Chapter 323: Beast Embodiment
Hovering above Leon, the quasi- transcendent beings eyes gleamed. It looked very annoyed by Leon.
That explosion just a few minutes ago had killed a lot of the his brothers, even though they would naturally be reborn dying was still extremely painful.
He couldn't let this fight continue.
"Die" he dashed forward with blind speed smashing through the tree he had knocked Leon's into and turned it into pieces.
"Fuck!!" Leon cursed, to the side showing that he had dodged in the last second.
If there was anything he seriously hope for, it was to avoid fighting this crazy quasi-transcendent being. This was why he created that smoke screen so he could escape.
Unfortunately he had been caught.
"Run, I have to run" he knew what he was capable of, fighting a quasi-transcendent being was not it. So in a split second he ran rushed away.
"Not so fast" another hand came crashing down punching him square in the face, causing him to lose his balance once again.
There was another one, much more powerful than the rest, not at the quasi-transcendent stage but not too far off. Leon's eyes quickly danced around soon noticing that he was surrounded by insanely powerful individuals.
Could he even escape this? It felt like he had jumped right out of the frying pan and directly into the fire with this one.
"Can I surrender?" Leon asked feeling helpless. He wanted to negotiate his way out of this.
This was just too overwhelming, maybe he could slip away if he allowed them to capture him.
"Surrender? That was an option maybe 20 minutes ago….but now?" One of the around 7 individual shook his head.
This kid had too many secrets, at least they couldn't see through him entirely even now. Killing him was the only sure way to achieve anything from this fight.
"I see" Leon nodded then without warning flashed forward trying to escape once more.
-boom
He was hit again, but did he stop? Using the momentum of being punched, he dashed in another direction hoping to escape.
-boom
But he was hit again, and again, and again. These 7 were like a well oiled mechine, they must have worked together for decades to achieve tbis sort of teamwork. Even Leon couldn't find a single whole in their formation.
So he kept getting hit again and again, bloodying his cloths, making him dizzy and slowly causing him to cough up pints of blood.
Exhaustion soon took him as he felt his body losing its grip on the fight, in as much as his mind was still in it, his body was completely being overwhelmed.
"Hahaha, don't beat yourself up kid, in the past decade no one has escaped the hands of the Swarm"
"Don't worry, we'll give you an honorable death"
"Or we could just skin you alive after breaking all your limps"
The mocking voices of the men started sounded flashing through this scene and one in his past life. Ambushed by so many, a dishonorable death.
This was all too familiar.
"Is this really going to happen again?" Leon sighed, he was too much in a hurry to come to the central continent, maybe if he had prepared more….maybe
As his visions started to blur, he noticed a hologramic screen appear before him followed by a voice he hadn't heard since forever.
[Ding
Suggestion available in backlogs]
The system he had not used since the situation with Altor had once again arisen giving him a way out.
"Haha, do I even have a choice? Fuck, hit me with it" Leon smirked bitterly, his body covered in blood and wounds and his gaze drowsy from the beatings.
If this seemingly unwinnable situation could be solved, he didn't mind signing his soul to even the devil.
[ Beast Embodiment]
[ the promogenitor has always sort out a way to make warlocks more entuned with magic.
their counterparts, the mages had weak bodies and the warlocks weak magic, but at level 4 the mage forms a spiritual embodiment that removes their flaw allowing them to be physically strong.
The same could not be said for the warlock who could only rely on the external help of bloodline summons, to solve this the primogenitor created an experimental technique]
[ding host has received schematics for beast embodiment]
A torrent of information was soon downloaded into Leon's mind forcing him to frown for a second before eventually smiling.
'This will work'
The thought in his mind before raising his head and looking directly at the Quasi-transcendent being as if saying heads up.
At the sight of this, he frowned and turned back, only to see that a giant spiritual Dragon beast was barreling towards him from out of nowhere.
He instinctively dodged the sneak attack,
But this was exactly what Leon wanted.
The beast Actualization soon came rushing towards him as he stood up with his hands spread out to embrace it. Gritting his teeth, he readied himself as he Drake beast coiled into his chest sending a wave of energy through him.
His eyes blowed with a black and red light overwhelming him then forcing him to his knees. He grimaced in pain holding his chest.
This beast embodiment was experimental after all, and even Altor had never tried it. But Leon didn't have a choice right now.
All of a sudden he collapsed to the ground, squirming in pain, as the 7 mages looked at him with confusion, they didn't know what he was up to again.
However, soon they noticed his life signature grow dim as the light was slowly sniffed out of him.
"Ahh? He'd rather die than be killed huh? " the transcendent being smiled, it seemed like the kid committed sucide.
But in the next second, a disgusting energy burst into the air emitting from Leon's body as he was soon consumed by a bulkly amour.
It coiled around his body as his hair and it started to glow with a dangerous energy.
Before they could even put together what had just happened, Leon flashed forward grabbing the head of one of the seven before smashing it into the ground with all his strength.
A cloud of dust picked up but he didn't move, hate filled in his eyes he looked up at the rest with an angry expression.
-woosh
He disappeared grabbing another one of the peak level 4 great mages like a ragg doll and breaking his arm.
A gut wrenching screech resounded sending a chill down the spine of whomever heard it.
"You guys, to me, we have to attack him together" the Quasi-transcendent being barked at the remaining main quickly rallying his men.
This change the kid had undergone was not normal, it felt like he had lost the last bit of humanity he had left just now .
Without a second thought they all gathered around him not willing to face this kid anymore.
Soon the dust settled, and surprisingly, Leon was no where to be found.
"What the hell? Where is he?" They all panicked looking around hoping to spot him. But they couldn't….that is until they noticed fire slowly consuming their surroundings.
In around 10 seconds they were surrounded by a burning, unquenchable flame.
"He's trying to roast us alive?!!" One of the mages asked looking around hurriedly. That change, killing two of them in a single breath. It was scary even if they would be reborn.
"Shut up!! What has a little fire ever done to anyone?" The quasi transcendent being barked feeling their fear was unfounded.
Of course, he would soon change his mind as soon corpses were thrown from outside the fire into it, he was killing the others.
"We have to help them" the transcendent being tried to rally his men, but none of them moved and neither did he.
No one liked to fight the unknown.
That night, almost all the members of the swarm were burnt to a crisp except for 4 peak level 4 beings and the quasi transcendent being.
This of course was not from a lack of trying, as Leon did indeed fight him to his last breath. But he just couldn't break through their line of defense.
…
The next morning just as the sun was about to rise…Leon's figure stumbled into a dark cave where he fell unconscious.
The night before was beyond anything he had ever seen, but he was able to escape thanks to the beast embodiment technique.
However, it had done more harm than good, his entire body was crumbling, such an experimental technique did it's fair share of damage to the body. All his bones were shattered and his heart was failing.
He wasn't captured or killed, but what was the difference? He was still going to die.
Closing his eyes for the second time, Leon accepted his fate.
However, fate did not accept him as a shadow soon loomed over him.
"Ahh? A Warlock boy in the central continent? Interesting, very interesting" a feminine voice resounded
