Kyler's Odyssey: How I became the last seal of a Demon King.

As the woman's hand clapped together the air seemed to crackle with a malevolent energy. For those who had drunk the wine laced with her potion nearly ninety percent of the guests an excruciating pain surged through their bodies.

Their chest tightened and a sickening crack reverberated through their bodies muscles stretched and spasmed, their frames distorting as their bodies twisted beyond recognition.

Their skin split open giving away grotesque limbs that sprouted from their torso, jagged claws tearing through flesh while their eyes was an ominous blood red hue, burning with an insatiable hunger.

The transformation was unstoppable

The monsters began to spill out into the city their savage roar filling the streets. One car careened off the road, crashing into another causing a chain reaction of accidents that sent more vehicles spiraling out of control.

Fire raged in the distance scorching the city while the monstrous creatures moved with ferocity hunting down anyone that was in their paths. Screams, sharp and tortured ripped through the night echoing through Ashford as citizens fled for their lives.

Panic spread like wildfire and the stampede broke out, thrashing through the streets as the people of Ashford tried desperately to avoid the nightmare unfolding before their very eyes.

The one thing the Alpha Squad tried to prevent, the whole reason the mission was arranged in the first place became a monstrous reality before their very eyes.

Aiden, Ryder, Dax, Freya and Damien stood outside the ballroom, a cold, bitter silence swept their faces as they watched the city turn into chaos in less than thirty seconds.

Aiden angrily tightened his fist, veins ran down the back of his hand disappearing into his long sleeved shirt.

"There's no time to stand around" He said, his voice reenkindling the fire in them that had almost died out. "There are people out there that we can still save, I know the chaos is too widespread for us to handle but we have to do something".

"Freya you go South, Damien you go north, Dax you go west and Ryder you go East. New mission, protect as many citizens as you can even it, costs you your life after all we're also to blame for this chaos I'll find the bastard that started this mess" Aiden ordered his voice grave with anger.

Aiden's words were like embers catching fire in their spirits and like that all doubts faded into the background each of them understanding they were now part of an even greater mission.

Immediately Aiden turned to face the building, with deep squat, his muscles coiled and tension built then with explosive force he launched himself upward, the ground beneath him cracked as the braces on his legs jolted into motion and with a powerful force shot him high up the building

Dax turned to the left slowly bending his knees his gaze faced upwards and with a powerful leap he exploded into the air far away from where he stood.

Flames erupted from Ryder's palm. With a swift downward push of his arm, he shot into the air, flames still sizzling on the ground beneath him. A trail of fire followed his movement as he propelled himself upward and to the right.

Damien coated his legs with ice sliding forward at lightning speed leaving a trail of frost as he shot straight ahead.

Freya using her swift momentum dashed off her body reducing to blur as she moved.

Aiden grasped the edge of the building pulling his weight up easily, the first thing his eyes caught was the woman standing at the edge of the building watching the havoc but couldn't see her face.

His fists tightened nails digging into his palms as his breath came in short jagged bursts his face flushed with deep furious eyes blazing with fire that narrowed into glare his jaw clenched so hard as though his teeth might shatter every muscle in his body tensed coiled like a string about to snap.

"Did you come to get a better view of the chaos ?" She asked her voice, smooth and sharp breaking the silence, every word she uttered fueling Aiden's anger even more.

"I'm so sorry I forgot to introduce myself my name is Seraphina the–".

Aiden couldn't hold himself anymore his brain snapped forcing his body to dive into action, he coiled his arm about to release a devastating blow right on her back.

Without even looking backwards, Seraphina effortlessly spun avoiding his attack and placing herself behind him in a fluid motion. With a gentle push to his back barely more than a nudge, Aiden's balance faltered, though the push was light he fought to steady himself struggling not to tumble off the rooftop.

Seraphina gently grabbed his palm preventing him from falling off.

"Careful now" She cautioned.

"You wouldn't wanna fall off now, would you ?" Her fingers remained delicately wrapped around Aiden's hand

Instinctively Aiden tightened his grip almost crushing her fingers and yanked her toward him with fierce speed at the same time his other arm swung towards her face.

With effortless grace Seraphina used the tip of her fingers to nudge his arm aside the motion was so subtle he didn't notice his punch miss her, his arm flew past the side of her face and the force of his pull brought her body crashing against his.

She slowly placed her other arm around Aiden's neck, as her glance lowered from his eye down to his lips.

"You know," she said, her voice smooth and laced with a subtle, seductive tone, "up close, you're kind of hot."

She slowly raised her feet up to the tip of her toes as she attempted to kiss Aiden.

With immediate response Aiden pushes her backwards the anger in his eyes slightly reduced.

"Is this some kind of joke to you ?" He asked his voice filled with frustration.

"Joke? Why would you think that?" she replied, her voice still laced with a seductive tone. "I really meant it. I think we'd make a perfect couple."

"Damn she's fast I haven't even landed one single blow on her I don't think she's even taking this fight seriously, she's toying with me, well I should've figured she'd be strong, after all she somehow survived Ryder's initial attack" Aiden said inwardly his voice panicking in distress.

"I have to take her out fast and go help the others I can't afford to be useless at a crucial moment like this" His voice gradually gaining momentum as he thought inwardly.

If you're thinking about how to beat me, just forget it," she said mockingly. "It's never going to happen."

"Buuut, if you're thinking about how the two of us could kiss..." She stepped forward, closing the distance between them."

"That can happen."

Aiden immediately turned around and leapt off the building, leaving Seraphina utterly speechless.

Her face etched with confusion as she turned around in all four directions to know where he was coming from and what he was planning.

In an instant, the ground beneath her feet vibrated, distorting violently. Where she stood, the earth rose up as Aiden's hand broke through the surface, sending her crashing off her feet.

Aiden erupted from the ground with explosive force. His hands first pierced through the Earth sending cracks radiating outward.

In a fluid, almost violent motion his body followed shooting upwards as if propelled by an unseen power, dirt and debris cascaded around him, the air thick with the raw energy of his sudden rise his eyes locked onto Seraphina and with that same fierce determination he was ready to strike.
