LUCKY REINCARNATION: REINCARNATED WITH A HAREM SYSTEM

Chapter 173: Falling

A white flash descended from the sky and landed in front of Leon. It was Fengxu in her seven-meter-tall fox form; her white fur looked very beautiful under the moonlight.

Her white eyes gazed at Leon as she moved her face closer to sniff him.

"Are you alright?" She asked.

"Of course I am, do you think these spiders are enough to hurt me?" Leon said with a helpless smile.

'Besides, I still have the level 8 protective amulet that I got from the system.' he added inwardly.

Fengxu was about to say something else but she stopped as the ground suddenly trembled violently. Not far away from them, the yellow sand stuff shot into the air as if an explosion had set off underground. The shockwave was so strong that it sent disciples and spiders flying into the night sky.

From the ground, a gigantic worm-like creature with a body that looked like dried mud shot out from the ground with its abyss-like mouth wide open.

It dove at the spiders and disciples in the air, trying to eat them all up in one bite. Its mouth was several meters wide so swallowing the tens of disciples and spiders wasn't impossible.

But the disciples were not just going to stay in the air and watch themselves get eaten by an ugly worm; they were disciples of a second-rated sect and were martial experts!

All of them immediately mobilised the Shi in their bodies and pushed it out through their limbs. Using this, they were able to control their bodies in the air and launch themselves toward the nearest spider before using them as a foothold to get out of the range of this giant worm's mouth.

Chop!

The sound was deafening when the worm closed its mouth; it had eaten more than ten spiders in a single bite. Luckily, the disciples had all managed to escape in time.

From where Leon stood, he stared at the worm with wide eyes while trying to calm his rapidly beating heart.

'Damnit!' Leon cursed inwardly. He had almost gotten a heart attack just now when this damned worm suddenly appeared from the ground; he thought it was the sand beast that they had seen when they were coming to Gulu Plain.

Luckily, this worm wasn't the sand beast. Not only was it several times smaller than the sandworm, but its appearance also was not as scary as that of the sand beast.

He patted his chest before turning his gaze away from the worm. The disciples around it were already taking care of it and Leon predicted it would die anytime soon since it was already covered in cuts. It looks like, aside from its large body, it had no other noteworthy abilities.

The fight between the Falcon sect and the desert spiders continued but was soon coming to an end, as there were only a few hundred of them left. Quin Xuxu and the stronger members of the sect were cutting through the spiders like soldiers harvesting grain; if one strike wasn't enough, then take two!

After all, the spiders were too slow to keep up with their movements so it was easy to slash at them multiple times before they could even raise a leg to attack.

Leon didn't bother activating his lord of the harem skill to buff the strength of his harem members. These spiders were too weak and didn't deserve such grand treatments. If not for their numbers, the fight would have been over a long time ago.

Fengxu had once again moved to kill spiders, and a five-meter-tall spider found the chance to rush toward Leon.

Its legs stabbed into the yellow sand in front of Leon while its head bent to gaze at Leon on the ground, it opened its mouth and let out a loud shriek with liquid substances flying from its mouth.

Leon frowned deeply as he looked up at the head of the spider.

"How dare such an ugly thing look down on me just because you're bigger?" He snorted before jumping into the air with his hand punching out.

Three Worlds folding punch!

Bam!

Leon's fist was lightning fast, the spider wasn't able to react before it collided with the scale covering its head.

It was immediately pushed back several meters, but that wasn't enough, as Leon had actually delivered three punches with that single fist throw.

Bang!

Another sound rang out, and the scale on the head of the spider shattered; it was pushed further back with green blood dripping from its head, but it wasn't still enough.

Bang!

With the third sound, the head of the spider exploded into meat paste. Its body swayed for a bit before falling to the ground with a loud bang.

"Hmph! That will teach you not to look down on handsome people in your next life." Leon said with a snort.

Rumble!

Leon "..."

'Come on! Not again, how many of these ugly bastards are going to pop out from the ground?' Leon grumbled inwardly when the sound of the ground trembling was heard, he thought another beast was going to come out again.

But it seems like he had guessed wrong because this time, no beast crawled out from the ground. Instead, the sand around them suddenly began to sink into the ground; it was as if something was sucking the sand away.

Everyone was shocked by this scene. The spiders also strangely stopped attacking, and they all rushed into the sand like fishes jumping into a river.

"W-what's going on?"

A disciple who wasn't too far from Leon asked weekly, all the spiders around them were diving into the sand as if they were trying to escape from something; it was horrifying to watch.

"Everyone stay calm, keep your eyes open for any sudden changes!" Bai Quing's voice rang out; Leon was unable to see her since there was a sea of disciples between them.

Just after Bai Quing's voice reached everyone's ears, the ground under their feet collapsed.

Everyone suddenly realized that they had lost their footing and were currently falling into a dark hole that had spawned all over the place. A strong force that prevented even experts like Quin Xuxu from flying enveloped everyone and made sure that they all fell into the holes.

"What the?!" Leon gasped in shock when he found himself falling into a dark hole with a bunch of disciples around him, girls were screaming and frantically waving their hands as if trying to hold on to something.

In comparison, Leon was calmer. He gripped his sword firmly and observed his surroundings as they fell.

He was unable to see anything!

Everything around them was pitch black, and he wasn't able to see more than what the moonlight that was bathing the hole allowed him to see, which were obviously his fellow disciples.

He wasn't able to make out the appearance of anything else aside from them.

Leon didn't stop there, he proceeded to spread his Shi in all directions. After observing the disciples, he realized that he was currently the strongest person as all of them were at the fourth level and he was the only level 5; it was sort of his duty to look out for them as their Senior brother.

'What a headache,' Leon thought to himself. He would prefer any of his Senior sisters or Master to be her so they could take control of the situation instead, he wasn't a fan of playing commander.

Leon pushed that thought to the back of his mind as he returned his focus to sensing his surroundings. If the situation would permit him to go solo, then there was no need for him organising the disciples; he would abandon them once they landed.

They were adults after all, and could take care of themselves.

After a few seconds of probing the darkness with his Shi, Leon's eyes flashed with a glint and a helpless smile formed on his face.

'Guess I'll be needing them,' he thought.

What he had discovered to make him reach this conclusion was that there were currently tens of spiders running alongside them. This hole was actually about fifteen metres wide and had a circular wall of some sort, the damned spiders were running along the wall in the darkness and were heading down as well!

Although Leon wasn't afraid of them, he roughly counted about seventy of them when his Shi brushed past them.

It would be troublesome if all of them charged at him once they reached the ground. Moreover, he didn't know if he would be able to escape since they were arriving at an unfamiliar place; using the disciples would be better.

"Everyone, listen up! Do not panic, use your Shi and stay close to each other. Senior brother will protect you!" Leon shouted at the disciples who were still screaming.

All of them immediately shut their mouths and turned to look in his direction, their eyes widened when they saw him. Leon was currently in a cool pose; his legs were straight as he fell, and it looked like he was drifting to the ground instead of falling. One of his hands was behind his waist while his other hand held his sword and pointed it at the ground, his white hair fluttered wantonly in the air and had a soft glow because of the moonlight.

He was like a sword immortal passing through a storm, cool!
