Konoha: Master Of Wood Release, Taking Over Team 7

Chapter 1: The Arrival of the Mysterious Instructor

The sun blazed high in the sky, casting a golden hue over the land. The air was still, and the sky stretched endlessly in a clear, cloudless expanse.

Fire Country - Konoha Shinobi Village.

Inside the Ninja Academy, within one of its many classrooms, a restless figure sat cross-legged on the ground. Uzumaki Naruto, his fox-like face twisted in frustration, watched as the newly graduated Genin left one after another, their team leaders escorting them to begin their new journeys.

He could no longer hold it in. His patience had reached its limit.

"Oi! Everyone else has already been taken away! Where the hell is our Class 7 teacher?!" Naruto finally shouted, his voice echoing in the nearly empty room.

Then, as if struck by lightning, a terrifying thought crossed his mind. His expression changed dramatically, and a flicker of panic flashed in his bright blue eyes.

Could it be…?

Was the reason their teacher hadn't shown up yet because of him? Because he stole the Scroll of Seals last night?

Had that reckless decision caused Team 7 to be disqualified from becoming ninja?

The thought sent a chill down his spine. It made sense after all, every other team had already been taken by their captains, leaving only them waiting for over forty minutes without a single sign of their instructor!

Naruto's mind spiraled into chaos.

It's over. It's completely over.

If Sakura-chan and Sasuke found out that their dreams had been shattered because of him…

They'd kill him on the spot!

Sitting nearby, Uchiha Sasuke remained composed, his hands clasped in front of his chin as he leaned back in his chair. His onyx eyes, cold and indifferent, glanced at Naruto's dramatics with thinly veiled irritation. Then, in a tone dripping with arrogance, he scoffed,

"Idiot. Jōnin have far more important things to do than you think. If our teacher isn't here yet, it just means he's busy handling something crucial."

Naruto blinked.

Wait… really?

Sasuke exuded confidence as if the idea of a Jōnin simply being late was absurd. After all, Jōnin were powerful ninja elite warriors. Their time was valuable, so naturally, they had more pressing matters to deal with than meeting their new students exactly on time.

"Sasuke is so cool…" Haruno Sakura sighed dreamily, her eyes full of admiration as she gazed at the brooding Uchiha, completely ignoring Naruto's existential crisis.

Naruto exhaled in relief, Phew… Maybe everything was fine after all! Just as he was about to respond, his mischievous nature kicked in, and a sly grin crept onto his lips.

An idea had just struck him.

Under the curious eyes of Sakura and the skeptical gaze of Sasuke, Naruto dragged a chair toward the door. Climbing onto it, he carefully wedged a blackboard eraser between the door's cracks, setting up a classic prank.

He stepped back and admired his handiwork, rubbing his chin. "Perfect. Right here should do the trick."

In his mind, he already saw the scene unfolding their new instructor stepping through the door, only to get smacked right on the head by the eraser. Naruto stifled a giggle, covering his mouth as he imagined the look of sheer embarrassment on the teacher's face.

Hehehe… You wanna be late, huh? Let's see how you like this!

Sakura's delicate features twisted into a frown as she glanced at the eraser, then back at Naruto. Her hands went to her hips, and she scolded him in an exasperated tone, "Naruto, what are you doing?!"

"This is our first time meeting our captain! We're supposed to make a good impression! You're just making things worse!"

Though her voice was filled with reprimand, deep down, she secretly approved of the prank.

Yes! Good! Let's teach this tardy teacher a lesson for making me wait so long!

Sasuke, on the other hand, merely scoffed. "Hmph. How childish. Most of the team leaders are Jōnin. Do you really think a Jōnin would fall for something as low-level as this?"

It was common knowledge every team consisted of three newly graduated Genin, led by a Jōnin-rank instructor. At worst, the leader could be a Tokubetsu Jōnin, but regardless, they were leagues ahead of any academy student.

Naruto could throw a kunai with all his might, and a Jōnin would still dodge it effortlessly so what were the chances of this simple eraser trap actually working?

Still grinning, Naruto patted Sasuke's shoulder. "Sasuke, even though you say that… you're secretly hoping it works, aren't you?"

Sasuke immediately shoved Naruto's hand away, his expression filled with disdain. "Don't lump me together with an idiot like you. You're nowhere near my level."

"Tch what did you just say, you bastard?!" Naruto's grin vanished, his forehead creasing as anger flared in his eyes. He grabbed Sasuke's collar aggressively, as if ready to throw down on the spot.

Sasuke, unfazed, shoved his hands into his pockets and looked down at Naruto, eyes sharp with superiority. "Don't pick fights you can't win. You're nothing compared to me."

"Naruto, let Sasuke go!" Sakura snapped, yanking Naruto away from Sasuke.

Naruto reluctantly released him, deflating like a popped balloon. "But… Sakura-chan, he started it!"

Sakura glared, placing her hands on her hips. "Stop bothering Sasuke and challenging him at every turn! Just behave for once!"

Naruto twitched. That damn Sasuke…!

The tension in the room grew thick, the atmosphere charged with the rivalry between Naruto and Sasuke. The two glared at each other intensely, while Sakura simply glared at Naruto, siding with her beloved Sasuke.

Then—

Creak—

The door slowly swung open, and everyone fell silent, their heads whipping toward the entrance.

A smooth, teasing voice echoed through the room. "Are you guys having a male dominance contest? I can wait until you're done."

Stepping into the classroom was a tall, striking figure.

His long, messy white hair cascaded down his back, contrasting sharply with his loose black yukata. He had an effortlessly elegant yet lazy aura, his posture relaxed yet commanding. Standing at 185 cm, he towered over them all.

This was Yagyū Tsuki, a time traveler and their new instructor.

Sakura's hands flew to her mouth, her cheeks flushing pink. "W-Whoa… Is this really our captain?!"

He was unbelievably handsome even cooler than Sasuke!

Meanwhile, Naruto smirked, sneaking a glance at the blackboard eraser, which had just begun its descent toward Tsuki's head.

Hehehe, let's see you get embarrassed now!

But before it could land

The air around them rippled subtly, and in the blink of an eye, Naruto found himself standing at the door instead.

SMACK!

The blackboard eraser landed squarely on his own head.

Covered in white chalk dust, Naruto stood completely dazed.

Sakura and Sasuke were stunned.

Naruto blinked, dumbfounded. "E-Eh?! W-Wait… Did we just… switch places?!"

Yagyū Tsuki smirked. "Oh? That was pretty fun to watch."
