Lord of the Time: I Can Reincarnate Infinitely

Chapter 371: 371: Omega Reflex

As Jeff saw the sword in his grandson's hand. A confused expression appeared on his face. He felt that the sword was very familiar but not familiar at the same time. 'T-this? Where did I see this sword? How come I feel that it has a similar appearance to the two swords that I gave him?'

Caleb saw his grandfather's face and he knew that he was having doubts on his mind. He didn't intend to hide it at all.

"Adam, my grandson. That sword seems a bit familiar to me. Did you fuse the two swords that I gave to you and improve their quality?"

Jeff was a smart man. He knew how Adam's fusion powers work by now. After all, fusing disease to other people was incredible enough. Who could say that Adam can't fuse other things?

"Indeed. I'm grateful because you gave me excellent raw materials that I really need. I didn't have a sword for a long time since I don't really want to wield trashy swords." Caleb caressed the tip of his sword with his fingers.

He could feel that if he put just a bit of pressure. The sword would be able to cut him. That's how sharp the blade is after the fusion of two A-rank!

Jeff let out a soft chuckle. "Well, the quality of weapons we wield really becomes more and more important as our strength increases. Wielding a weapon that is even weaker than us would just hold us back and maybe even become the reason for us to lose in a battle. A stronger weapon, or those with quality that matched our strength, however, can boost our strength significantly."

"A sword can break once it clashes with higher force or matter that is heavier or stronger than it. In our real, we usually fight beings with the strength of Saints and Transcendents. A weak sword would just become a baggage."

"This sword of mine is enough for me to kill enemies at the same level." Caleb agreed with Jeff's words. "But I doubt that it will be able to do anything to you. At the very least, this sword of mine has reached an A-rank peak in terms of quality and I think that only those S-rank weapons would have the hope to injure you."

"That might be the case... But using that sword in our sparring with increase your chances of inflicting more damage to me."

"I won't disagree with that."

Caleb took a deep breath. Suddenly, everything around Caleb became purplish. The very hills they were standing. The very air that they breathe.

'What's happening?' With interest, Jeff felt that the ground on his feat became sticky and bouncy. Then, an idea appeared in his mind. 'A domain power? Weird... It's not an elemental one.'

As Caleb wielded his newfound domain power, he focused his energy on restraining Jeff within its confines. The rocks around them began to shift and warp, transforming into ethereal purple chains that snaked around Jeff's body, attempting to immobilize him.

Jeff, however, proved to be more than a match for the makeshift restraints. With a mere flex of his muscles, he shattered the chains with ease, breaking free from their grasp in a display of raw strength.

Impressed by the durability of the chains, Jeff couldn't help but acknowledge their effectiveness. "Well done, Adam. Those chains would pose a formidable challenge to anyone not in the Saint Realm," he remarked, his voice filled with genuine admiration.

Caleb's face lit up with pride at his grandfather's praise. "Thank you. I've been working hard to master my powers, and it's gratifying to see them in action," he replied, his determination shining through.

As they stood amidst the remnants of the shattered chains, Caleb couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction. His domain power had proven to be a valuable asset, even against an opponent as formidable as Jeff.

Looking ahead, Caleb knew that there was still much to learn and explore about his abilities. With Jeff's guidance and support, he was confident that he would continue to grow stronger and overcome any challenges that lay in his path.

As Caleb unleashed a flurry of punches at blinding speed, Jeff effortlessly dodged each strike with graceful precision. Despite the ferocity of Caleb's assault, Jeff seemed to anticipate every move, weaving between the punches with minimal effort.

Impressed by Jeff's flawless evasion, Caleb couldn't help but marvel at his grandfather's skill. "How do you do it, Grandpa? Your movements are so fluid like you're not even thinking," he remarked, his voice tinged with admiration.

Jeff flashed Caleb a knowing smile as he continued to dance around the barrage of attacks. "It's called Omega Reflex," he explained, his voice calm and composed amidst the chaos of their spar. "It's a state of being where one's body moves instinctively, without the need for conscious thought."

As they continued to exchange blows, Jeff elaborated further on the concept of Omega Reflex. "To achieve Omega Reflex, one must attain a state of absolute calm," he explained, his movements fluid and effortless. "There can be no distractions, no cluttered thoughts. Only tranquility and focus. I only achieved this state after living for thousands of years and pushing myself fighting countless stronger opponents and life and death battles."

Caleb absorbed Jeff's words with keen interest, his mind racing with the possibilities. Could he too achieve such a state of clarity and mastery? With Jeff's guidance, he felt that anything was possible.

As they sparred, Caleb focused on clearing his mind, pushing aside any distractions or doubts that threatened to cloud his thoughts. With each strike and parry, he sought to achieve that elusive state of calm and tranquility.

Slowly but surely, Caleb felt himself entering a state of heightened awareness, his senses sharpening and his movements becoming more fluid. With each passing moment, he inched closer to entering the entry stage of Omega Reflex, drawing upon the lessons imparted by his grandfather. Well, kidding aside, he knew that it would take him a thousand years even with his abnormal soul power.

As their spar drew continued, Caleb felt a sense of exhilaration coursing through his veins. Though he had yet to fully master Omega Reflex, he knew that he was on the right path. With dedication and perseverance, he was confident that he would one day reach the pinnacle of martial prowess, just like his grandfather before him.
