Konoha: The Honored One

Chapter 49: The Illusion Duel Was Very Awkward, The Two Stared At Each Other.

Tayuya stood tall, her dark skin and wild red hair a striking contrast to the cursed black seals that covered her body. Flanked by three towering, humanoid summoning beasts, she sneered as she raised her flute.

"Alright, old lady, end of the line," she spat, her fingers twitching in anticipation.

"Finale, Ninth Movement: Revolt of the Demon World!" In her fully cursed form, Tayuya poured all her chakra into her flute. The haunting melody sent thick, ghostly wisps of energy swirling around her summoned beasts, like floating souls.

Class B illusion—here we go, she thought with a wicked grin.

"Another illusion user?" Kurenai Yuhi's brow twitched as her fingers lit up with chakra. She tapped her belly lightly.

"Illusion—dispel."

The spectral fog around Tayuya's beasts vanished instantly. A B-level illusion? Kurenai could handle that in her sleep.

"Persistent woman!" Tayuya snarled, her eyes flashing with irritation. "Try this one: Demonic Flute · Phantom Dance!" She continued playing, the haunting notes fusing with her summoned monsters.

"Demonic Illusion: Tree Binding Death." Kurenai's hands moved with deliberate precision, twisting reality as massive vines erupted from the ground, coiling around Tayuya and her beasts in a towering tree.

"What the heck is this?!" Tayuya's eyes widened as she struggled, but no matter how hard she tried, the branches wouldn't budge.

"Underestimate me, will you?" Kurenai said, slipping through the vines with ease, kunai in hand, aiming straight for Tayuya's neck.

Just as Kurenai lunged, Tayuya's curse mark flared to life. Two ghostly white horns erupted from her head, and her chakra pulsed with wild, unnatural energy. The haunting melody fused with her power, shattering the illusory tree around her.

"This girl's chakra… it's different," Kurenai muttered, her eyes narrowing in concern. The chakra felt… alive, almost like—

"Hey, aren't we done here yet?" Gojo's voice cut through the tension, and he appeared out of nowhere, looking utterly bored.

"G-Gojo!" Tayuya froze, a flash of fear crossing her face. If he was here, her team was done for.

"Ghost gang, attack!" Tayuya yelled, sending her three monstrous summoning beasts charging at him.

Gojo just grinned lazily and adjusted the lollipop in his mouth. "You've got a cute face—don't hold it against me if I mess it up."

In the blink of an eye, he was gone. A heartbeat later, Tayuya's left arm was missing, a hole had been blasted through her abdomen, and her summoned beasts were nothing but chunks of raw meat. Tayuya crumpled to the ground in a bloody heap.

"Kurenai, be a dear and finish her off," Gojo said casually, flicking the stick of his lollipop at her like a pointer.

Kurenai blinked, half-exasperated. "Your strength… it's just ridiculous."

"You're welcome," Gojo smirked. "Seriously though, watching you two stare each other down? Awkward."

Kurenai rolled her eyes. "Yeah, well, some of us didn't have a legendary teacher spoon-feeding us ninjustsu tricks since we were kids."

"Keep struggling at the bottom, and maybe one day you'll make it out." Gojo smirked, as if he hadn't just unleashed verbal napalm.

Kurenai's fists clenched as a dangerous aura simmered around her. "Struggle at the bottom? This guy… he's insufferable!"

"I saw you shaking down the kids for pocket money earlier, by the way," she said, feigning a lighthearted smile, though her words were laced with judgment. "Only you would treat students like an ATM."

"Jealous, are we?" Gojo raised an eyebrow. "Stick around, I'll empty your wallet too." He gave her a cheeky grin, then winked out of sight.

Kurenai's face flushed. Empty my wallet? She rolled her eyes. "Ugh. That jerk…"

Meanwhile, the remaining Leaf ninjas watched in stunned silence as Gojo's complete annihilation of the enemy unfolded before them.

"Did you see that?! Gojo just wiped out hundreds of enemies like it was nothing!"

"Even the kunai couldn't touch him—he's invincible!"

"Legendary ninja Gojo Satorui!"

In less than three minutes, all 320 enemies lay defeated, reduced to nothing.

"Alright, show's over," Gojo announced, brushing some imaginary dust from his coat. "Next time, try to be a little faster."

The Leaf ninjas stood there, staring in awe, speechless at the sheer scale of destruction they'd just witnessed.
