Dong Jinsu chased into the living room, pointing at Xia Yujiang's nose and cursing vehemently.

With a crisp slap sound, Qin Yi glanced at Qin Wan'er, knowing it was the sound of a slap.

"Xia Yujiang, you coward, how dare you hit me? I'll fight you to the end!"

Instantly, chaos erupted in the living room.

"Brother, should we go and try to stop them?" Qin Wan'er asked softly, a bit frightened.

Qin Yi chuckled lightly, "Why stop them? Let them bite each other like dogs."

"But every time they finish an argument, they take it out on you."

Qin Yi was momentarily startled, having forgotten this point, but quickly dismissed it with a nonchalant smile, saying, "It doesn't matter, I'm used to it. Getting scolded a bit won't make me lose any flesh. Hurry up and eat, you'll need the energy to watch the show."

The fight in the living room lasted only two or three minutes, followed by Xia Yujiang cursing Dong Jinsu, calling her a shrew. Dong Jinsu cried as if being slaughtered, yelling that Xia Yujiang wasn't human or a real man.

This kind of drama played out every one or two months, and Qin Yi had grown accustomed to it.

It wasn't until the phone in the living room rang that their mutual curses came to a stop.

"You two losers, get over here!"

Shortly after, Dong Jinsu's unpleasant voice came from the living room.

"Brother." Qin Wan'er looked at Qin Yi worriedly, because every time they fought, they would vent their frustration on him.

Qin Wan'er's bright eyes dimmed slightly. In this house, how could anything good happen to her and her brother? She clenched her small fists, thinking if Xia Yujiang and Dong Jinsu bullied her brother again, she would threaten them with not marrying into the Liu Family.

Qin Yi and Qin Wan'er entered the living room, finding it in complete disarray, with broken ceramics and glass littering the floor. Xia Yujiang's dark face had several bloody marks. He was about the same height as Dong Jinsu but not as fat, and in a real fight, he would not come out on top.

Dong Jinsu, already having a plump and ample face, had a clear five-finger mark across it, both of them showing injuries.

But upon seeing Qin Yi and Qin Wan'er approach, the couple surprisingly acted in unison, with iron-blue complexions and resentful eyes, their teeth gnashing audibly.

"Why did the Liu Family suddenly call off the engagement?" Dong Jinsu shouted at Qin Yi.

Qin Yi looked completely surprised, though it was all an act.

Qin Wan'er froze momentarily, instinctively looking at Qin Yi. Hadn't her brother told her the Liu Family would definitely call off the engagement? Had it really come true? Did it have anything to do with her brother?

No matter what, not having to marry into the Liu Family made Qin Wan'er quite happy.

But this matter likely had nothing to do with her brother; he might have just been making a wild guess to comfort her. It turned out to be a lucky hit. After all, given his current state, he couldn't really do anything.

But the faces of Xia Yujiang and Dong Jinsu were as ugly as they could be, as if they had lost their parents. The Liu Family calling off the engagement meant they wouldn't support Xia Group anymore, so Xia Group was doomed, and their current life of luxury would be over.

"Why on earth would the Liu Family call off the engagement?" Xia Yujiang muttered to himself with a dark face.

Dong Jinsu suddenly looked at Qin Yi, saying, "You went out all day today. Did you go to the Liu Family? Did you do something?"

Qin Yi felt a slight stir inside, not expecting this woman to have some intuition. She had linked his outing today to the Liu Family's calling off the engagement being related to him. However, without any evidence, he would never admit to it.

"You give this cripple too much credit," Xia Yujiang said with full contempt on his face. "He's disabled; he can't even get to the Liu Family's door. What could he possibly do?"

Dong Jinsu thought so too, casting a hateful glance at Qin Yi and saying irritably, "So why did the Liu Family call off the engagement?"

Qin Yi's lips subtly curled; he had been pondering how to explain, yet Xia Yujiang inadvertently solved the problem for him.

"What are you dawdling for? Quickly find out why the Liu Family called off the engagement," Dong Jinsu shouted at Xia Yujiang.

Xia Yujiang's face turned angry, ready to start another tirade, but just then, Xia Yanbing returned.

Xia Yanbing entered, looking at the mess on the ground, and then at Xia Yujiang and Dong Jinsu's wounds. Her face, already weary, turned a shade paler.

"Bingbing, why are you back so early today? Did something happen at the company?" Xia Yujiang asked.

Xia Bingyan took a deep breath and said indifferently, "Uncle and Second Uncle came to the company, so I came back. Never mind, I should head back to the company."

Xia Yanbing was truly exhausted. Her uncle and second uncle had come to the company, planning to sell it to cut losses, arguing from morning until now. She couldn't stand it any longer, which was why she came home.

"Recently, the Liu Family got someone to check and said if they found a girl with a compatible horoscope to marry him, Liu Shao might wake up."

"Wan'er's birthdate is just right for Liu Shao's. So I planned to marry Wan'er off. As long as the Liu Family helps, our Xia Group can get through this crisis. But although everything was agreed upon, the Liu Family just called to say they were canceling the engagement. What can we do now?"

After hearing Dong Jinsu's explanation, Xia Yanbing's face turned rather grim.

"Bingbing, could you go and find out what happened? Why the Liu Family suddenly called off the engagement?" Xia Yujiang asked.

Xia Yanbing's breathing quickened, her voice tinged with anger, "Dad, Mom, Wan'er is only seventeen. She's still a child."

"Seventeen is not too young. Our Xia Family has raised them all these years. Now that Xia Family is in trouble, what's wrong with them making a little sacrifice?" Dong Jinsu said dismissively.

"Mom, are you doing this for Xia Family, or just to keep your lavish lifestyle? You're only telling me now about such a big issue? Luckily, the Liu family withdrew. Otherwise, were you planning to tell me only after Wan'er was married off?"

"Bingbing, how can you speak to your mom like that? Of course, it's for Xia Family," Dong Jinsu raised her voice, trying to cover her unease.
