Martial Emperor of Blue Star, Turned into a Blood Slave Girl by a Vampire Princess

vol. 1 chapter 12 - Tenderness Doesn’t Work? Then Let’s Try Something Else

Degrienne knelt on the floor, blood trailing down from her temple, blurring her vision.
“Stand still, little thing. Let me crush your skull…”
The werewolf’s twisted face contorted with a low, guttural laugh.

He advanced slowly, claws dripping with a ⊛ Nоvеlιght ⊛ (Read the full story) mix of saliva and blood. “Don’t worry, it’ll be quick. Won’t hurt a bit.”
Degrienne drew a deep breath. The last remnants of her internal energy surged violently through her body, gathering in her palm.
Crackle—!

Lightning exploded into a long whip of electricity, hissing and snarling in her hand.
The crackling arc scorched the ground with a blackened trail, the air heavy with the acrid stench of burning.
The werewolf halted mid-step. His golden beast eyes contracted sharply.

He could feel it—that whip radiated true lethality. Instinctively, he backed away half a step.
“Oh?”
From the spectator platform, Catherine sat up slightly, a flicker of surprise in her crimson eyes.

“To form a lightning whip in that state… I really did choose well, didn’t I, my little pet?”
Degrienne didn’t hesitate. The moment of the werewolf’s hesitation—she struck.
BOOM—!

The whip tore through the air and lashed across the werewolf’s chest.
The violent current surged through him. Fur singed and curled, flesh burst open in arcs of lightning.
The werewolf howled in agony, stumbling back before collapsing to his knees.

But the attack had also drained Degrienne of the last of her strength.
The whip dissolved into sparks. Her vision dimmed. She coughed blood and collapsed forward.
Through the haze, she saw the werewolf slowly clawing his way upright. Half of his body charred and mangled, yet still snarling, still crawling toward her—
“That’s enough.”

Catherine’s voice echoed cold and sharp.
The werewolf’s body froze.
Then with a bang, it exploded into a mist of blood.

Degrienne struggled to lift her head. Catherine now stood in the arena, her fingertip still glowing with residual crimson magic.
“Well done.”
She knelt beside her, pinching Degrienne’s bloodstained cheek between two fingers. “But next time… try to save a little strength to beg.”

Before Degrienne could respond, her body finally gave out. She crumpled forward.
Catherine caught her effortlessly, frowning slightly—
The silver-haired girl in her arms was drenched in blood, her breath barely a whisper, yet those half-lidded eyes still glared at her in stubborn defiance.

That look—unyielding even in the face of death—sent a strange thrill rippling through Catherine’s chest.
Her fingers tightened, leaving a red welt across Degrienne’s bloodied cheek.
“What a little spitfire…”

She murmured softly, caressing the girl’s face.
Warm blood, cold skin—the contradiction intoxicated her.
Then, without warning, she pressed her cheek against Degrienne’s blood-smeared face.

The scent of iron and sweetness filled her nose. Her tongue slid across the girl’s cheek, licking away the blood.
“So fragile…” she whispered, lips brushing Degrienne’s ear. “And yet you surprise me again and again…”
Mad affection glinted in her crimson gaze as she hugged the wounded girl tighter, crushing her into her embrace.

Degrienne’s feeble struggles only made Catherine hold her closer.
“You’re even cuter like this~”
She stared down at her barely breathing pet in a haze of obsession. “I really do love you best when you're broken…”

Degrienne’s hazy eyes suddenly shrank.
Catherine’s fingertip, stained with her blood, traced gently across her own pale lips.
The gesture, so saturated with possessiveness, made Degrienne’s skin crawl.

“Don’t be afraid.”
Catherine stood, lifting her into her arms. Her high heels clicked sharply on the dungeon floor. “I’m taking you to eat.”
They moved through the corridor until they stopped before a prison cell.

Inside, a blonde girl was shackled.
Her knight’s armor was in tatters, but she still held her head high, blue eyes shining with unwavering resolve.
“This one’s a proper knight of the Kingdom of Kasenia. By your world’s standards… Postnatal Realm.”

Catherine set Degrienne down. “She’s not strong, but her blood should be enough to restore you.”
“Oh—and she’s a virgin. Virgin blood is delightful.”
Degrienne forced herself upright, the edges of her vision swimming with darkness.

She could feel life slipping away. If she didn’t replenish her blood, she really might die.
She looked at the knight girl. The girl glared back in disgust.
“Filthy vampire!” she spat. “The kingdom will wipe your kind from the earth!”

Her voice was weak, but filled with conviction.
“The Ninth-Rank Judgement Knight has already received our call for aid. He’ll arrive soon—you monsters won’t last long!”
Degrienne’s fingers trembled.

She had once been a guardian of humanity. Now she had to feed on one of her own to survive?
“I… won’t…”
She gritted her teeth and tried to rise, but Catherine pressed her down by the shoulder.

“So stubborn.”
Catherine’s red lips curved in temptation. “If you don’t feed, you’ll die. And if you die, you’ll never get your revenge, never take back what you lost…”
“I…” Degrienne’s fangs had already extended, sharp and involuntary. Her hunger roared like a wildfire.

She squeezed her eyes shut, resisting with every last shred of will.
Then—
The knight girl straightened her back and said coldly:

“Come, monster! A knight of the kingdom would rather bleed to death than kneel to your kind!”
She glared at Degrienne with disdain, her lips curled in mockery. “Let me see how you bloodsucking beasts lick it up like dogs!”
Degrienne’s whole body trembled. Her nails dug into her palms.

She raised her hand—
But stopped just short of touching the girl’s neck.
“I’d rather die…” she choked, stumbling back. “I will not become a monster…”

The knight froze.
This vampire girl—was fighting her own instincts?
That wasn’t how bloodkin were supposed to behave.

“That’s not up to you.”
Catherine’s eyes flared scarlet.
She yanked the knight against the bars, slashing her arm with a claw.

Blood spilled instantly. Catherine grabbed Degrienne’s head and pressed the bleeding wound to her lips.
“Mmgh…!” Degrienne shook her head wildly, but the blood had already coated her lips.
The scent—sweet, metallic—flooded her senses. Her dormant instincts erupted like a volcano.

Her pupils blazed. Her body shook.
Every breath unraveled her mind, that fragrant blood tearing at her sanity.
“Look.”

Catherine licked her own lips, threading her fingers through Degrienne’s silver hair. “Your body is so much more honest than your mouth…”
Degrienne’s final resistance dissolved in a broken whimper.
When she came to, her tongue was already tracing the rivulets of blood on the knight’s throat.

The taste burned through her insides—but it filled her with rapturous satisfaction.
Gulp…
The sound of that last swallow echoed loudly.

Degrienne froze. The warmth still lingered on her tongue.
The body in her arms had gone cold. The knight’s pale face hovered inches away, blue eyes half-open—accusing her in silence.
“No…”

She let go. The knight’s body slumped to the floor.
She stared down at her bloodstained hands, stomach twisting. “This isn’t me…”
Catherine crept up from behind, arms coiling around her like snakes.

“You looked like you were enjoying it~”
She licked the last traces of blood from Degrienne’s lips. “Didn’t waste a single drop.”
“Ugh…”

The dam finally broke. Degrienne collapsed into Catherine’s arms, burying her face into her chest and sobbing uncontrollably.
Hot tears soaked through Catherine’s blouse, mingling with the dried blood.
“There, there…”

Catherine’s lips curved into a smile of triumph—
RIIIP!
Degrienne sank her fangs into her chest.

“Ahhn~”
Catherine moaned aloud, yanking her back by the throat.
“Heh…”

She rubbed the bite, now bleeding slightly. All softness vanished from her face.
“So my little pet likes it rough?”
Crimson threads of magic erupted, spreading through the air like a web and yanking Degrienne’s limbs outward, suspending her in midair.

Catherine ripped open her tattered collar and stepped forward.
“If tenderness doesn’t work…”
She gripped Degrienne’s jaw, forcing their eyes to meet.

“Then from now on, I’ll teach you obedience—through pain.”
“Veronica and the others will train you—starting as a proper maid.”
