Love Chase [Thai BL]

Chapter 6: 6: Mr. Land of Smiles

Jason rolled over to nuzzle the sleeping figure beside him, stroking Teeradon's firm abs. He hadn't gone anywhere this afternoon because the moment Teeradon arrived, he'd been dragged to bed. Their passionate session had left him nearly breathless with pleasure.

"Are you hungry yet?" Jason murmured against the neck of the young nightclub owner of The Dazzle, Bangkok's premier club that accepted only high-society members.

"Mmm..." Teeradon groaned and shifted to lie on his side.

"I'm hungry. Let's go out for dinner." Jason meant: It's nearly evening, let's get ready for the club.

Teeradon continued his usual groaning, as if he preferred lying still to doing anything else, despite their energetic two-round session four hours ago.

"It's almost seven," Jason began pouting because he was genuinely hungry.

"I'm not hungry yet," Teeradon mumbled.

"Let's shower. You'll be hungry after showering. We can shower together—I'll scrub your back and make you feel good." Jason kissed the neck of his prone companion.

"Mmm..."

The young singer sighed softly and pulled away from the body that captivated him, glancing at Teeradon again before getting off the bed and heading to the bathroom. He wanted to yank the covers off and drag him to shower and dress, but didn't dare.

He couldn't afford to lose Teeradon. He admitted being completely infatuated with this handsome executive, though he'd once thought about seriously dating him, he knew it was impossible.

Teeradon was a playboy with multiple concurrent partners, rotating endlessly. Being Teeradon's boyfriend would be harder than making his debut album internationally successful and cracking MTV's top ten.

But I need Teeradon. The Dazzle is incredibly upscale. Even famous singers beg to perform there because they want to 'showcase' themselves. The clientele each night consists of executives. If my performance catches the eye of record label owners or high-level entertainment executives, my career prospects improve dramatically.

When he emerged from the bathroom, Jason still found Teeradon sleeping with no sign of waking. As he stood admiring Teeradon's perfect physique, the executive's phone vibrated. Jason glanced at it, and after nearly a minute of persistent ringing, he shook the sleeping figure.

"What now..." Teeradon finally opened his eyes, voice groggy.

"Your phone's been ringing forever," Jason handed him the device, then sat quietly watching the young man take it. Teeradon looked at the screen and sighed heavily before answering.

"Toey, I'm sleeping. Why are you bothering me? This isn't work hours. I'll fire you." Teeradon's voice was stern.

Jason secretly sighed with relief, having initially thought it was one of Teeradon's other 'boys.'

"Why does it have to be now?" Teeradon's voice rose, his temper flaring.

"Fine, don't time me." Teeradon answered curtly after hearing the lengthy response, then tossed the phone onto the bed.

"You're leaving?" Jason's face fell, immediately guessing work had called.

"My secretary's tracking me down." Teeradon turned to embrace the young singer's waist. "I forgot about an event."

"Then don't go. Let's hit the club instead—much more fun than some boring event." Jason tried to persuade him.

"You have a point, but I have to go. My secretary negotiated that I just need to give closing remarks. I'm going crazy working from dawn to dusk." Teeradon complained without showing signs of getting up.

"Then you should shower first or you'll be late. After the closing speech, we can go clubbing. I'll wait at the club." Jason leaned down to kiss the man on the bed.

"I don't want to go tonight." Teeradon pouted.

"Why not? You own the place—you need to oversee your business."

"I went the night before last. Everything runs smoothly. It's self-managing. I don't need to monitor it constantly. My assistant's competent. Tonight I want to go driving."

Maybe I'll get to race that motorcycle again.

Teeradon smiled, unable to suppress thoughts of last night's excitement. He wanted to force that motorcycle off the road, yank off the helmet, and get a clear look at the mysterious young rider's face. Something told him the 'speed demon' was quite handsome.

With such a great body and gorgeous ass, his face must be pretty cute too.

"I want to go the Dazzle. I'm dying of boredom." Jason whined, pressing his naked body against the other man. "But if you're not going to the club, can I come driving with you?"

No way. You'll be like Sarin—the moment we start speeding, you'll look ready to vomit.

"I think you should go to the club. I'll call Niwat to let you get the VIP couch. Bank Nitinai is singing tonight too. Go watch. If you get a slot, I want you to outperform Bank." Teeradon tempted him.

It worked. Jason's eyes widened with pure delight. "Really? When? Next month would be perfect. You're the best, Teeradon."

"Hold on, let me check the schedule first. You know it's packed solid. I need to find an opening. But for now, fulfill your promise." Teeradon smiled brilliantly.

"What promise?" The young singer looked confused.

"You said if I showered, you'd make me feel good." Teeradon pulled away the covers and pushed the singer's shoulders down.

"You're insane. Did you hear what I said? I meant if you shower—in the bathroom—not before showering." Jason protested but let his hands slide lower to grasp Teeradon's manhood, adjusting position for easier access.

"Come on, before or after, it's the same thing." Teeradon smiled, closing his eyes to watch the man who kept shaking his head in protest but still yielded to his guiding hands.

"Where do you get this energy? After two rounds this afternoon, you still have reserves?" Jason asked hoarsely before his mouth became occupied.

"Mmm." Teeradon arched his back, unable to answer because speech had become impossible. In his mind, he ranked all his partners, and if he were scoring, Jason would make the final ten in terms of providing 'satisfaction.'

And that pale-skinned, dark-browed, prominent-nosed, red-lipped guy—would he make the cut? If those red lips I glimpsed when he was hanging from the building's iron rail were doing Jason's job right now, would he push Jason completely out of the running?

Teeradon always told himself that Toey was the most capable secretary who understood him best. Though sometimes he wanted to strangle the young man, remembering his unmatched work abilities helped him restrain himself every time.

But this time, beyond wanting to strangle his secretary, Teeradon wanted to tear him to pieces.

"You should thank Toey for trying his absolute best to get you to just give the closing speech. Do you know how many people Toey had to face while you were missing?" The secretary argued.

"Why does it have to be me? There are others—vice presidents, department heads, managers, supervisors. Delegate to them." Teeradon downed his whiskey in one gulp.

"You'll be too drunk to speak coherently," Toey shook his head.

"If I'd known it was this kind of event, I definitely wouldn't have come. Exhausting and boring. I'm miserable." Teeradon complained.

"More like exhausted from exertion."

"What's that supposed to mean?" Teeradon frowned.

"We've worked together long enough—I can tell. You've been distracted since this afternoon when you took your 'boy' to 'bed exercise,' then slept so deeply you forgot your appointment. You wouldn't answer calls, and when you finally did, you sounded groggy. Then you took forever to arrive after accepting the call—probably went another round, right? Despite all that, you still arrived later than late, yet your face is glowing. You must have expelled a lot of toxins from your system."

"Such imagination, Toey." Teeradon pursed his lips. No one was more perceptive than his secretary.

"Just bear with it. Less than half an hour and you can go gallivanting again."

"Nothing but old people wearing thick glasses. Good thing they didn't bring textbooks—one or two each." Teeradon looked around, trying to convince himself he was dreaming about standing in the middle of an academic conference closing reception that his company sponsored by funding university research laboratory construction.

"What bad karma have I done?" Teeradon exhaled.

If I'd known, I'd have gone clubbing with Jason instead. When Toey called to wake me up, I was too dazed to ask what kind of event.

"I'm going for a walk. I'll be back." Teeradon spoke quickly.

"Absolutely not. Don't you dare disappear." Toey looked alarmed, grabbing his boss's wrist.

"I won't. Just walking around this event."

"When I take the stage, walk to the front immediately. When the MC calls you up, stride up elegantly. And don't drink until your face is red, and please be ready." The secretary drilled instructions into his boss.

"Got it." Teeradon raised a fresh whiskey glass and drained it, then grabbed another.

"This is your last glass," Toey pleaded. "Please."

"Fine, but stop with the rhyming lectures." Teeradon negotiated and quickly left his secretary, thinking he'd spotted someone 'worth watching' near the exit.

Pirayu swirled his glass while staring intently at the orange juice as if analyzing its sour components that made his eyes water. He'd come to the reception at a friend's invitation—a university professor—hoping to discuss curriculum improvements for his school with education sector veterans.

"Bored too?" A confident voice spoke near his ear. Pirayu startled, nearly dropping his glass, but when he turned toward the greeting's owner, the kindergarten owner's jaw dropped.

"I'm bored to death. Didn't expect to find someone equally bored." The man who'd approached him continued.

He wasn't bored—just tired from talking and taking a break with a dry throat.

"Yes, equally bored." Pirayu smiled broadly in his characteristic way, eyes sparkling like the embodiment of Thailand's 'Land of Smiles' tourism slogan.

"You're bored, but your smile doesn't show it." Teeradon looked incredulous. The young man's smile was like fireworks illuminating the night sky.

What kind of person is this? Such a beautiful smile. Fair skin, dark brows, round eyes, small mouth and nose.

Adorable...

"Just a bored smile," the slender man who reached only Teeradon's shoulder laughed with a clear voice.

"If you're not bored, how many times more beautiful would your smile be?" Teeradon sent sparkling glances, feeling instantly smitten.

"I'd probably smile ear to ear."

Teeradon laughed at the cute man's humor, his accumulated boredom since entering the event and seeing his secretary's face completely disappearing.

"I think we should go outside to chat away our boredom. I've been standing so long my legs hurt." Teeradon invited.

"Um..." Pirayu hesitated, face still smiling. "The thing is, I..."

"I guarantee that chatting with me outside won't bore you. If you're bored, you can kick me once."

"I wouldn't dare. You're so big and strong-looking—I'd worry about hurting my foot." Pirayu laughed softly and nodded, following the large man outside the ballroom.

The moment they reached the door, Teeradon's phone rang and vibrated in his pocket. He intended to ignore it, but the persistent caller wouldn't give up. The annoyed young executive immediately knew who it was.

"Mr. Toey, can I have a moment outside?" Teeradon gritted his teeth, forcing pleasantness into his voice.

"Don't get so carried away you forget your mission," the secretary warned.

"Are you watching me constantly?" Teeradon nearly shouted.

"If I don't watch, you disappear. About fifteen more minutes, that's all. Come finish your speech, then you can take Mr. Land of Smiles to whatever heaven you want. I don't want to know." The young secretary sounded equally irritated.

Teeradon sighed heavily and hung up abruptly, then turned to smile at the boyish-faced young man who was smiling at him again.

What kind of person is this? Smiling so beautifully it's insane. Those thin lips—when he smiles, it makes me want to keep watching. And those thin, rosy-red lips—how wonderful would it be to touch them.

And this slender figure—without clothes, he'd be...

God, I'm going crazy. Why is this happening? Every time I meet someone cute, I can't stop thinking inappropriate thoughts.
