Lookism (Fan fic)

Chapter 2: Ch 25 (Lookism reimagined)

Daniel rushed towards the girl who had just bought him in the charity auction. She was the same pretty and kind girl he had met in the convenience store. Does he need to date her now? Why did she went ahead and paid a whopping $5000, just to buy him? He needed answers and he needed them quick.

He stopped her just in the nick of time, immediately extending his gratitude he began to ask his questions when he was interrupted. "Do you think I bought you because I like you? Do not look down on others just because you are handsome" she said angrily. 'What was that?' thought Daniel. He stepped towards her to immediately clear up the air between them, when he felt a hand stopping him from reaching her. He looked up to see the man in the yellow shirt and spectacles. He ordered Daniel to step back, but he wasn't going to let go this easily. He was mad at himself. He quickly freed his arm surprising the man. In a flash, the man who went by the name of Gun, landed a Brazilian kick on his neck.

He fell down coughing heavily.

"Hey glasses! What do you think you are doing? I saw everything you punk" called out Vasco who had just witnessed everything.

"And who are you? His friend?" asked Gun.

"Yes. I am his friend" said Vasco. "You mess with him, you mess with me" he added when he was suddenly punched in the face.

"Impressive. Doesn't it hurt?" asked Gun as he saw Vasco who still stood there in place, unflinching but bleeding from his nose.

"Your glasses. Take them off" ordered Vasco.

"This school is really fun" said Gun as he removed his glasses, revealing a scar across the bridge of his nose and his pitch black eyes with pure white pupils and irises.

"Wait!" called Crystal in a frenzy, she knew that if Gun took out his glasses, it will not end well. But her pleas fell on deaf ears as Gun prepared to pommel down Vasco.

"You should listen to her you know" called out another voice from the distance. Gun, Crystal, Daniel and Vasco all turned to see who it was.

There smoking a cigarette stood Vin Jin. He had just went to the parking lot to have a quick smoke when he heard the commotion. He didn't want to interfere. But he had recognized the man who was causing the scuffle and he didn't want him around for long.

"Is it really you? I thought you would still be there, in your little paradise." said Gun grinning, he too had recognized him.

"Do not say that again." said Vin as he flicked away his cigarette. His tone was neutral, but carried a hint of anger.

"Why not? I never really fought him you know. I wasn't responsible for any of that, directly or indirectly. Although I would have liked to clash with him. From what I heard, he was really strong. Got me curious." said Gun.

'What were these two talking about? Strongest? Responsible for it? Did these two know each other?' thought Daniel.

"Please leave." requested Vin. He heaved a deep sigh. He could have just stayed out of this. Why did he meddle? Now this guy knows where he is. It might get troublesome later on. But well, he was too involved now.

"You have became so tame. It's truly a shame. No one would believe who you are now." said Gun with a smirk.

Still smiling to himself he got in the car with Crystal, who started scolding him for fighting like that, he didn't pay any attention to her, rather his mind was on something else as they drove off.

"Than... thank you, Vin Jin right?" stuttered Daniel as he got up, helping Vasco to sit on a sidewalk. "How did you know him?" he asked.

"Not your business." said Vin as he shut him off immediately and left, leaving Daniel and Vasco confused.

"I could beat you if we ever fought again. But him, I can never beat him" admitted Vasco as he held his nose.

Daniel wasn't surprised. He felt Gun's kick too and it was no joke. He just wondered how Vin and that guy knew each other. What was the meaning behind their conversation. But for now, he was just glad that the past misunderstandings he had with Vasco were cleared up.
