Chapter 87 Eerie Feeling
Xavier felt lightheaded and he could see his own body turning into pixel and fading away but he felt no pain till his body was erased.
If like like something straight out of a game of him, like when a character defeats a beast and the beast disintegrates, that's what happened to him.
Only that Xavier didn't die he was just teleported.
Xavier landed on his feet and immediately looked at his body, no part of his body was missing and he let out a sigh of relief before looking around.
'Boy, for a second I thought I was done, but where the hell am I' Xavier mumbled, 'System'

Xavier stared at his stats, since his system was here that means he isn't dead, and he got a +10 to his spellpower, but that wasn't the matter at hand as Xavier looked around.
He was in some kind of cave, an enormous cave, far larger than he could think of since he had seen any caves before.
The walls were rough and uneven, covered with patches of greenish moss that glowed faintly, casting a dim, eerie light across the stone surfaces.
The air was damp, carrying a stale, earthy smell. Xavier could hear the steady, distant dripping of water echoing in the silence, adding an eerie feel to the place.
"How the fuck did I end up here?" he muttered.
There hadn't been any warning, no flash of light, no spell cast on him, the girl just said her mark was on Xavier and boom, his body started disintegrating.
Xavier took a step forward, his boots crunching softly against loose pebbles and dirt.
"Guess I don't have much choice but to look around. Standing here isn't going to help."
As he ventured deeper, Xavier noticed odd carvings on some of the rocks. They were symbols he didn't recognize, etched into the walls with a precision that seemed almost unnatural.
'Maybe they were don with magic' he thought.
The symbols glowed faintly, just like the moss, but their blue light pulsed slightly, as if reacting to his presence.
"Mysterious symbols that I can't read, That's just what I needed," he mumbled, though he was careful not to touch them.
Who knew what kind of magic could be embedded in these strange carvings?
The path twisted and turned, leading Xavier through narrow corridors and into wide-open spaces, he just continued forward since it was the only way.
The silence was fucking eerie, broken only by his own footsteps and the occasional drip of water.
He kept his senses alert, knowing that caves like these could hide any number of creatures or traps but luckily he had his sword with him.
The lack of natural light also made it difficult to tell how much time was passing; it could have been minutes, or hours, since he arrived.
Finally, he entered a massive chamber that took his breath away. Stalactites hung from the ceiling, dripping with condensation, while stalagmites rose from the floor, reaching up like jagged teeth. In the center of the chamber was a large pool of crystal-clear water, its surface so still it was like glass. Strangely enough, the water emitted a faint blue glow, illuminating the entire area.
Cautiously, Xavier approached the edge of the pool, peering into its depths. He could see faint shapes moving beneath the surface, but he couldn't make out what they were. Every instinct told him not to touch the water, so he kept his distance.
It might be fishes but he had no way of finding out, but there was a narrow way around the pool so he took the option of going around the pool of water.
Xavier took a step and from the corner of his eyes it felt like the water moved a little, Xavier paused and observed the water again but nothing happened for almost a minute or two so he took another step staring at the water.
As Xavier carefully moved around the edge of the glowing pool, he noticed something in the pool.
Xavier stopped, sensing something lurking in the depths of the water.
Squinting, he leaned closer, trying to see through the shimmering surface. The faint shapes he'd glimpsed earlier were now clearer, writhing and twisting like they were alive.
And then, without warning, the water erupted.
A massive, serpentine creature burst out, sending waves crashing over the edge of the pool.
Immediately Xavier staggered back, barely keeping his balance as he took in the sight of the beast.
It looked like a water serpent, its body long and covered in scales that shimmered like liquid sapphire. Its eyes glowed blue, and as it hissed, it bared rows of needle-sharp teeth that gleamed in the eerie light.
"Of course," Xavier muttered, his heart pounding. "Just my luck, what the fuck is this?"
The serpent lunged at him, its jaws snapping shut inches from his face. Xavier reacted instantly, dodging to the side as the creature's powerful tail whipped around, narrowly missing his head.
He drew his sword, gripping it tightly as he prepared to fight. There was no way around this; going back into the cave where there was no escape only meant one thing, he was going to die, a slow death from hunger.
The serpent coiled back, watching him with a cold, calculating stare, before launching another attack.
This time, it swung its tail toward him, and Xavier barely had time to raise his sword to block it.
The impact sent a painful jolt through his arms, nearly knocking the weapon from his hands. His feet slid back a few inches across the damp ground, but he held his stance, gritting his teeth.
Xavier swung his sword at the creature, slicing into its side, but the blade only nicked its scales. The serpent recoiled, letting out a furious hiss before twisting its body and lunging at him again, jaws wide.
Xavier dodged to the side, slashing at the beast's neck, but his sword skidded off its tough scales.
"Damn it, you're tough," he muttered, frustration building as he backed away.
The serpent pressed its advantage. It lashed out with its tail, and it was too fast for him to dodge, Xavier got hit hard in the ribs.
He stumbled back, gasping as pain flared through his side. Desperate, he thrust his sword forward, aiming for the serpent's head. The blade grazed its cheek, drawing a thin line of dark blue blood, but it wasn't enough to slow the creature down.
The serpent darted forward, wrapping part of its body around Xavier's legs, pinning him in place.
His heart raced as he struggled against the creature's grip, but it was too strong, and the body was too hard for him to penetrate.
With a sharp hiss, the serpent leaned in, its glowing blue eyes inches from his face. He could feel its hot breath, as its jaws opened wide.
Panic surged through him. He had to do something, fast, or he'd be its next meal, now he knew why the girl sent him here, he was going to die in this fucking cave.
"No way I'm dying here" Xavier shouted as the serpent launched forward.
He brought his sword up and drove it into the serpent's mouth, pushing with all his might. The blade sank into the soft tissue at the roof of its mouth, and the serpent let out a high-pitched screech, thrashing wildly in pain. Xavier used the opportunity to twist the sword deeper, hoping to hit something vital.
Finally, with one last violent shake, the serpent released him and collapsed, its body twitching as it slid back into the pool. The water around it turned murky, swirling with dark blue blood as the creature sank beneath the surface, disappearing from sight.
Breathing heavily, Xavier staggered back, clutching his side where the serpent's tail had struck him as he backed away from the water.
His body was aching, and he could feel the sting from the cut of the serpent, some of it's teeth but Xavier before he attacked it.
But he'd survived.
"Thought that was it for me, Just today I've had four instances that I thought I was going to die" he mumbled, wiping sweat from his forehead.
Taking a deep breath, Xavier used his healing spell, letting the familiar warmth spread through his body.
The sharp pain in his ribs eased, and the cuts along his arms closed, leaving only faint scars.
As he finished healing, he looked back at the pool, half-expecting the serpent to reappear. But the water was calm.
"Well, that was a nice little surprise," he muttered sarcastically. "What else is hiding in this damn cave?"
Glancing around the chamber, he noted the eerie silence that had returned. He knew he couldn't stay here, not with creatures like that lurking around.
Carefully, he continued along the narrow path around the pool, staying as far from the water's edge as possible.
