Legendary Architect of Apocalypse

Chapter 233: Luck

"Was I thrown in the middle of nowhere?"

As soon as he was tossed out of the portal, he found himself falling from the sky. He was about to use his wings to fly, but the fall wasn't deep.

He couldn't even summon his wings before he fell in a large body of water. His body sank deep before he started swimming upwards and reached the surface.

There was only one problem. As far as his eyes could see, there was no sign of land. It was as if he had fallen in the middle of an ocean, far away from any civilization.

"My luck can't be that bad, right?" He mumbled, as his body started rising in the air. Flaming wings came out of his back, which started burning the water that came in contact with them.

Despite the water, his wings burned brighter than ever as he rose higher, like an angel rising from hell. He only stopped rising when his feet were barely touching the surface of water.

"If anything, only your luck can be this bad. Somehow, you get the extremes in good luck and bad luck, each. So I won't find it surprising if we are indeed some godforsaken corner of this realm."

Even though Elias was all alone here, he had someone that could talk to him. Unfortunately, he wasn't here to talk to Astralious. If he wanted to talk to him, he could have talked to him at the Academy itself.

He came here to explore this world, and gather things that could help him in establishing his own realm in the future, far away from the Academy's reach.

The Academy sent the children here to bring the most precious of items that they could find, back to the Academy. He had no interest in doing something so mundane, since he didn't really need to rely on the Academy.

If he wanted the Academy's support in resources, he could always ask his two masters. Even Freya was going to help him herself, as long as he took his position as Kaelen.

"Now that I think about it, aren't there two more people on this trip with me?"

He still had Kaelen in his shadow realm. Along with Kaelen, there was also his brother who was still trapped, going through the sufferings that were no different than a punishment from hell.

He still hasn't thought about how to actually kill Dreke. At first, he wanted to kill him after taking him to earth, so that he knew why he was dying. But eventually, he changed his mind when he thought about reinventing earth for himself.

Not only was Dreke a hostage that could ensure his safety to some extent, but he was also someone that Elias wanted to show the new and evolved earth.

Maybe death wasn't a punishment for Dreke. It was only an easy way out, no matter how painful he made that death. He had thought of a better punishment that involved the future of earth.

There was another small reason behind him not killing Dreke yet. It had to do with him not being absolutely certain about his own memories, and the changes in earth. Where was his body? Did it even exist in the first place?

He didn't make a hasty decision when it came to Dreke. He wanted to save Dreke for later, like a delicacy that needed to be savored for long to make it have a better taste.

"I really hope we find land soon. This scenery would become boring really fast." Astralious placed his hand on his forehead, watching the waves of the ocean rise and fall.

As a spirit, who was still trapped in Elias's consciousness, he could still smell the fascinating scent of the ocean. The scenery wasn't half bad either, but he didn't want to see the same thing for an eternity.

"It truly would." Elias agreed with Astralious, not wanting to be trapped in this place. He flew in the air, almost reaching for the clouds to see as far as his eyes possibly could.

His senses made it somewhat easier for him to see as far as a human would with the help of binoculars, if not farther. But there was no shore in sight. He couldn't even see a small island, or a tree for him to rest.

"Let's just hope that the bad luck has run out, and now it's time for good luck." Elias selected a random direction.

There was a good chance that he might be going even farther from the nearest shore, which was why he left everything on luck when he selected a direction to fly in.

He selected the direction in which the sun was rising, and started flying towards the rising sun, like a bird that was rushing for the warmth of the sun.

He kept flying for hours, but nothing changed. The scenery was still the same. If he didn't know better, he might have even thought that he was just flying around the same place.

In the ocean, there were no markers. All he could rely on was the arc of the sun, and its trajectory to continue flying in the same direction.

He kept flying until the sun that was in front of him, was behind him. The sun that had just started rising, had almost started setting as the thirty hour long day passed away. Surprisingly, there was no moon in this world.

Once the sun disappeared on the horizon, it was a stark night. Even Elias couldn't maintain his sight to cover the same distance in this darkness, despite having night vision skill.

Still, he kept flying throughout the night. It was only a few hours later that he finally saw a change in the dark scenery where he could only see the sound of waves.

In the distance, he saw a small flicker of light. From the distance, he couldn't be certain what it was. However, just to be cautious, he slowed down and even used stealth to approach the source of light.
