Chapter 1405: Different Abilities

The surge of spiritual energy was indeed stronger than before. Arthur seemed to grow more capable of tapping into his reserves of spiritual energy as time went on. However, he admitted that his control was still lacking.

"Such a waste," he muttered to himself as he felt the spiritual energy scatter from his fingertips, unable to control it. If there was a stat for his spiritual energy, he was sure it would be infinite.

A small circle formed on the ground in front of him. The ashen yellowish grass turned green under the excess spiritual energy, forming the circular shape that became ethereal. Arthur heaved a sigh of relief as the gateway to the Spirits Realm opened.

"Seeker of the mortal world," said a voice from within the portal, reminding Arthur of the first time he entered the Spirits Realm. "Your entry is allowed, and all those who dare come with you."

Arthur smiled as the white door appeared on the ground, just like the previous time. However, he wasn't here to kill someone inside the Spirits Realm but to find that same person. Diana had told him that Gala took refuge in the Spirits Realm after helping the princess encase herself in ice.

"I can't wait to meet her again," Arthur muttered to himself as memories flooded his mind. He was here in the same spot as he was two years ago, but in an entirely different world. At that time, he had no strength to call his own. Things were different now. "We can go— oh."

Arthur turned to call for Tiara, only to find her sprawled on the ground the same as the other elves. Although she resisted for a little while, it seemed that no human could withstand the pressure of his spiritual energy.

"Excuse me for this, princess. Just don't tell Yuran," Arthur said as he picked her up, throwing her over his shoulder and walking into the gate. "I wonder if the Spirits Realm is still as I imagined it would be."

A lightweight feeling overtook Tiara as she felt like she was floating in space. Her eyes remained shut, but her consciousness was jolted awake by an ancient call. As she opened her eyes slowly, she found a sky filled with auroras.

"Is this heaven?" she muttered to herself as she tried to rise, only to realize that she had no arms. Tiara panicked as her neck snapped to the ground. "What is this? Where is my body?"

A conjecture of green energy, like a mist, condensed to form her body. It lacked arms and legs, but they formed the moment she thought about them. Tiara was surprised as she tried to push herself only to feel her hand passing through the clouds beneath her.

"Am I a ghost now?" Tiara muttered. "Can I float?"

As the idea of floating came to her mind, Tiara found herself levitating in the air. Her legs floated with her without touching the clouds. Then, she looked around. She was underneath a sky filled with beautiful colors that danced like curtains. Beneath her were infinite clouds, which stretched as far as her eyes could see. "Is that a mountain?" Tiara questioned as she looked at the large structure next to her. It was a golden mountain that seemed to pierce through the skies. "Wait… Arthur isn't here…"

"I'm right here," said a voice, booming through the sky. Tiara flinched as she looked around, searching for him. "I'm right next to you."

"Next to me?" Tiara asked.

Tiara could see nothing but clouds and the golden mountain next to her. As she looked for Arthur, the mountain shifted and began turning. It began lowering itself toward her, and Tiara stared at the summit with confusion.

"How are you feeling?" asked the giant creature which turned out to be a humanoid figure rather than a mountain. Its sheer size was enough for anyone to mistake it for a mountain. Tiara felt like an ant compared to it.

"Arthur? Is that you? You are…"

"I guess my spiritual energy increased after I awakened both wrath and my domain," Arthur muttered before sighing. "Let me try something."

Tiara watched as Arthur shifted, floating in the sky. His body began to shrink as the golden energy turned thicker and brighter. She watched him turn from a mountain to a hill, and eventually to a humanoid figure as tall as her.

Arthur looked like the sun given form. His aura was overbearing, and his form seemed barely able to contain the vast spiritual energy he had. Tiara could feel herself free and light, but he seemed troubled.

"Are you alright with this form?" she asked.

"A little hard to get used to," Arthur said, looking around. "But I will get used to it. Are we… above the clouds?"

"That seems to be the case," Arthur said as he looked around. "This world seems a little… different. The last time I came here, I found myself inside a white room, not the infinite clouds."

"Did something change?" asked Tiara in confusion as she looked around. "Where are we?"

"All seekers find themselves in the Infra Layer," Arthur said. "There are five of them in total: Celestial, Skyey, Earthen, Infra, and Abyssal."

"What makes you think we are in the Infra Layer?"

"That's just the rule. We find ourselves in the Infra Layer, and we need to find ascension points to enter the higher layers. It looks a little different, but it should be the same as before."

Tiara was silent before she floated toward the edge of the clouds. She peeked from above to see an infinite mountain range, filled with creatures of ethereal light, right below them. "I can see a path through the mountain range."

"Wait… how can you float like that?" asked Arthur in confusion. Tiara turned to him with equal confusion. "You are not touching the clouds."

"Isn't that normal? I'm a ghost, after all."

"Then, why can't I float?" Arthur asked, his golden figure tilting its head and looking at the ground. "I couldn't float the last time I was here either."

"What can you do, then?" asked Tiara. Arthur was silent before he raised his hand and chains sprouted out like a flower. They were infinitely long and could expand far beyond. "There you have it. We each have different abilities in this world."
