Lord of Mysteries:Fire of Destruction

Chapter 412: Chapter 72: The Sun Happiness

'The Tarot Club has grown again!' Audrey's emerald eyes sparkled with happiness.

"Hello." Greeting the new member politely, she scrutinized him curiously with her gaze.

She quickly read some details through the hazy fog.

'Mr World seems reserved. He barely moves and keeps a straight face. I wonder where he's from. Loen? Intis? Or maybe he's from the Forsaken Land of the Gods too?'

'Another new member?' Alger was no longer bothered by this development, but he couldn't help narrowing his eyes at the newcomer.

'The World is the 22nd card of the tarot card at the same time as being the last. With The Fool symbolizing the beginning... Is there any relationship between the two?' The experienced captain quickly made a connection.

Looking more closely, the man glanced briefly at the red-haired man before focusing again on the new member.

For a second, Alger froze. He had found a problem!

'Wait... Mr. World is sitting next to Mr. Chariot! No new member has ever sat so close to him!'

Not even when the Tarot Club was founded had Chariot come any closer; the man always kept his distance from the rest and preferred to sit at the back of the table.

At first, Alger thought there must be a reason for this. The answer came almost a month later with the revelation that Chariot was the Blessed of the Scarlet Monarch and that God was an ally of The Fool and the hidden co-creator of the Tarot Club.

Realization struck the pirate, who looked at the new member with a chill.

'Perhaps... Could it be that Mr. World is the chosen one of Mr. Fool? That would explain the symbolism of his cards! If The Fool signified the beginning of the Tarot Club, then The World symbolizes the end as well as the specialty of the club!

'No hidden existence would use such symbolism in vain. That would mean that Mr. World is the blessed one Mr. Fool had mentioned to us during the events of the son of the True Creator!

'Finally, he has joined us? What could that mean? If the birth of the son of an Evil God did not provoke him to join us, what could make him do so this time? What future disaster is approaching?' Alger could barely contain the trembling of his hands.

With a Spectator at the meeting, he could not show weakness so openly, nor could he reveal that he had discovered the true identity of Mr. World as the Fool's chosen one.

'This is good... This may allow me to improve my place in the Tarot Club. If I manage to support Mr. World with what he is dealing with, then the trust that Mr. Fool has in me will increase, and I will be able to be trusted with more responsibilities and missions...'

Sighing a little and calming his beating heart, Alger nodded, greeting the man at the end of the table.

'A new member...' Fors discreetly looked at the man, a chill running through her body.

Noticing this as a warning of her Trickmaster spirituality, the woman shrank back slightly and looked suspiciously at The World.

'He feels strange... Cold and dark at the same time... It's as if he's hiding madness under that indifferent exterior... I must stay away from him.'

Having dealt with and had her fair share of experience with lunatics, Fors considered herself a professional at recognizing them.

Mr World scratched that itch.

Although the guy gave her a bad feeling, she couldn't help feeling slightly sorry for him. After all, he was now the closest to that madman.

'Good luck. You'll need it.' With that thought, she, too, gave him a simple greeting.

The Sun looked curiously at the new member as he greeted him, unable to help, feeling a little envious of where he was sitting.

'Why is Mr. World allowed to sit next to Mr. Chariot?'

Adryan, for his part, looked amused and pleased at the man next to him, resting his cheek against his knuckles, the river a little.

"So you're finally joining us. Blessed. Welcome."

'I seriously want to strangle him sometimes.' Klein felt his eyebrow twitching, but with his improved body control, he suppressed it.

Controlling his smurf account, the World nodded roughly and turned his head somewhat harshly. "Thank you, Mr. Chariot."

Alger, on his side, his eyelash and eyelid twitched violently—all his plans to capitalize on the World's special status sank to the bottom of the sea.

'That guy is the Mr Fool's blessed one!?' Dazed, Fors barely avoided letting her mouth hang open.

Why couldn't the blessed ones be normal people!

'The Fool's blessed…' With her lips slightly open, Audrey did not expect this development.

A question formed in her mind, and the young woman couldn't help but agree, 'How can Chariot always recognize when someone is special? Does he have a unique eye?

'In front of him, does secrets even mean anything?'

The World Klein looked around, and after a moment he said in a dry voice, "Mr. Fool said that I can give missions and ask for ingredients here, is that so?"

Usually, Audrey would have seriously reprimanded the new member, but learning of his status made her tongue go dead.

"That's right. But we'll have to wait patiently. Right now, it's Mr. Fool's reading time."

The young woman bowed elegantly at the top of the table, The Fool did not respond, he just watched everything that happened.

"..."

For a few moments, nobody said anything. No page of the Diary of Emperor Roselle was offered.

'This is normal. It was only a matter of time before the pages dried up. Waiting for a new one every Tarot Club is just asking to be disappointed...' Klein consoled himself, and after waiting a little longer, it was time for deals.

"A pirate function is coming up. It will be this Sunday, so if anyone has an order, we can discuss a commission." Alger quickly got into his business mode.

"I'm not looking for anything at the moment." Adryan shrugged disinterestedly, "Don't forget my previous order."

"Don't worry, Mr Chariot. I'll be looking." Hanged Man Alger nodded slightly and looked around.

"Excuse me, Mr. Hanged Man, I'm interested in placing an order." Audrey joined the conversation at the moment she saw fit.

Seeing that one of the wealthiest people was looking for something, Alger contained his relief and nodded at her.

"I'll do my best to find it. What are you looking for, Miss Justice?"

The woman smiled calmly and shook her head gently, "Excuse me if I could have a moment..."

Turning to look at Chariot, she smiled elegantly, her eyes shining crystal clear. "The mission was a complete success, Mr. Chariot. I await my payment."

"I thought you'd wait until the end, but no problem.' Adryan scratched his neck with a sigh.

After asking Mr. Fool for a pen and paper, he quickly wrote down the Psychiatrist's potion formula.

As soon as he placed the paper on the table, the paper disappeared and appeared before Audrey, who took the formula with her fingers slightly trembling.

<>

Sequence 7 Psychiatrist's Formula.

Main ingredients: The fruit of the Tree of Elders and A pair of eyes from a Mirror Dragon

Supplementary ingredients: 50 milliliters of Mirror Dragon's Blood…

<>

'Now I have the formulas for Sequence 8 and 7. All that remains is to digest the Spectator potion completely…' With the corners of her lips rising in satisfaction, the woman put down the note and returned to the Hanged Man.

"I'm looking for 10 milliliters of a Farsman Rabbit's spinal fluid. If you could get me this ingredient, I would greatly appreciate it, Mr. Hanged Man."

That was the last ingredient for her Telepathist potion; with how little her potion needed to be digested, Audrey was sure she could move on to Sequence 8 before the end of September.

"It's not a very rare ingredient, with the level of the function it should appear." Alger nodded and after doing a mental calculation, he quickly gave a price, 'Although it is not very rare, it is in considerable demand, 500 pounds would be to get it."

At such a cheap price, Audrey's response was quick, "Deal!"

"Mr. Hanged Man, my previous order stands. The Lavos Squid's Crystallized Blood." Fors also entered the exchange, not missing another opportunity for her ingredient.

'Rich people are the worst...' Klein regretted his condition a little and watched the Tarot Club go by.

Right now, he wasn't looking for any ingredients or looking for anything in particular.

He had not yet been able to experiment with his new powers or find his own rules of acting. Although he knew one, that of 'A magician never acts unprepared,' did not mean he knew the rest.

Therefore, he limited himself to observing...

Business quickly ended, and it was time for free conversation.

Audrey looked at Chariot at the end of the table and smiled gently at the man, "Mr. Chariot when you spoke about the opportunity to act, I must admit that I underestimated the results it would bring."

"Not only did I understand better what it means to be a Spectator, but I was also able to act and digest a very good part of my potion."

Rising from her seat, she gave an elegant curtsy, gripping the edges of her dress, "And not only that but thanks to your efforts, an evil man is going to pay the consequences of his actions.

"Thank you very much."

'Your sense of justice is to be applauded.' Laughing a little, Adryan waved his hand selflessly, "Please don't belittle yourself so much Miss Justice, these were our combined efforts, not just mine.

"Besides, your potion was digested so well is due to you and you alone. I had nothing to do with it; you making the most of the opportunity is your achievement; take pride in it."

'But I never once belittle myself. I was praising you...' Ignoring the beating of her eyelid, Audrey smiled sweetly and nodded, sitting back in her seat.

"Mr. Chariot! I want to thank you, too!" Sun's sudden voice startled Fors a little.

'What's wrong with him?!' The woman shouted annoyed in her mind.

Derrick smiled brightly and continued, "The sealed artifact you gave me has proven to be everything I hoped it would be. I can't wait to try it out on my expeditions outside the walls.

"With it in my hands, I'm sure I'll be able to get the contribution points needed to get the Doctor's potion formula along with the main ingredients pretty quickly!"

At his words, Adryan nodded calmly and said boredly, "Just make sure you come back safe and sound, Little Sun. The formula and ingredients will always come second to your life."

Blushing a little, the young man looked away and smiled sheepishly, "Hehe, excuse me, I got a little excited..."'

"No problem. Just control yourself a little more next time."

'What's going on here?' Fors frowned slightly and looked at the interaction between the two individuals with curiosity.

Since when had they been so close?

Observing Sun's status through her Spectator State, Audrey blinked in surprise at what she saw.

'Respect for superiors and the desire to be praised... Don't tell me that Mr. Sun admires Chariot?!'

Was the cultural difference in the City of Silver such that it was well-regarded to admire such a character?

Unaware of the thoughts of the other members, Sun Derrick laughed and nodded with a small smile.

"You don't have to worry about me getting hurt, Mr. Chariot. The expedition I'm leaving on will be led by Elder Lovia, she's an extremely powerful Beyonder almost at the level of a Demigod!

"She has always experienced problems because the pathway she belongs to seems to bring a certain madness, but recently, her mental state has improved a lot."

Smiling a little more, the young boy added happily, "She is a Sheperd with a powerful spirit at the level of a Demigod or at least very close to it. Unless we go deep into the darkness where the strongest monsters are, there is no way anything can happen to me!"
