Livestream: Awakening as Kaitō Kid, Shocking the World

Chapter 94: Chapter 94: Target – Island Nation’s Sakura Shrine!

The Dragon Nation's announcement that all Twelve Bronze Zodiac Heads had returned home sent shockwaves across the world.

Even before this, the reappearance of any single missing Zodiac Head drew massive attention. So for all twelve to return at once—it was absolutely earthshattering.

[Oh shit! The Dragon Head that was stolen from the Imperial Palace last night is already back in the Dragon Nation?!]

[Oh my god! The "anonymous donor" in that official Dragon Nation statement—don't tell me it wasn't Kaitō Kid?]

[Of course not! Definitely not! Our Dragon Nation is always honest and upright—I swear on my character!]

[Hahaha! I'll stake my own integrity too—no way Kaitō Kid donated the Twelve Bronze Zodiac Heads to the Dragon Nation!]

[Baka yarō! He dares to publicly flaunt a treasure he stole from our Imperial Palace?!]

Everyone expected the global media to cover the theft at the Island Nation's Imperial Palace.

But the fact that the entire set of Zodiac Heads had ended up back in the Dragon Nation—that shocked the whole world.

And soon enough, the comment sections were filled with clashing opinions and debates.

[Shit! These Zodiac Heads went missing from Britain and somehow ended up being "generously donated"?!]

[Baka! We Island Nation people are the real victims—Kaitō Kid stole three of the Twelve Zodiac Heads from us!]

[The Dragon Nation should reveal who this so-called donor is and give the world an explanation!]

[An explanation? Who the hell do we owe an explanation to?]

[Look at these colonial looters crying like victims now? Give me a break.]

When Zhang Yang woke up and checked his phone, the internet was already in an uproar.

"Shameless. Back when they pillaged and burned our land, I don't recall them giving us any damn explanation."

He sneered in disdain, then walked over to the window and pulled the curtains open. Warm sunlight bathed the room.

To his surprise, security personnel were still patrolling the streets below.

"Nakajima Misaki really has lost his mind this time."

It was nearly noon now. Zhang Yang called the front desk to request lunch delivery.

But before the hotel staff could even bring the food up, a new task notification came in.

[Ding!]

[New Task: Steal the Azure Dragon Imperial Jade Seal from the Island Nation's Sakura Shrine.]

[Reward: +1 Level to any skill of your choice.]

The Sakura Shrine was formerly the notorious Yasukuni Shrine—where the Island Nation enshrined war dead.

Many of those honored there had died during the invasion of the Dragon Nation—soldiers who committed horrific, inhumane acts.

"To keep the Azure Dragon Imperial Jade Seal in the Sakura Shrine… These bastards never gave up their thieving ways."

Meanwhile, inside a hidden chamber in the Imperial Palace, the emperor of the Island Nation sat in a chair, his face dark with fury as he glared at Nakajima Misaki.

"You let him steal the Twelve Zodiac Heads, Nakajima! You pigheaded fool—you worthless sack of trash!"

"The whole world is laughing at us. If you let Kaitō Kid escape the Island Nation… don't even think about showing your face again!"

Nakajima Misaki bowed deeply, gritting his teeth.

"Yes, Your Majesty! I will do everything in my power to catch Kaitō Kid!"

The emperor's expression turned even colder.

"Remember—he must be captured alive!"

"As long as we get him to admit he gave the Zodiac Heads to the Dragon Nation, we'll have a reason to demand them back."

"Without his confession, the Dragon Nation will never admit the Zodiac Heads came from him."

Nakajima nodded hard again.

"Yes!"

"Understood, Your Majesty!"

The emperor of the Island Nation waved a hand, signaling Nakajima Misaki to leave.

Just as Nakajima was about to exit the secret chamber, he received a message from his agents. His expression shifted instantly.

He quickly opened Kaitō Kid's social media page—and sure enough, a brand-new post had just gone live.

"History cannot be changed. Tonight, I will visit the Sakura Shrine. Prepare yourselves."

As usual, it came with a photo of the calling card.

The emperor, already furious just from seeing Nakajima, grew even more irritated. He was about to bark at him to get out when Nakajima spoke first.

"Your Majesty, Kaitō Kid has just posted a new calling card."

"He's still in the Island Nation. His target tonight is the Sakura Shrine!"

The emperor's expression turned solemn and intense.

"Baka! The Sakura Shrine enshrines the spirits of our fallen warriors!"

"Damn that Kaitō Kid. Gather your men and prepare. You must catch him tonight!"

The Sakura Shrine held immense symbolic value in the eyes of the Island Nation's people.

The Imperial Palace had already been disgraced. If they failed to protect the Sakura Shrine as well, it would not only become another global laughingstock, but also bring harsh condemnation from their own citizens.

Nakajima Misaki felt the pressure mounting.

If Kaitō Kid escaped again tonight, he wouldn't just lose face—he'd become a national disgrace.

As the so-called top agent, he would be publicly ridiculed and shamed.

"Baka, Kaitō Kid… this time, it's you and me to the death."

He refused to fail again. He would not allow himself to.

While people were still reeling from the Zodiac Head incident, Zhang Yang's new post threw gasoline on the fire.

[Holy crap! He's targeting the Sakura Shrine now? Kaitō Kid really wants to make the Island Nation suffer!]

[Oh my god! That shrine is sacred to them—it honors their war dead!]

[WTF? Isn't Kaitō Kid just a thief? Why is he going after a shrine now?!]

[If I were Kaitō Kid, I'd just burn that place to the ground. The atrocities their "war heroes" committed in the Dragon Nation… they deserve to rot in the deepest level of hell.]

[They think war criminals deserve worship? Disgusting.]

History cannot be rewritten. Nor can hatred be erased.

This time, the comment section wasn't filled with sarcasm or jokes. No one even asked what Kaitō Kid was trying to steal. All that remained was the righteous anger of the Dragon Nation's citizens.

[Baka yarō! The brave spirits of the Sakura Shrine will ensure Kaitō Kid doesn't escape this time!]

[Shut up, you clown! Your Imperial Palace got robbed—by one man—and you dare bark now?!]

[Hilarious. If your emperor had actually been home last night, and Kaitō Kid were an enemy operative, your so-called "capture op" would've been a decapitation strike!]

[Shit… that's actually kind of true.]

[The louder they bark now, the harder they'll get slapped later. They never learn, do they?]

While users in the comment section were locked in verbal battles, none of them understood just how difficult the Sakura Shrine operation would be.

After an entire night of failed searches, Nakajima Misaki's guards and agents were both mentally and physically drained.

In their current state, they had no chance of catching Kaitō Kid.

So Nakajima had no choice but to request military backup.

This was no longer just a manhunt—it had escalated into a full-blown military operation.

And if they failed at the military level, then the Island Nation's last shred of dignity would be completely destroyed.
