Kwabena greeted everyone in the house including his siblings after coming home right from school. He was usually the first person to exit from school when the closing song is sung on the speaker.
Kwabena, go and buy nails for me.
Go to the store beside Sister Afia,the Koko(porridge) seller and tell them you are buying 6 inches nail,instructed Grandpa Kofi.
Kwabena has always feared Grandpa Kofi so he could not say he was tired.
Grandpa was a very friendly and nice person. He always and play,joke and share the things he have with his the children but when he becomes angry,everyone in the whole community trembles.
There is not a single thing that Grandpa cannot do.
He is the electrician of the house
The plumber of the house
He is the mason of the house
He is also their teacher as he teachers the children all the subjects.
He fixes the tv, install Athenas etc
He has been very sick these days and could not climb ladders anymore. He was sent for checkup and was diagnosed with cancer.
Kwabena quietly removed his school bag and went of to buy the nails.
He met his 9 year old brother Daniel at the gate asking if he can accompany him to which he agreed.
They went and bought the nails for Grandpa and after that started playing football one on one infront of the house as they usually do after school and as usual, He smashed Daniel with a scoreline of 30 goals to 1.
2022 world cup was arriving and Kwabena could not wait for it.
There was only one month left for the world cup to start and he was support his country Ghana and Ronaldo's country,Portugal to win the prestigious cup.
Although he loves Ronaldo,if Ghana and Portugal were to meet he would support Ghana.

Three days has passed and Grandpa sickness was becoming worrisome as he could not move so he was sent to the hospital again.
The hospital became his new home for a whole week before he back home. They thought it would become better as he could now stand.
Kwabena even hoped he would be fully fit before the world cup start but that was not supposed to be.
One morning Grandpa went outside to urinate and was coming back when by his own words he felt pain in him stomach so they should come and help him.
Kwabena and his sister,Felicia helped him to his room and layed him on the floor of the hall.
The next morning he could not move his body without support.Sometimes they would carry him so that he could sit with his back on the sofa and listen to his favourite news channel.
If no one is home then Grandma Adwoa would help him.
Three days later Kwabena was reading his novels as usual when he heard Grandma shouting Daa!! Daa!!.
The whole family run to the spot to find Grandpa spitting out blood and which contained some of his intestines.
The kept coughing out black blood onto the rag.
When he finished,they helped him lye on his back. After they laid him on the floor his closed his eyes.
They thought he was resting seconds later they found out he wasn't breathing and even if he was breathing, then it was so negligible that they could not find his heartbeat.The women in the house were crying with some already mourning.
Kwabena was standing there not knowing what to do with his heart beating crazily.
Breathing was becoming hard for Kwabena.
Aunt Debbie performed CPR on him which helped him breathe one minute later.
Everyone released a long sigh as if a burden has been released.
Auntie kept telling Grandpa to not close his eyes but he could not keep his eyes open that long so his eyes eventually closed itself.
