Legendary Broken Player - VRMMORPG

Chapter 796 - Storm vs. Spear

The stage was set.

On the massive screen, the figures of Broken and Elincia appeared, their avatars highlighted from a dramatic overhead shot before the camera zoomed in to capture their faces. The countdown timer had already begun, ticking down from 10.

The crowd was electric—cheers, chants, and roars of excitement filled the stadium.

Elincia's face appeared crystal clear on the screen, and the reaction was immediate. Despite the fact that in-game appearances were usually enhanced, Elincia's beauty in Immortal Legacy was eerily close to her real-life self—flawless, without a single imperfection.

From across the battlefield, her voice rang out, carrying a teasing edge. "Use your summons, and I'm sure you'll win easily."

A loud "Woooo!" erupted from the audience at her playful taunt.

"Because if you hold back, I doubt you'll stand a chance against me, huh?"

Broken smirked slightly. "You think I'd lose just because I don't use my summons?"

"I've already warned you," Elincia replied as crackling lightning began to surge around her form.

Broken chuckled. "Then you should use the Spellweaver Chrono Booster—that way, you can cast your ridiculous skills even faster and try to finish me off right away." His grin widened slightly. "I wouldn't mind if you used it to try and take me down."

Elincia smirked back. "Oh? Are you saying I'd lose without that borrowed item of yours?" She flipped her hair back confidently. "No need to worry—I'll still give you an amazing performance without it, Broken."

The crowd erupted, completely eating up the interaction.

These weren't just two top players going head-to-head. They had history.

Everyone knew how close Broken and Elincia were—how they were often seen sitting together during matches, how their past guilds were intertwined, and of course, the infamous merging of the Ass Guild into Vensalor Guild.

This match wasn't just about who was stronger.

This was Ex-Guild Leader vs. Current Guild Leader.

This was a battle that HAD to happen.

The countdown hit 0.

The match began!

A rippling wave of cheers and shouts echoed across the entire stadium the moment Elincia's body lifted into the air.

Her flowing blue robe blended with the crackling blue lightning that surged violently around her, illuminating the battlefield in a breathtaking display of raw magical energy.

On the other side, Broken had already drawn his spear—his signature weapon, the one he always relied on in battle. His stance shifted into an offensive position, fully prepared to counter whatever came next.

Broken knew exactly what Elincia was doing.

There was no way she would use the Spellweaver Chrono Booster. Even though that item allowed her to cast any spell instantly, Broken had too many defensive measures that would make those 10 seconds of advantage completely useless.

Not to mention, Elincia's mana consumption would be massive if she relied on that strategy. Instead, she would likely focus on utility spells—ones that could strip Broken of his protective defenses.

And just as he predicted, she made her move.

Elincia's body suddenly blurred as she darted left and right at impossible speeds.

Then—

Something insane happened.

Elincia's body split apart.

In a flash, multiple copies of her burst outward in every direction, each one still crackling with lightning, their forms encircling Broken from all angles.

The crowd erupted in gasps and cheers at the stunning sight. Discover more content at My Virtual Library Empire

Without hesitation, each Elincia fired off rapid bursts of lightning, bombarding Broken from all sides with relentless pew-pew energy blasts.

Broken immediately took off running, dodging the incoming attacks, leaping into the air, and thrusting his spear toward one of the Elincia copies.

His attack landed—but the moment his spear struck, her body simply vanished.

A phantom.

Not real.

At the same time, Elincia recalled something Maylon had said before—an analysis of Broken's Invincible Paragon ability.

His defensive skill set was absurdly layered. Most notably, his Invincible Shields provided 12 layers of protection, meaning he could nullify up to 12 attacks before taking any real damage.

That was why her strategy was simple—strip those shields away first. By continuously bombarding him with small, rapid attacks, she could chip away at his defenses—until he had nothing left to protect himself.

The early phase of the fight looked almost one-sided—Elincia appeared to be toying with Broken, continuously attacking from all directions with her illusion skills, while Broken kept dashing, weaving, and lunging with his spear, desperately trying to land a hit.

But every time he struck—nothing. Just another illusion fading into thin air.

At this rate, it was clear that Broken, as a close-range fighter, would simply be kited to death if Elincia kept her distance, flying above him while bombarding him from afar.

He had to do something.

Maylon had already broken it down for Elincia before the match. "Once his 12 layers of Invincible Shield are gone, the next thing protecting him is a massive chunk of Earth-based Health Shield. Your lightning attacks are highly effective against it. So when the time comes, go all in with a high-damage lightning strike."

And just like that—the moment Broken failed to land even a single hit—Elincia raised both hands above her head.

Immediately, the arena shook violently.

A deep, thunderous rumble filled the stadium, growing louder by the second. The screen flashed white for a split moment before—

A barrage of massive lightning strikes came crashing down.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

The ground exploded with blinding energy, each impact ripping through the battlefield as Elincia unleashed her full power.

Broken barely had a moment to react. He activated Invincible Force Reflection, a skill that allowed him to reflect all incoming damage for exactly two seconds.

But—

Elincia's attack lasted longer than two seconds.

The continuous bombardment outlasted his defense, striking him directly after his reflection effect wore off.

And because Elincia remained at a safe distance, there was no way for him to counterattack.

When the lightning storm finally subsided, the dust settled, revealing Broken still standing in the center of the arena.

But for the first time—

His Health had dropped by 30%.

Brando practically exploded with excitement the moment the dust settled.

"OH—MY—GOD!!! ELINCIA JUST DROPPED A THUNDERSTORM ON BROKEN'S HEAD, AND HE ATE IT!!!" His voice boomed through the stadium as the crowd roared in response. "DID YOU SEE THAT?! THAT WASN'T JUST A LIGHTNING SPELL—THAT WAS A CATASTROPHIC AERIAL STRIKE!!"

He barely took a breath before continuing, his energy off the charts.

"AND LOOK AT HIS HEALTH!! A WHOLE 30% GONE! ELINCIA'S NOT HOLDING BACK—SHE JUST BROKE THROUGH HIS DEFENSES AND STILL KEPT GOING!! IF HE DOESN'T TURN THIS AROUND, THIS FIGHT MIGHT NOT LAST MUCH LONGER!"

Paul, however, remained calm and focused, his analytical mind processing every move.

"I wouldn't be so quick to count Broken out just yet," he said. "Yes, he took massive damage, but look at him. He's still standing tall. He's not panicking, not rushing—just watching. Calculating."

He leaned in slightly, his voice carrying a knowing edge.

"This… isn't over. In fact, I'd say this is just the beginning."

Brando's eyes widened as he caught on. "Wait… are you saying he still has more up his sleeve?!"

Paul nodded. "Absolutely. We haven't seen Broken go all out yet. We've seen his defensive layers break down, but we still don't know how far he can push back. And trust me—he will push back."

Brando's grin returned, his excitement rising again. "HOH?! YOU THINK HE'S BEEN HOLDING BACK?!"

Paul smirked. "I think we're about to find out why Broken made it this far."

The crowd erupted again.

Because if Broken wasn't done yet…

Then things were about to get even crazier.

Elincia's clones still hovered around Broken, their crackling forms encircling him as his health rapidly regenerated at an astonishing speed.

She smirked. "See? I just took 30% of your health in one attempt. Like… imagine, I only need to do that four more times, and this match is over."

Her voice carried a teasing edge, daring him. "Are you still sure you won't use your summons, huh? Broken? The guy who only wins by hiding behind his summons?"

The crowd reacted immediately, gasping at the taunt.

But Broken… he just smiled.

He wasn't offended. In fact—he was enjoying this. Like hell, when else would they get the chance to go at each other like this?

"Elincia," he called her name, adjusting his spear's grip, his gaze locking onto one of the clones.

His voice was steady, confident. "I know you're not naïve enough to think that a simple attack like that would take me down."

He shifted his stance, the air around him growing heavier, charged.

"This fight is just getting started, Elincia."

The entire stadium shook as the crowd erupted into cheers and roars, their excitement reaching a fever pitch.

This was the battle of legends.

A match that would have never happened if not for the Eternal Challenge.

And now—it was truly about to begin.
