16: The White Tiger Job Center [IV]
Yuujin jumped forward — elbows tucked, arms swaying, feet light.
He landed, knees bent, body coiled like a spring.
No more defense.
This time, he had a reason to fight.
Tom Lee bent slightly, cracking his neck and clenching his fists.
He smiled, wolf-like. Hungry.
Then—
BOOM.
Like animals on instinct, both monsters charged.
Tom cocked his arm back, muscles bulging.
Yuujin did the same — his fist cut through the air like a missile.
BAMM!
Their punches collided — bone against bone.
Shockwaves rippled out from the point of contact.
Tiles cracked beneath their feet.
Neither man moved an inch.
Manager Kim's eyes widened.
He murmured to himself, "Yuujin Jin… twenty-one years old… withstood a punch from a man who can kill bears with one hit. Fascinating."
Their fists remained locked, trembling under the force.
Tom let out a low snicker.
Suddenly—
Yuujin's legs dipped.
Swoosh—
BAM!
A spinning back kick — straight into Tom Lee's solar plexus.
Tom brought his arms up just in time to block —
But the impact sent him skidding back.
His forearms throbbed.
Just for a moment — a flicker of pain.
He felt it.
The weight. The impact. The danger.
This was the man James Lee acknowledged?
An unknown entity, born from the shadows of Korea?
Tom Lee's grin widened, eyes shimmering with delight.
Manager Kim stood silent, stunned.
Yuujin's eyes — no longer lifeless — now burned.
Not with hatred.
Not with bloodlust.
But with purpose.
He lunged forward again — this time, a roundhouse kick aimed at Tom's head.
Tom ducked beneath it, chuckling, "Your principle—"
THUD!
Tom's knee shot up, targeting Yuujin's heart.
"—will get you killed in this world."
Yuujin twisted mid-air, blocked with his elbow, and immediately retaliated —
WHIP— BAM!
A high kick struck the side of Tom's head.
Tom stumbled.
Blood dripped from his nose.
From his mouth.
He stood back up, chuckling through the pain.
"With that kind of power," Tom said, "you could crush any top-tier fighter in Seoul."
Yuujin stared.
Silent.
Then he replied, voice low and cold, "If you're done yapping… why don't you start fighting seriously?"
Tom blinked.
Then laughed.
"Hah— Hahaha! This is gonna take a while."
FWUMP.
Yuujin rushed forward — fast.
Tom barely reacted before—
CRACK!
A downward elbow from Yuujin — sharp and precise — cut clean across Tom's forearm.
Blood poured down.
Tom didn't flinch.
He just punched.
BAM!
A downward diagonal blow cracked against Yuujin's guard.
Yuujin staggered but didn't fall.
He countered immediately with a low sweeping kick —
SWASH—
Tom's thigh bent unnaturally.
He growled.
They both moved at the same time—
BAAM—!!
Yuujin's cheek exploded from Tom's punch.
Tom's jaw cracked as Yuujin's elbow connected.
Both men skidded backward — opposite directions.
Blood.
Everywhere.
Yuujin's face was a mess — his nose running with blood, lips torn and bleeding.
Tom Lee's forearm dripped crimson.
His thigh pulsed in agony with every twitch.
Tom wiped blood from his mouth with the back of his hand.
Still smiling.
Yuujin clenched his fists tighter — eyes locked.
No hesitation. No fear.
Just resolve.
Manager Kim watched from the wall, unmoving.
No emotion on his face. Just silence.
Then he checked his watch.
5:01 PM.
He sighed.
"Looks like I'm working overtime today."
