Chapter 153: Summoning!!
"3 days left, 3 more days and we will go inside that dungeon. Brace yourselves."
Everyone was sitting inside the shelter with food in the middle, the food comprised of the normal meat that they had grilled on a heated rock for a change.
"I think we are mostly ready. For this time, we will be needing everything that we couldn't at that time. This includes cooked food that Haley will help us store and the utensils to drink or eat at any time if needed." John said with seriousness, from the last time, the group had learned about many things that they had to either correct or act on to try in making things better than before.
"We will also need small bottles or something to store the potions."
"Yeah, potions are very necessary, I will contact Daryl and ask him to make something.:"
The discussion furthered and many other important topics got talked about so that there would be no mistake this time.
The groups had been training diligently with no one who was dilly-dallying with their specific roles for the shelter and the individual training.
Haley who had just confirmed to have the unarmed combat skill was doing pretty well. In one of her sparring sessions, she was even faring well for about 3 minutes before Lucas kicked her to defeat.
Her proficiency was now much better than before.
With the unarmed combat already at level 2 with 55% of proficiency and it was only possible in this short amount of time due to the extended time she gave to her training with the others and the diligence that was paying off.

When the whole group had in fact, discussed about almost everything, they all left to their own work until only Lucas and Sarah were left.
"Alright, have you started with your electricity summoning?" Lucas asked with skepticism.
He already knew the answer as Lucas had asked Bill to secretively tell him everything about Sarah's skills again.
It was then that he found out that the conjuring skill was still in its level 1 phase and Lucas couldn't have it.
"I am trying to but whenever I activate it, this happens..." Sarah said and moved her hand up, her eyes closed when soon Lucas could feel that the mana inside of her was in turmoil until a circle with an unknown script written on it summoned over her small hand and enlarged.
Just before Lucas could feel that something was going to come out, the circle that levitated over her arm and shone in white vanished without any notice and that was when Sarah opened her eyes too.
"My whole mana storage is empty and nothing got conjured, the proficiency only got up to 5% in this whole time which seems good enough already."
"It seems good but you are also forgetting that the skill is only level 1! it's supposed to be fast and reach level 2 where things start slowing down. And if it's a problem of mana, let me fix that up for you without trouble."
Lucas said and went inside teh storage from where he got out in a minute with a metallic staff in his hand.
"Oh!! The mana staff!" Sarah exclaimed with joy when she saw the equipment yet Lucas read through her eyes which told him that she already knew.
Lucas knew why Sarah had not asked for the mana staff till now, he knew that it was because Sarah had already taken a lot of help from Ella so asking for her equipment too sounded like asking for too much.
Lucas could only guess this much but at the end of the thought, there was nothing wrong as he had given the staff to her now when she needed it.
"Thank you, Lucas. I really appreciate it," Sarah said with genuine gratitude, taking the staff from him.
"No problem at all. We're a team, right? We help each other out," Lucas replied with a reassuring smile.
As Sarah took the staff in her hands, she could feel the difference immediately.
Extra mana seemed to flow inside her body, responding to her intentions with greater precision.
"I should drink some mana potion."
After she was done drinking a full cup of mana potion and meditation to help give the full attention of the body to absorbing the liquid quickly.
Her mana got back in only 10 minutes and all this time, Lucas was training with the first technique of the body strengthening book."
"I will try again now." Sarah said while ignoring the fact that Lucas's shirt was stuck to his skin displaying his body's curves that made her gulp hard.
Lucas took time off and sat near her in order to look at this new skill in its first activation.
Sarah without any conversation closed her eyes and let the skill activate once again only this time, there was a mana staff in her other hand.
The circle with the unknown runes began to appear over her hand again.
This time, Sarah's flow of mana to the runic circle seemed to be better than before, and the circle expanded without the troubles she had experienced before.
The script on the circle glowed, and she felt a surge of energy as if something was about to materialize.
However, just as before, the circle suddenly disappeared, and the mana dissipated.
Sarah opened her eyes, a mix of frustration and determination in her expression. "It was close... but I still can't get it to fully manifest the being inside."
"You know whats inside?" Lucas asked, his curiosity got picked up yet again.
"Yeah, after I got the skill, the basic knowledge came with it too, if I were to completely make the circle and then hold it for a while, an electric elemental will come out of the lowest grade."
"Ohh, then you should hurry and make this elemental come out. Let's see what it can do."
"I don't think I can do it right now, Lucas..."
Lucas patted her on the back reassuringly.
"You're making progress, you just keep practicing until you can't. That's the motto I am trying to hammer inside everyone's mind."
Sarah thought that what he said sounded dirty yet she didn't react as Lucas was clueless about it.
"Yeah, at least I won't give up." Sarah took a deep breath, steadying herself.
Lucas smiled. "That's the spirit!"
As the two of them continued to chat and share moments of bonding, the rest of the shelter's occupants began to settle down for the night, their minds filled with a mixture of anticipation and anxiety for the upcoming journey into the dungeon.
For the next few hours, Sarah continued practicing her skill under Lucas's gaze.
He gave her pointers on how to keep pushing her mana in order to get the result and how to maintain focus.
Slowly but surely, Sarah began to improve. The circle appeared more consistently, and she could feel the sensation of energy becoming more stable.
They had to shift outside the shelter as the others had to sleep in order to have a fresh mind for tomorrow.
In these days, no one really got tired enough to actually have a sound sleep but sleep still felt like something they had to get and which was mandatory according to the previous world's standards, so they were trying to do things 'normally'.
Sarah tried the skill yet again after countless previous tries yet her confidence didn't dwindle at all.
It was because, with each skill fail, she was still getting a lot of proficiency percentage which had already brought her level 1 skill to the brim to convert into a level 2 one.
This time, the circle formed over her hand more smoothly, and the glow was more pronounced. The air around her crackled with energy.
Lucas watched with anticipation as the circle expanded, and this time, it didn't vanish.
It continued to grow until it was about the size of a basketball.
The runes on the circle glowed brightly, and Sarah's eyes widened as she felt a surge of an unknown power coursing through her veins.
And then, with a flash of electric blue light, something materialized within the circle. It was a small orb of crackling electricity, hovering above her palm.
Sarah's heart raced with excitement and accomplishment. She had successfully conjured her first electrical manifestation.
Lucas applauded, his smile wide. "You did it, Sarah! You summoned something!!!"
Lucas couldn't believe it, he was going to pat her shoulder but seeing Sarah's state, he decided to hurry toward looking at the being's description.
He quickly thought of how strong it was and what it was, making a screen full of texts open in front of him.

Weak Electric Orb Elemental

Lucas read through it and also felt extremely satisfied, even if the being was clearly vanishing out of existence, Lucas had the log in his system's record now to look at again later.
The orb od electricity didn't even look like a being at all, it was just a ball of visible air that crackled with electricity the same as the ones that come out of his sword.
