Chapter 81: Chapter 81: Doing Business With Conscience
"This is my business!" declared the White Zetsu, slamming the book open and flipping to a particular page.
As the White Zetsu read the contents aloud, their faces shifted through a spectrum of emotions—shock, disbelief, and finally, awe.
"Damn! Is this for real or what?" one muttered in astonishment.
"The pictures don't lie. This has to be true!" another said, eyes wide with surprise.
"Could this be the kind of business Master A Fei was talking about?" a third White Zetsu asked cautiously.
One of them scratched his head, muttering, "No wonder he spent 50 million taels transforming his body. Turns out that all the stuff about pooping was just a cover — the real business is something else entirely."
At the thought, they suddenly felt a shiver of fear and instinctively covered their behinds.
"Maybe we should just go back to selling newspapers..." one suggested with a nervous laugh.
"I think that's the safer route," another agreed.
"I'm with you," a third chimed in, and just like that, the group of White Zetsu standing outside the inn exchanged uneasy glances before scattering in different directions.
"Spread the word! Mr. A Fei, the former senior executive, has quit to start this... 'py business'!" one shouted as he ran off.
Meanwhile, inside the hotel, Ah Fei sank back onto the sofa, staring at the little blue pill on the table. A cold sweat broke out on his forehead. "This stuff is really terrifying..."
His thoughts jumped to the fat man who had also taken the medicine earlier. "Shit... what if that guy is dead out there? Was Peter really selling fake medicine after all? The boss actually fooled me with counterfeit pills!"
Ah Fei hesitated, fingers twitching as he reached for the pill, intending to take it to Peter for answers, when the door suddenly swung open. The fat man walked in, face flushed red with excitement.
"Haha! Lord Ah Fei, your medicine really works!" he exclaimed.
The fat man's eyes sparkled as he recalled how his opponent had screamed in pain when he landed a blow just moments ago. With this pill in his system, who could doubt his strength now?
"Huh?" Ah Fei blinked in confusion. The fat man was praising the medicine? Wasn't Peter selling him fake pills?
After a brief pause, Ah Fei asked, "So, what do you think of the effect of this medicine?"
"It's incredible!" The fat man said, grinning ear to ear. "This medicine makes me feel like I'm young again, like I've got power coursing through my veins!"
Ah Fei listened intently, slowly realizing that the medicine Peter sold him was genuine after all. As for why he himself had such a strong reaction after taking it, well... maybe it was because Ah Fei wasn't exactly human.
"Master A Fei, I want more of this medicine! How much does a bottle cost?" the fat man asked eagerly, his mind already racing with business possibilities.
The fat man's enthusiasm snapped Ah Fei out of his daze. He rubbed his hands together with a sly grin. "Well, one bottle costs 130,000 taels. How many would you like to order, boss?"
Upon hearing the price, the fat man's eyes widened in disbelief. "130,000 taels per bottle? That's crazy expensive!"
He had expected the medicine to be costly, but not that costly.
"You do realize," Ah Fei continued, lighting a cigarette and taking a deep drag, "there are only three pills in each bottle, and you can only use them three times total. So yeah, it's a lot of money."
The fat man sighed heavily. "Master A Fei, I understand the effects are powerful, but 130,000 taels is just too much. How about 90,000 taels per bottle?"
Ah Fei exhaled a plume of smoke and shook his head. "Boss, the cost of making this medicine is already high. If I sell it to you for 90,000 taels, I barely break even..."
The fat man fell silent for a moment, clearly weighing the cost.
"Master Ah Fei," he finally asked, "if I order in bulk, how much could you sell it for then?"
Interest sparked in Ah Fei's eyes. "Oh? How much are you thinking?"
The fat man raised three fingers. "Three hundred bottles."
Ah Fei's hand trembled slightly as he held the cigarette, but he forced himself to stay calm. "Alright... for that volume, I can sell it for 100,000 taels per bottle."
The fat man hesitated, looking doubtful. "Is there really no way to get it any cheaper?"
Ah Fei stood up and clapped the fat man on the shoulder. "This is already a steal. The cost of each bottle is 90,000 taels just in raw materials. Selling it to you for 100,000 taels means I'm barely making a profit."
"Damn," the fat man muttered. "The cost really is that high?"
"Yeah," Ah Fei said proudly. "The raw materials are all natural treasures, and there's a lot of research and development behind it. Considering all that, selling it at 100,000 taels is more than fair."
The fat man nodded slowly in agreement. Given the incredible effects of the medicine, it made sense that it cost a fortune to make.
"At worst," he thought, "I could sell one pill for 150,000 taels and still make a good profit."
Seeing the fat man deep in thought, Ah Fei chuckled and patted his chest. "Boss, don't worry! The most important thing in business is conscience—and I happen to have plenty of that!"
The fat man burst out laughing. "You're right, Master A Fei. For your conscience alone, I'll take 100,000 taels a bottle!"
Ah Fei laughed heartily too, secretly thrilled. He hadn't expected to find such an easy customer on his very first order. Selling 300 bottles in one go would bring in a net profit of 21 million taels—he was suddenly very rich indeed.
"Haha! Happy cooperation!" The fat man grinned ear to ear.
In his mind, Ah Fei seemed clueless about business—he had just told him the exact cost price of the goods! Since the cost was 90,000 taels, and he was buying them for 100,000 taels, the fat man planned to sell the pills at 150,000 taels each without blinking.
They both smiled, each thinking they'd gotten the better deal.
"It'll take about three months to produce the 300 bottles," Ah Fei explained. "Right now, I only have 50 bottles in stock."
He handed over only 50 bottles for now, a tactic he'd learned from Black Zetsu—something called hunger marketing, where you keep supplies tight to increase demand.
The fat man had no complaints. He understood completely. After paying a 10 million tael deposit, he took the 50 bottles and prepared to leave.
Before stepping out, the fat man suddenly turned back and asked, "Master A Fei, what's the name of this medicine?"
Ah Fei blinked in surprise. Peter hadn't even told him the medicine's name.
But after a moment's thought, he smiled and said, "Well, this medicine is called the 'A Fei Brand Magic Pill.' Sounds powerful, right?"
The fat man's mouth twitched in disbelief. "Haha, amazing..." he muttered as he turned and left.
As soon as the fat man was gone, Ah Fei hurried outside, eager to tell his brothers the good news.
But to his surprise, the group of White Zetsu who had gathered by the inn's entrance was nowhere to be found.
"What the hell?" Ah Fei muttered, his brow furrowing. "Where did my little brothers disappear to?!"

Expansion and More Depth
Ah Fei's mind raced as he paced back and forth on the wooden floor of the inn's veranda. The whole day had been a roller coaster of emotions, from confusion to fear to exhilaration. The discovery of the medicine's true power—and the business potential it held—had given him a newfound purpose.
Yet, the abrupt disappearance of his loyal White Zetsu brothers gnawed at him. Weren't they supposed to stick together? Had they really abandoned him so easily?
He wondered if the rumors he'd heard outside were true. The White Zetsu, having misinterpreted the book's contents, had fled in fear of the so-called "py business." The idea of their big brother A Fei starting such a strange and mysterious trade must have terrified them.
Shaking his head, Ah Fei chuckled bitterly. "I guess they just don't get it yet. But once they see the money, they'll come running back."
He glanced at the little blue pill again, rolling it between his fingers. So much power packed into such a small package.
His mind drifted to Peter. The man had really pulled one over on him—selling this medicine under the guise of some mysterious product. But Ah Fei wasn't angry. In fact, he was grateful. Without Peter's help, none of this would have been possible.
"Peter is sharp," Ah Fei thought. "Even if he's a little secretive, he knows what he's doing."
Determined to keep the momentum going, Ah Fei pulled out a small ledger and began jotting down plans for marketing, production schedules, and potential clients.
"Three months to produce 300 bottles," he muttered, "I have to make sure they don't run out before then."
He paused and smiled. "Time to bring my little brothers back and tell them the truth. Business is booming, and we're going to make a fortune together!"
With renewed energy, Ah Fei strode back into the inn, ready to turn misunderstanding into opportunity.
