Legendary Architect of Apocalypse
Chapter 157: The Six
"I was getting quite bored after being left behind. If the Tomb wants to send something to us to keep us entertained, then what could be better?" The few who had grown bored after being left behind, also rose up with interest.
They also summoned their weapons. If they wanted, they could attack before that thing even entered the hall, but confident in their abilities, none of them was too hasty in killing what they thought to be another monster in this tomb.
With the light footsteps getting closer, their eyes started revealing a desire to hunt.
"Huh?"
"What?"
"Is that a..."
Almost all their expressions grew worse when they saw the owner of those footsteps, which had assumed to be a human shaped monster.
"Is it someone from the Academy?" Not only was the person not a monster, but he was also wearing the attire of the universe.
"How can that be possible? He looks like he is just twelve years old. At best he would be a newcomer at the academy. Why would he be sent here by the Academy?"
"Could he be a monster that can take human shape?"
"Disguise like that doesn't work on me. I can feel his aura. Although it is a little unique, it's definitely human. Moreover I can also feel the aura of the Academy badge on him. He is definitely a human."
Even though the five of them were confused with the arrival of the child, they still lowered their weapons.
"Could it be that the Academy realized that we needed a sixth person and sent whoever they could find the closest to save time for us?" a girl suggested. "The Dean is definitely farsighted."
"Isn't that no different than sacrificing that child? Wouldn't they have selected someone stronger even if it took a little longer?"
"Tch, children like him are dime a dozen in the academy. Do you think he is more important than us? We are the future of the academy." A young man brushed his fingers through his long hair, revealing a smug smile. "Of course the Academy would try to help us."
"Whatever the case, we have a sixth person. That means we can begin the test to get past the statue!"
On the other end, Elias was also observing the five left behind. Amongst the group that he remembered entering the tomb, these five were the weakest. But that was only within the context of that group.
Within the Academy, their strength and talent was definitely reigning supreme if they were selected by the Dean herself.
"They are looking at you as if you are some delicacy for them. You should be extremely careful. I don't think they have good intentions towards you." Astralious grimaced. "I don't like them."
'It would have been more strange if they did have good intentions towards me,' Elias answered Astralious using his thoughts.
"Why are they left behind though? It's like they were waiting just for you."
'It probably has something to do with the statue behind them. If they are left behind, then it probably has less to do with their intentions and more to do with their ability to go forward. I suppose we will find out.'
Amongst the group, there were five people in total. And two of them were wearing the attire of the Destroyer Class, while the remaining three belonged to the Creator Class.
The numbers looked unbalanced in favor of the Creator Class, but with his arrival, the balance was restored between the classes.
"Child, introduce yourself," a girl from the Creator Class teleported before Elias, and commanded.
Even though she should have been grateful that she had a sixth person that she needed, there was still a condescending gaze in her eyes as she looked down on Elias who was shorter than her.
Elias was tall for his age. Still, he only managed to come up to her breasts, having to raise his head to even look in her eyes.
"I am Elias, a first year student from the Destroyer Class."
"And what is your last name?" The girl frowned. Even though she looked down on Elias, she wanted to be sure that she wasn't dealing with someone troublesome.
With her age and experience, she had long learned that there were many dragons hiding within the academy that were descendants of a few troublesome families.
With the second test right beyond the corner, she didn't want to make the same mistake of underestimating a little unknown dragon.
"Elias Greyson," Elias lied through his teeth, keeping his true last name hidden since it only brought him trouble with others from start to end.
So far, there were many people that hated him simply because of his last name. Even though he couldn't use the influence that came with that name for now, it was still a worthy loss if it saved him more unnecessary trouble.
"Hmph." The girl nodded. She didn't remember any founding family that was called Greyson. Even amongst a few influential mid tier families, there was none with that name.
It made her believe that Elias truly came from an insignificant family, and wasn't a threat for her. The others also thought the same thing, as they hadn't seen the Asbborn Identification Badge that Elias kept safely in his storage.
"Did the Dean force you to enter?" Another person asked.
Elias didn't know what kind of stories they had formed in their minds, but he still nodded his head and let them live in their decisions.
"I thought so." The young man rubbed his chin. "This is good. I should really express my gratitude to the Dean after I leave this place. But before that..."
He turned to the statue which has six hands like a rakshasa and an object in each of his hands. "All of you, take one object and get ready for the second test!"
He flew towards the statue, and the other four also did the same. None of them went for the same object, as if they had already decided amongst themselves about the items that they were going to take.
Only one item was left on the status by the time everyone landed back on the ground.
