Martial Emperor of Blue Star, Turned into a Blood Slave Girl by a Vampire Princess

vol. 1 chapter 11 - Arena

The dungeon air was cold and damp, laced with the stench of rust and decay.
Catherine dragged Degrienne by the wrist, leading her through a dim corridor.
From behind iron bars on either side, prisoners raised their heads, gazes full of either dread or hatred.

“Catherine! You damned—!”
An elf lunged toward the bars, only to be thrown back by an invisible barrier, landing hard on the ground.
Degrienne followed closely behind, unease growing in her chest.

She glanced around and saw hundreds of prisoners locked up here.
Humans, elves, dwarves... but the vast majority were werewolves.
Most were scarred and battered, their eyes burning with hatred toward Catherine.

Their cultivation levels varied wildly—from lowly Body Tempering tier wolves to a Heaven-Man realm werewolf whose silvered fur glinted ominously.
That one stood out, bound by special chains. Even from within the cage, chaotic elemental energy radiated off him like a storm barely held back.
Back on Blue Star, a Heaven-Man realm master could summon storms and call down heavenly tribulations. Now? Caged like a stray dog.

“Surprised?” Catherine smiled. “Just a bunch of inferior breeds…”
Degrienne let out a bitter smile.
What was there to be surprised about?

She herself, once a Martial Emperor of the Ninth Realm, was now nothing more than a caged freak… reshaped into this pathetic form.
Lost in thought, she didn’t notice when Catherine suddenly pulled her around a corner.
From the depths of the dungeon came the clanking of chains and the guttural growls of beasts.

“Do you smell it?”
Catherine’s crimson eyes glimmered in the dark. “That scent—it's fear.”
Before Degrienne could reply, Catherine yanked her forward—
Then stopped with a cold smirk tugging at her lips. “We’re here.”

Before them stood a massive arena, its perimeter sealed by towering iron fences, the floor stained with dried blood.
Degrienne barely had time to process the scene before Catherine shoved her inside.
“You—!”

She stumbled a few steps, barely catching herself as she glared at Catherine.
But Catherine merely raised her hand, crimson light blooming at her fingertips.
A bestial roar erupted from deep within the dungeon.

A massive werewolf, dragged by chains, was thrown into the arena with a crash.
It growled low, golden # Nоvеlight # eyes locked on Degrienne, fangs bared.
Perched on the observation platform above, Catherine crossed her legs elegantly. “The rules are simple. The two of you fight. The one who survives—”

A flick of her finger sent a ribbon of bloodlight flying, melting the lock off the cell gate like molten iron.
“—gets their freedom.”
The werewolf’s ears shot up. His golden pupils contracted. “Y-You’re serious?”

“What?” Catherine rested her chin lazily on one hand. “Don’t trust a bloodkin princess anymore?”
She snapped her fingers, and the shackles binding the werewolf shattered.
Freed, the beast’s spine arched and fur bristled, letting out a menacing growl.

He cracked his joints slowly before setting his eyes on Degrienne.
“I get to kill a bloodkin’s lapdog and walk out free? Heh… didn’t think luck like this existed.”
He grinned, exposing glistening white fangs. His brawny arms bulged with corded muscle.

His claws dragged against the stone floor with a screech, sparks flaring. “Too bad you're too weak.”
Before he even finished the sentence, he lunged like black lightning!
Degrienne’s silver hair whipped in the air as she rolled sideways, narrowly avoiding the strike.

The spot she'd just stood on was torn into three deep gouges by his claws.
“Body Tempering Tier Nine…”
She backed up quickly, her crimson eyes locked onto the beast’s throat.

Her body might not have the power of her past life, but Lightning Induction Body Tempering Technique was no ordinary method. Its refinement of muscle and bone far surpassed others of the same realm—
With Tier Four strength, she could take on Tier Six. And with the instincts of a former Martial Emperor, she had a chance.
The werewolf snarled as his first attack failed, nostrils flaring in frustration.

He suddenly dropped low, muscles tensing. The stone beneath his feet cracked like spiderwebs.
“Boom!”
His second charge came even faster than the first!

Degrienne narrowed her eyes and darted backward—
But he vanished—reappeared behind her like a phantom—his claws slashing toward her spine!
Riiip—!

She twisted midair, but couldn’t dodge completely. Her left arm was grazed, three fresh gashes blooming red.
She stifled a groan, rolling forward to put space between them.
“Filthy bloodsuckers… Your blood’s a delicacy too.”

The werewolf licked his claws, eyes gleaming with savage delight.
Degrienne said nothing. Her crimson gaze never left his every movement.
She spotted a slight hitch in his right leg—

An old injury, maybe, from his time in chains.
The werewolf pounced again—this time, rapid claw strikes.
Degrienne weaved through the barrage, dodging, ducking, twisting—like a silver leaf dancing in the wind.

But the gap in cultivation was still too large. A claw clipped her waist, beads of blood blooming in its wake.
“Just gonna dodge forever?”
He sneered and suddenly swung his thick tail like a whip.

Degrienne barely leaned back in time—the tail passed right in front of her face.
She rolled again, but still caught the edge of the blow, stumbling backward several steps before regaining balance.
Catherine’s laughter rang down from above. “How messy, little one.”

Degrienne gritted her teeth. Her breathing was starting to turn erratic.
She had to find an opening. If this dragged on, she’d be finished.
At that moment, the werewolf suddenly leapt overhead—vaulting right over her!

“It’s over!”
He grinned midair, claws glinting as they arced toward the back of her skull.
In a flash, Degrienne ducked low—her right leg arcing up with vicious precision—

BANG!
A lightning-infused kick cracked into the werewolf’s wrist. Sparks exploded, and the beast recoiled with a pained howl.
“Lightning!?”

He shook his numbed wrist, shocked. “How the hell does a vampire have lightning affinity!?”
Degrienne charged in. Crackles of red lightning danced around her fingertips.
Refined combat instinct guided her. Every strike aimed at a vital—

Throat, joints, eyes—anywhere left open.
The werewolf stumbled under the flurry, barely able to defend himself.
On the platform above—

Catherine’s fingers tapped lazily on the armrest, eyes gleaming as she watched.
Though Degrienne’s cultivation had fallen, the battle instincts of a Martial Emperor remained as sharp as ever.
She caught the werewolf in a brief opening. Lightning surged from her palm—and with one fierce jab, pierced his left eye.

AWOOOO—!!
The werewolf howled in agony, staggering back. His left eye was scorched black.
Degrienne stood panting, silver hair clinging to her face, crimson eyes blazing like embers.

“Not bad~”
Catherine chuckled, but then slowly looked up—as if peering through the ceiling, all the way into the sky.
“Too bad… tonight’s a full moon.”

Her words had barely finished when the werewolf froze.
His charred eye socket began to twitch. Flesh regenerated visibly.
Then his entire body started to swell.

Hair grew in thick clumps. Fangs extended. His bones cracked and popped with grotesque force.
“Damn…” Degrienne’s brows furrowed. She instinctively stepped back.
Under the full moon, a werewolf’s power multiplied severalfold!

ROAAAAAAR—!!!
Fully berserk, the werewolf threw back his head and howled. The sound shook dust from the dungeon ceiling.
His remaining eye turned completely blood-red. The instant he locked eyes with Degrienne, the ground cracked beneath his feet from the force.

Catherine’s eyes narrowed with delight. “Now this is fun, isn’t it?”
There was no time to think. The werewolf lunged like a crimson hurricane—three times faster than before!
Degrienne barely leapt away—only to see the ground she’d just stood on ripped into a half-meter crater.

WHACK!
A tail-whip slammed into her waist. She spat blood as her body slammed into the iron fence.
The bars bent grotesquely. She slid down, vision spinning.

The werewolf advanced, saliva dripping from bared fangs.
Degrienne pushed herself up with effort. Blood dripped from her chin.
“Kh…!”

She spat a mouthful of blood.
She had vastly underestimated what a berserk werewolf could do.
“Now do you understand the value of obedience?”

Catherine’s voice drifted down, laced with amusement.
Degrienne looked up, meeting her glowing red gaze.
Catherine yawned lazily, magical thread coiling around one finger—

At any moment, she could strangle the werewolf with a flick.
“Beg me,” Catherine said sweetly, mocking. “Say you’ll be a good girl, and I’ll save you.”
The werewolf charged again. Degrienne rolled away—but not fast enough. His claws tore open her side.

She saw stars from the pain, but bit down hard on her lip, refusing to cry out.
“So stubborn,” Catherine sighed, shaking her head. “Fine… then let’s play a little longer.”
