallurgy.
With a burst of smoke, a giant summoning beast, resembling a mountain, appeared in the warehouse, its size overwhelming the entire building.
Simu stands above Katsuyu's head.
"This is the first time I've summoned such a huge Katsuyu,"
"It's an honor for Katsuyu to help Mr. Kizaru."
Simu scratched his head, smiling. "No, I'm the one who's sorry, summoning you all the way here to work overtime."
"Just kidding, Mr. Kizaru."
Katsuyu, without wasting time, quickly split into smaller versions of itself.
The giant body shrank, and these smaller Katsuyu began to open their mouths, wrapping the boxes of weapons in white mud before swallowing them whole.
The entire process took only about five minutes.
"You're lucky," Simu said as he clapped his hands. This was much more efficient, with no waste.
After bidding farewell to Katsuyu, Simu unlocked the Summoning Technique.
The thousands of Katsuyu instantly turned into smoke and vanished, leaving half of Iron Town shrouded in mist.
"Most people are gone,"
"Oh?"
He noticed that over 300 miners were still gathered at the edge of Black Iron Town, as if waiting for something.
Simu frowned and moved in a flash to stand in front of them.
"If you don't leave, you will die"
Simu's mission wasn't to deal with the defenders, but to completely destroy the mine.
As soon as the miners saw him, they knelt and bowed deeply.
"We will never forget your great kindness, hero. If possible, we would like to follow you!"
"I used to be a ninja. Please take me with you; I'll be of use!"
"Me too!"
Simu looked over the 300 people in front of him.
About a third of them were ninjas.
"Well, this is a bit troublesome," Simu muttered, rubbing his chin thoughtfully.
After a moment, he came up with a solution. "You all should go to the Land of Demons."
"The Land of Demons?" They were clearly surprised. Could such a powerful hero come from there?
Simu nodded. "Go there and find a man named Tokumitsu Hyuga. He will help you settle in."
A year ago, after unlocking Hyuga Tokumitsu's Caged Bird Curse Mark, Simu had sent him to the neutral Land of Demons to handle business.
Now, Tokumitsu had established a chamber of commerce there.
The group of miners left for the Land of Demons, and Simu had made up his mind.
He knew this was a good opportunity to replenish their manpower.
After they gathered supplies in Black Iron Town, they set off.
Once they were gone, Simu flew high into the sky.
With his hands outstretched, he mixed the powers of Sage Chakra and the Devil Fruit. The result was a brilliant, dazzling ball of light.
"Sage Art: Nuclear Bomb!".
Moments later, the miners, now safely on their way, saw a massive mushroom cloud rise from the desert.
The explosion of light and heat wiped out the entire mine, leaving nothing behind.
The explosion only strengthened the miners' resolve to follow Simu.
What was once a prosperous mining town was now in ruins. The iron ore hidden in the rocks had melted into molten iron.
To Simu's surprise, the mine held more than just ore.
Beneath the broken layers of rock, thick black oil began to seep up like a spring.
Simu stared at the huge desert, clicking his tongue in amazement.
"Seems like this is another treasure."
