Love Between a Lunar Vampire and a Luna Witch

Chapter 13: Chapter Thirteen: Meeting Roommate Cemre Dennerly, Part Two

All Souls Dorm Room 4J, 2009

Cemre Dennerly stepped into the medium-sized bedroom, her heart racing with a mix of excitement and nervousness. The room was bright and inviting, painted in a soft shade of lavender that added a calming touch to the atmosphere. To her right, a window stretched from floor to ceiling, allowing sunlight to flood in and illuminate the space.

The wooden floorboards creaked slightly under her feet, but they only added to the room's charm. A cozy twin bed was positioned against the far wall, adorned with a fluffy white comforter and a few vibrant throw pillows that added a pop of color. Next to the bed, a small nightstand held a lamp with a warm glow, perfect for late-night reading.

In one corner, a sturdy desk sat beneath the window, its surface cluttered with a few scattered books, a laptop, and a small potted plant that seemed to thrive in the sunlight. Cemre could already envision herself studying there, with the view outside providing inspiration as she worked on future projects.

Cemre took a moment to appreciate her surroundings before turning to her companion. "Would you like to sit down and get to know each other better?" she asked, gesturing toward the cozy couch and chair.

"Sure," Lauren replied, settling into the couch and glancing around the room with a smile.

"Sure," Margaret echoed, taking a seat in the chair, her eyes sparkling with curiosity.

Cemre smiled at her companions. "So, where are you both from?" she asked, eager to learn more about them.

Lauren looked thoughtful for a moment before answering, "I'm originally from Sharonville, Ohio."

Margaret chimed in, "I grew up in Xenia, Ohio. But I've been living in Reading, Ohio, the past few years." Cemre nodded, enjoying the conversation as they continued to share stories about their hometowns.

Lauren then turned to Cemre, her eyes glinting with interest. "What about you, Cemre? Where are you from?" she asked, genuinely curious to learn more about her.

Cemre's smile widened as she replied, "I'm from Istanbul, Turkey. It's a city full of history and culture." The group listened intently, eager to hear more about her experiences and the contrasts between their hometowns.

Lauren nodded, enjoying the conversation as they continued to share stories about their hometowns. She then turned to Cemre, her eyes glinting with interest. "What about you, Cemre? What high school did you attend?" she asked, genuinely curious to learn more about her.

Cemre's smile widened as she replied, "I went to Istanbul Erkek High School in Istanbul that emphasizes both academics and the arts. It was a wonderful experience." The group listened intently, eager to hear more about her experiences and the contrasts between their schools and communities.

Lauren, clearly impressed, chimed in with enthusiasm, "That's awesome!"

Margaret nodded in agreement.

Cemre then turned to Lauren and asked, "What high school did you go to?"

Lauren smiled and replied, "I went to Mount Notre Dame High School. It was a pretty big school, but I loved being part of the astrology program there."

Cemre smiled and added, "That's cool! It's wonderful to hear how passionate you are about something like that." Cemre then turned to Margaret and asked, "What high school did you go to?"

Margaret smiled and replied, "I attended Westfield High School. It was a wonderful experience for me!"

Cemre nodded in intrigue and said, "That sounds interesting!" What do you enjoy most about it?"

Margaret's eyes lit up as she reminisced, "I really loved the sense of community there. The teachers were supportive, and I made some lifelong friends who shared my interests."

Cemre exclaimed, "That's awesome!" Then she asked Lauren what classes she would be taking.

Lauren smiled and said, "This semester, I'm taking English Literature, Advanced Biology, Calculus, Physiology, Alchemy, and Art History. I'm really excited about them!"

Cemre exclaimed, "That's awesome!" Then she asked Margaret what classes she would be taking.

Margaret thought for a moment and replied, "This semester, I'm enrolled in psychology, creative writing, environmental science, statistics, art history, and modern art. I'm really looking forward to them!"

Cemre smiled and said, "That sounds fantastic! Each of those classes has so much to offer."

Lauren asked Cemre, "What classes are you taking?"

Cemre replied, "I'm taking English Literature, Advanced Biology, Calculus, Physiology, and Art History. I'm really excited about them!"

"That's awesome!" Lauren responded.

Margaret nodded in agreement, adding, "I think we all have a lot to look forward to this semester!"

Lauren and Margaret nodded their heads in agreement.

Then Cemre suggested, "Why don't we start unpacking our stuff?"

The others agreed, and they began to sort through their boxes and bags, excitedly sharing their new supplies and books. "I can't wait to dive into our classes together!" Margaret said as she pulled out her colorful notebooks.

Lauren and Cemre nodded their heads in agreement.

As they unpacked, the announcement came over the intercom: "Attention all new students, please gather in the quad."

The excitement in the air shifted slightly as they exchanged curious glances. "I wonder what it's about." Cemre mused, setting down a bright blue folder.

Margaret shrugged, her eyes sparkling with anticipation. "Maybe it's something fun! Or an important announcement!"

Lauren smiled, her hands still busy organizing her supplies. "Whatever it is, let's finish up here quickly so we can find out!"

With a shared sense of eagerness, they quickly packed away their belongings and headed out, ready to see what awaited them in the quad.
