Legendary FBI Detective

Chapter 173: Six Photos, Four Red Crosses

In the basement.

Luo An walked up to the refrigerator and checked the other compartments, only to find that this vast refrigerator was used for freezing just one item.

Reesi came up beside Luo An and took a serious and careful look at the face in the refrigerator, his expression complex:

"What do you think, Luo An?"

"I don't know."

Luo An shook his head; the sight before him also exceeded his expectations.

However, the face resembling that of Jorgen Landry did spark several conjectures in Luo An's mind.

But conjecture is just that, and he still needed to find evidence.

With that thought, Luo An took out his phone to make a call.

First, to have Team 5 rush a SWAT unit to the area for surveillance, perhaps to catch Jorgen Landry later on.

Second, to call the Trace Evidence Department to come here to process the head and to search the house for evidence.

Before Luo An could press the button on his phone, the sound of the main door opening suddenly came from above.

Reesi and Luo An exchanged glances without speaking, immediately raised their Glock 18s, and charged out in a defensive posture.

"FBI!"

"Freeze!"

The person who appeared before them was not Jorgen Landry but a middle-aged white woman.

Seeing the weapons in Luo An and Reesi's hands, the white woman quickly dropped the bag in her hand and, with a face full of terror, raised her hands:

"I'm the caretaker here!"

A few minutes later, Luo An and Reesi successfully verified the caretaker's identity and confirmed she wasn't lying.

After briefly calming the caretaker down, Luo An started asking questions related to Jorgen Landry.

The caretaker didn't know much about Jorgen Landry, only coming to the house at fixed times each day to assist Jorgen Landry's mother with hygiene issues; the rest of her time was spent working in other people's homes.

As for Jorgen Landry's mother always sleeping, the caretaker indicated that was because she had some mental issues and needed continuous medication, and the side effect of the medicine was deep sleep.

After hearing the caretaker's story, Luo An continued to ask:

"When Jorgen Landry hired you as a caretaker, did he specify any requirements in advance?"

"There were indeed."

The caretaker nodded, Jorgen Landry had said beforehand that aside from his mother's room, the bathroom, and the kitchen, she was not allowed in the other rooms.

Such requirements didn't bother the caretaker; with over a decade of experience, she had seen even stranger demands.

Hearing this, Luo An suddenly remembered that he had been called to the basement by Reesi earlier and had not had the chance to search Jorgen Landry's room yet.

After quickly instructing the caretaker, Luo An and Reesi immediately stood up and went upstairs.

The room on the far right of the second floor was Jorgen Landry's bedroom, with a large bed and wardrobe, as well as a desk and a bookshelf.

After a thorough search, Reesi successfully found several Playboy magazines under the bed.

"F*ck!"

Seeing the white genetic material in the magazines, Reesi's face turned sour, and he cursed under his breath, quickly tossing the magazines aside.

Feeling unclean, Reesi took a deep breath, turned around, and saw Luo An was carefully examining the bookshelf.

"What's up, Luo An."

Wiping his hands with a tissue, Reesi hurriedly asked:

"What did you find?"

"Yeah."

Luo An nodded; he had discovered that the bookshelf could be moved.

Reesi's eyes lit up, hurrying to move the desk aside while Luo An took the opportunity to pull the bookshelf outwards with force.

A safe and a whiteboard plastered with photos suddenly appeared before them.

There were many photos on the board, but only six main characters, four males and two females.

Carolina Bellot was one of the females, and her photo now had a big red cross through it.

In addition, three of the male photos also had large red crosses.

It's not hard to see that those three are most likely dead at the hands of Jorgen Landry.

"Shit!"

"Fuck!"

Seeing this, Reesi's expression changed, and Luo An cursed under his breath, immediately pulling out his phone to call the Unit 5 investigation team.

The identities of the three male victims can be checked later, the priority is to quickly find out the exact identities of the remaining man and woman in the pictures who haven't been marked with a red cross.

"Son of a bitch!"

In the office area of Unit 5, William cursed furiously with a furrowed brow, but he quickly identified the man and woman.

"Luo An, the woman's name is Jin Mola-Kala. She's one of the prison guards."

"Good!"

Hearing William's words, Luo An continued to ask:

"Where is she now? Can we get in touch with her?"

The several technicians in Unit 5 were typing furiously on their keyboards, nearly producing afterimages, and seconds later, William slammed the table angrily:

"Shit!

Jin Mola-Kala was shot in a street shooting half an hour ago and died on the spot!"

"Half an hour ago?!"

Hearing this, Reesi's expression turned even grimmer. Just as he was about to speak, his phone in his pocket suddenly rang.

Glancing at Reesi, Luo An continued to ask:

"What about the man in the remaining picture? What's his name? What's his identity?"

"His name is Bai Qianbaisi."

Before William could answer, Mona, sitting not far from him, immediately answered loudly:

"He's an NYPD police officer.

He was put on administrative leave recently because he killed an armed criminal on the street."

Luo An nodded, just about to speak again, when Reesi suddenly stepped forward, patted his shoulder, and pointing to his phone said:

"The call is from Reesi; she says she couldn't reach you.

Edwin Miller in the hospital is one hundred percent certain that the man who bought the guns is Jorgen Landry!"

"Nicely done!"

Patting Reesi's shoulder forcefully, Luo An continued to ask his phone:

"Mona, where does Officer Bai Qianbaisi live?"

Having obtained the exact address of the police officer's home, Luo An stood thinking for a few seconds, turned around, tore the photos of six people off the whiteboard and stuffed them into his pocket, then loudly commanded over the phone:

"First, immediately dispatch SWAT officers to the house I'm standing in, to stake out Jorgen Landry!

Second, Mona, you and Reesi go now to the crime scene where prison guard Jin Mola-Kala was shot and killed, check the surveillance footage in the area, look for Jorgen Landry's figure!

Third, issue an arrest warrant for Jorgen Landry immediately, let every NYPD officer on duty know his face!

Fourth, Jorgen Landry's next target is very likely Officer Bai Qianbaisi.

Reesi and I are going to Qianbaisi's house now; have a SWAT team follow us, we'll meet there!"

Hearing Luo An's commands, all the agents in Unit 5 and Reesi shouted in unison:

"Understood!!!"

"Good."

Luo An nodded in satisfaction, hung up the phone, and immediately took Reesi to the SUV.

There were two NYPD patrol officers near the house, the nanny and the house were temporarily left to them.

Qianbaisi's house was some distance from here, but thanks to Luo An's driving skills, the SUV quickly arrived at his home.

"Hello."

Unit 5 had already contacted Bai Qianbaisi in advance, seeing Luo An and Reesi armed to the teeth walking out of the car, he hurriedly welcomed them into his home.

"Hello."

The SWAT team would take a long time to get here; Luo An briefly greeted Qianbaisi, immediately taking out the six photos from his pocket, briefly outlining the case situation, he asked:

"Officer Qianbaisi, can you think of anything?"
