The air in the dark realm was thick with a heavy silence. The world beyond their grasp lay far below, unaware of the looming disaster that would soon unfold. At the center of this otherworldly space stood four ancient beings, their forms both terrifying and magnificent in their sheer power. They were not mere gods—these were the Deities of Life, and their rule stretched beyond the mortal realm, into the very fabric of existence itself.

At the head of the council was Life, a being radiant with boundless energy. His presence was warm, yet unyielding, as if he carried the life force of every living creature within his. His voice, when it came, was calm but resonated with a terrifying certainty.

"We have waited long enough," Life said, his eyes glowing with an otherworldly light. "The time is ripe. Ryuta has discovered too much. He knows the secret of the Burning Incident."

His fingers gently caressed a flame that flickered in the air before his, its light casting eerie shadows across his face. The other three deities watched in silence.

Destiny, a figure draped in robes woven from threads of light and shadow, nodded slowly. His eyes glimmered with an inscrutable wisdom, his voice soft yet commanding. "The boy is not as ignorant as we had hoped. His investigation into the burning incident… it has become dangerous for our plans."

"His defiance must be extinguished," Fate interjected, her voice cold, like the wind before a storm. She stood with arms crossed, her pale blue skin almost translucent in the darkened space. "He seeks truth, but truth is not a gift we give to mortals. He does not understand what the Burning Incident truly means."

Life turned to Fate, a thin smile curling at his lips. "Do you think he will ever understand? It is not his place to know. But his knowledge is dangerous. He has seen the pattern, the way the fire consumes its victims. He is too close to unraveling the mystery, and that cannot be allowed."

Death, the fourth deity, stood apart from the others, his form dark and shrouded in shadows. His eyes were black voids, and his voice was nothing but a whisper, like the sound of the final breath of someone doomed. "You are all focused on the boy," Death murmured, his voice like the creaking of a door that had not been opened in centuries. "But none of you have considered the true purpose of the Burning Incident. It is not just to punish those who defy us. It is to remind all mortals of their fragility… and to ensure the balance remains intact."

Life scowled at Death, his expression a mixture of disdain and curiosity. "You always speak in riddles, Death. This is not the time for your cryptic philosophy. The boy must be silenced. His life must be snuffed out before the truth escapes from his grasp."

Destiny stepped forward, his presence like the calm before a tempest. "We should not act hastily. Ryuta's life is tied to something greater. He may be a threat now, but there are forces at play we cannot yet fully comprehend. He is tied to the Burning Incident in ways we do not fully understand, and there is a ripple in his existence. Killing him too soon could disrupt the delicate balance we've maintained for eons."

Fate narrowed her eyes at Destiny, her icy demeanor never faltering. "You are too cautious. This boy is no more than a mortal. And mortals are expendable." Her voice carried the weight of centuries of control over fate itself, and yet, even her certainty seemed to waver under the scrutiny of Destiny's words.

Life was silent for a moment, his eyes distant as though gazing beyond the mortal realm. Finally, he spoke, his voice dark with resolve. "Perhaps it is true that Ryuta's life holds deeper significance. But if we act now, we can twist his fate, direct his path, and ensure he never becomes a threat. The boy's curiosity will be his downfall."

Death stepped forward, his presence a shadow that seemed to stretch out over the entire realm. "Fate and Destiny… they both have their roles to play, but they often forget the true nature of the game. It is not simply about manipulating lives, or controlling the flow of time. It is about the end. And Ryuta will learn that in time. All things must end, even him."

His words hung in the air, each one a reminder of the inevitable. There was a finality in Death's tone, a certainty that the others could not dispute.

"But how do we proceed?" Life asked, his voice now tinged with both determination and uncertainty. "We know he's close to the truth. The Burning Incident is an ancient power, one tied to the very foundation of existence. If Ryuta were to expose it, everything we've worked for would unravel."

Fate's icy gaze softened for a moment, and he spoke with a quiet menace. "We will lead him into the fire. Make him believe he has control over his own fate, make him chase the truth, until he is consumed by it. When the time is right, we will strike, and he will burn just like the others. There will be no more questions, no more defiance."

Destiny's eyes glinted with a trace of caution. "And what of the others who might uncover the truth as well? There are whispers of those who know of the Burning Incident, people who have seen the flames before. We cannot be certain that Ryuta is the only one who poses a threat."

Death gave a hollow laugh, a sound that echoed like a distant bell tolling for the dead. "Let them seek the truth. Let them try. But in the end, all will burn."

Life clenched his fists, his radiant aura intensifying. "Then it is settled. We will target Ryuta. He is the key to ensuring our control remains unchallenged. We will guide him toward his doom, and when the flames consume him, we will extinguish his knowledge along with him."

The room was thick with an unnatural stillness as the four deities stood united in their plan. A plan centuries in the making, the flames of their ambition burning brightly as they prepared to shape the fate of Ryuta.

Outside, the mortal world continued to turn, unaware of the dark storm that was about to descend upon it. Ryuta was unaware, for now. But soon, he would be drawn into their web of fire and death. Soon, the truth he sought would be the very thing that consumed him.

And the gods, the deities of Life, Destiny, Fate, and Death, would watch, as they always had, as the flames did their work.
